      But you do great things for people. I’ll be moving to the Philippines in December 2024 and I’m really excited about that. Paul, your videos are preparing me for the move. I feel terrible for people like John but I don’t feel John has grasped the reasons for his financial issues and because of that I fear that history will repeat itself. It’s nice to help people up when they fall down but at some point they have to pull themselves up to get whatever it takes to survive. Thanks for everything you do Paul.

The Japanese family doesn't want to go through the hurdles, so this little girl will be fatherless and probably have a tough time growing up in Japan.

    John broke the first law which is not to live under the same roof with the in-laws. This rule is more relevant in the Philippines. I'm a Filipino, grew up in the PI, and one thing I'm not proud of about our culture is parents using their children as retirement plans. If you are the foreigner who married their child and share the same dwelling, YOU will be the retirement plan. Yes, I've seen foreigners who live with their in-laws happily but that's a very minute exception and most of the time the parents are already financially secured, educated, or have good-paying jobs like policemen, teachers, doctors, or run their own business.

    I have binge-watched all the videos about John and felt sorry for what happened to him and his relationship with Diana. I am 101% Filipino and I can tell you, guys, that most but NOT all Filipinas who are looking to marry an older foreigner online, whether it's American, Canadian, or European, are expecting that the guy they will marry will be able to help them get out of poverty. So if you are a retiree from America or another western country and you want to get into a relationship with a younger Filipina, who you know from a poor family, you should be aware that your girl is expecting you to provide not only for her but also for her immediate family. If you fail to become a good provider for your girl, expect that in the coming days, lots of quarrels between you will happen to the point that you will feel like you are not wanted anymore by your girlfriend. Again, I am not saying that all Filipinas are like this, but this happens. A young Filipina girl would never marry a guy that is 40 or 50 years older than her if she knows the guy would never be able to give him a better life (IMO). And to John, I wish you all the best sir.

    • @sluxi
      @sluxi Před rokem +11

      Nothing should be surprising about this really, except for the expectation that the whole family is taken care of and not just her and her children. In most western countries people aren't expected to take care and finance the life of their parents (at least not while they are still in good health) so it seems to come as a surprise to some who have not done their research when that is typically expected if not explicitly addressed in countries like the Philippines or Thailand.

You got a wife for sex, you got a maid to clean, to cook , to wash your clothes, iron your clothes ,free tour guide, you can stay permanently without hassle and most importantly you have protection in the community. Don't go to the Philippines and live like a King without enough resources, do these foreigners wash and iron their clothes? No they use the Filipina as Sex and Maid, Here is a perspective , in USA if you use a young blonde american as Sex, Cook, Cleaner , Wash your clothes, Iron your clothes, Tour guide, it will cost you $10,000 a month. Remember this every family member in the Philippines must help her/his family if she/he can.

    Diana's face betrays everything she feels - wearied, depressed, sad and miserable towards this whole relationship. She smiles slightly when the babies are near, but her mind seems overwhelmed by despair. Perhaps there is some sincere love struggling far below the surface, but it's not enough to buoy her strength. My heart goes out to her more than anyone else. It was not her responsibility to orchestrate how this teaming up should play out and be managed - it was entirely John's responsibility when he asked her to marry him. However, it becomes more and more evident that he didn't give much foresight to his plans, and now he is reaping the rewards. He needs to do some serious introspection when in the US, and work like he's never worked before, if he intends to rectify this nearly doomed episode of his life. Paul has been an utterly life-saving friend for John in his unequivocal acceptance, tolerance, charity and encouragement. Paul has done as much as anyone could do in his situation - thank you for a sobering yet inspiring series!

Paul is doing a great job with this and has what seems like a very educated approach to counseling, but a simple thing like sound could be greatly improved if he invested in a couple of $40 clip on microphones. Since Paul is a CZcams video maker, it would make sense to have the right microphones, also hanging a sheet or blanket on a couple of chairs behind the camera will reduce a lot of the echo. His desire for a "girl" led to him getting rinsed out (move in, pay for a house, share resources), but not all going to plan (from Diana and her families perspective) when she gets pregnant. He said it himself that no-one was happy throughout the pregnancy except him... and they are even less happy to discover that he doesn't have a Federal Reserve account after all. It's blindly obvious, even in the interview, she's not bothered about him.... at all. More red flags than a chinese communist parade. He's not a victim, nor is she .... only those children are victims. Whether the babies are "beautiful" (as per the comments) or not is besides the point. They didn't consent to being brought into the world and they've inherited all this crap. Even if John could erase the past, he'd do it again.... and again. He'll be in love with the next barely adult "girl" he claps eyes on.

      Well, you can't exactly change history, cause what is done is done... I mean, i kind of agree with you, as i think John has been blanketed most of he's life and since he moved to the Philippines, he has learnt the hard way and probably for the first time in he's life, but who knows; i could be wrong... But all in all, John and Diana are both responsible for all of this, regardless who might be older or more wiser; it doesn't take Einstein to figure out whats going to happen... They just need to take accountability for their actions and deal with it.

      @@ananumatanu7621 Yeah sure, he has done it before (barely adult girl, married her, got rinsed out). but managed to effectively erase the past (divorced). Learned nothing. What I'd call success at this point, as you say accountability / deal with it would be open honesty from Diana about the status quo on the relationship, acceptance from John that he has two children to support for many years. Lucky for him it seems US social security provides a surplus for children which he could funnel straight to her and hey presto he is bailed out by the US Government. Being an involved Father would be even better..... but the relationship? it's a load of rubbish.

Maybe you can get Baby Mae to translate what you said about Social Security & DNA Test back into Diana's native language, so she will understand better. Since John has already had a stroke, there is a strong possibility of having a 2nd stroke, which will price John out of Life Insurance coverage. Once the children are set up on the Social Security system then they will be eligible for survivor's benefits, a great help for Diana to raise the twins.

I know this for a fact because my wife gets up 4am every Sunday to prepare chicken and rice and water tubes to distribute to four groups who lineup as follows... line 1 are widows... line 2 are street kids... line 3 are mom's with kids... line 4 are men (most of whom are drug addicts or alcoholics) and if any food is left over we give the remaining food and water to the mentally ill and drug addicts who are huddled up along the sidewalks and park pagodas. Because of this weekly experience with my wife for over a decade... I'm mystified why vloggers here on CZcams are seemingly unaware of the reality of life here in the Philippines. So this young lady's claim of how her family is treating her is not unusual... and she is lucky she has found someone to give her money for food... because hundreds if not thousands of Filipinos are routinely mistreated or abandoned by their families nationwide for being a financial burden to their family... so hopefully this man will continue to send money to his wife while he is in the USA... because if not... she could easily end up on the streets begging for food and end in food lines along with many others.

      Why not take your wife and children away from there?
