This is the best and simplest explanation of server meshing I've ever heard thus far. I've watched the CIG video explaining it and many other youtubers attempting to as well. This video is very very underrated. Bravo good sir 👏

I am a 2012 backer and so much time has passed, that I care very little of the game itself, but this technology is incredible.
Speaking as a gamedev myself, yes it will change the industry. Not immediately of course, but it will, where I work, we have already been talking about it and looking into the possibility :)

Yeah the technology is outstanding in my eyes. Haven't played a game with quite so much.

I get that as sometimes they can be a little deceiving sometimes, but it seems that a lot of the work they are currently doing is progressing quite nicely for server meshing .

Nice video but you haven't really explain enough what happened currently when a second (... and then a 100th) player enter : difference between server loading and client loading and thus why our servers are always slow now. Like at 4:45 if a new client enter close to planet 3 then nothing changes on your client but the server HAS to load planet 3 too. and SO basically, as of now, the server is always loading the whole world all the time. Simulating everything in Stanton. All. The. Time.
WIthout it I feel like it's hard to carry why server meshing is so important

      Thanks for the comment.
paragraph 3 or the one that i said at 4:50 explains this the best. at:
4:18 I said "Object containers as well as groups that are inside your bubble in the server will stream it's content and then be replicated or loaded on your client" When you watch the video all the way through you would understand that when I said stream, I mean streamed to the server.
I also talk about how 4:29 "entities and object containers that leave the streaming bubble will become unbound to the player bubble and then they will be removed from your client/Game" I guess I don't say directly that they are removed from the server but the images show this in the background and I assumed most people would get that point.
4:50 - " if an entity or object container has no players bubble needing to be streamed then it will go back to the state of just being unused and stored in local memory" This basically Says that it is only unstreamed from the server when there are no players needing it to be streamed, if that makes sense.
Idk though could be hearing things wrong tbf

I get that and I watched the video through and through. To be fair it's one of the best I've seen on subject to explain server meshing in simple terms. But I still think you missed the point I point out in my comment. It's kinda hard to explain via chat sometimes, especially since it's not my native language.
I think you explain server meshing well but you haven't explain well what is currently happening on the DGS we have now and thus why server meshing is so important for us player. And that's not bad, it's just a miss opportunity to point out something everybody seems to miss.
I'd be happy to discuss that further with you but we need a vocal for that :P@@Duffer529

Another way to say it (mabey easier) is that you skip over what they explain in the original video at 4:40 czcams.com/video/TSzUWl4r2rU/video.html
You did a great job once again. I just think this point is of tremandous importance to get a good understanding of what server meshing is supposed to address@@Duffer529

@daganael sorry for wait on response I didn't get notification for you for some reason but yeah I do understand what you are saying now.
Idk why but I thought I said that but I think it was because even after I published the video, I carried on watching the official ones and all them so I understood it even more after it was done.
So I think I have been thinking I said things in the video when I only just learnt about them after it was published. So that must be where that's gone too, I think I accidentally did this when responding to another person also so yh lol.
Ye could have been a good point to make and added further information about how it all works.
But anyways I do thank you for watching the video :)

They haven't confirmed when it's going to come out but they did say something about it being before 2024. Who knows though with them but it does look promising so far
