Pretty meta, fixing a Makita, with a Makita. I dropped my ratchet, and the small direction selection tab broke off. Couldn’t buy the replacement tab, had to buy the full head mechanism.
Hello, I have the same ratchet, so far it works without any problems. I can't find any information about whether the head mechanism itself should be lubricated and with what grease.
I have broken 3 of them with normal use. They dont last 1 month!!! Luckily they were all under warranty with homedepot and was able to return them and get my money back. I'm waiting to see what is going to happen because all my tools from makita , and dont want to be on another battery line just because of a ratchet. They need to upgrade this thing.
Exactly, mine broke after only like 8 battery charges of usage, and i'm less lucky because i'm just a hobbyist working on my / friends cars every so often, so it was no longer under warranty, it's honestly a shame because it's great otherwise
I have the same "Makita WR100D Cordless Ratchet", the problem i am having with it is the little leaver on the Ratchet's Head keeps jumping from the direction you have it set when either doing up or loosening bolts and such, i don't know if there is a easy fix for this problem, but i will need to get it repaired as the Cordless Ratchet is pretty much useless as it is working currently! Also do you have a link to the replacement head you fitted?
I have the same issue eventually the spring inside the lever brakes and now my ratchet doesn't spin the gears inside spin but they're not engaging on the Anvil anymore because the selector can't engage which gear
Never expect makita make a tool so bad like this one. Got two of then both broken like this video. And the rotating part wicht is broken is so expansive and even you can’t get it in EU, called the manufacture the dealer no one can help you. 👎🏻
I have one of these. Bought out about 6 months ago. Finally got around to using it. It is NOT a good tool. Very disappointed. The direction lever keeps jumping out of its position so it is in between forward and reverse and then it doesn’t work. Very disappointed in this tool. Seems brittle and weak. Not properly tested before release.

my ratchet does this and i bought it 5 months ago. my ac delco is 2 years old and no issues.

are these failing frequently? have the newer parts have been upgraded?
