you guys could do an episode of this once a week and I'd watch every one of them. seriously, everyone that makes colt starting videos just does one or two, there would be a lot of learning value to watching a trainer or a couple of trainers do this very basic thing with a different horse every week. This is what youtube is missing and what you guys need to be consistenly putting on netflix.. none of that super contrived "cowboy challenge" nonsense.. you should have just said, "hey we are going over to craigs to play some cowboy games we came up with.. but I digress.. this show was freakin awesome!!!

I’m an old colt man from Montana. I’m getting pretty long in the tooth now, but used to start a lot of pretty tough colts . This is pretty much how I would have treated that colt after watching his body language. Good job and good video. Would love to meet you both.

Disengaging the hind quarter has a lot more to do with how they step their hind and then wear in my opinion. I’d like to see the inside foot reach through and step in front of the outside foot. This horse did pretty well on his right, but on his left, he’s still very braced up. Overall good job still.

The horse Buster was training was he a stud? if so or if he wasn't was he not afraid of that horse biting him? I mean, i don't know much about horses at all i've just heard horses biting the piss out of ya. But watching him work that horse was pretty dang cool. Would love how to train and work horses like that but i'm sure thats years and years of working and learning horses.
what would be hilarious is a skit of this process but in reverse where the horse is taking to the camera as to what he's doing to Mr. Frierson

My beef cattle are the same way. I try to keep a few old cows that I can dance around they protect me from the bull and other cows. But I start with the respect when they are young. One or two heifers a year.

@@judychristensen5689 exactley!! , respect is fine but not what he is doing, everyone is watching videos and reading books on how to train a horse, and using fancy words , and only worked with horses a few years and now they are horse trainers
The man just sold a horse for $80k. I believe I’ll go with his way of training horses Fervalley Beekeeping. I appreciate the opinion tho.
