What a line!!
Episode 5 is just to show how "out of their league" the Straw Hats are. But the last three episodes are an emotional roller coaster that makes this shows perfect.

That offscreen scream, when Mihawk cuts down Don Krieg, is one of the screams that was used in the old game "C&C Red Alert". The flashbacks I get to my childhood when I watch that scene is incredible
Mihawk is based on the Spanish conquistadors you can see this in the music clothing and hat he wears plus the cross necklace knife conquistadors were really religious people also the way Mihawk talk conquistadors were really cocky also Mihawk is raw powerful no fruit devil power. In the world of one piece you can be super powerful without devil fruit power.

The grandpa reveal is 1 of the biggest differences between LA and manga/anime
To give you the context without spoilers, this season of LA cover episode 1-44 of anime or chapter 1-95 of manga but the grandpa reveal was happened 300 episodes later.

@@KennyandLindsayWatch I heard that it's LA team's decision bc they need something chasing Straw hat crew to have some tension drive the plot forward for LA bc in the manga/anime, there's no marine try to chase some no name pirate with no bounty in the east blue. It's more like Luffy adventuring around the sea. discovering strange island and gathering the crew before going to grand line.

Scariest thing about Mihawk here is that this little display of his ain’t even a fraction of his power ow what he’s capable of. It’s simply a glimpse of how far the straw hats have to go if they’re gonna be able to compete with the more powerful enemies in the future.

'Eat at Baratie' is personal fave live action episode but...6, 7, 8 are straight fire too. There's not rly much we can say without spoilers in term of long term story. This is just a prologue and we are still learning things even this week in the current story, 1100 chapters in. This is only about chapter 50 of the manga with some changes.

Believe it or not Garp is pretty strong. Not sure on a Mihawk level because of age, but do remember he took down Gold Roger from the start. The part you missed here was Helm-hair explaining how there are some insanely powerful pirates and the marines made a pact with them to avoid a full war. So the marines look the other way, and those pirates serve as a kind of mercenary. That is why Mihawks bounty is canceled, but lets just say when it wasn't well.. it was up there.

One Piece touches all genres and emotions, from lighthearted and crazy to somber, morose and absolutely infuriating. I know of not a single story that can say 'yes' to all the 'does it have ?' questions, and if it wasn't for One Piece's author intentionally avoiding romance as a theme (he prefers the romance of adventure and friendship, hence the first episode being called Romance Dawn!), One Piece would be the story to break that impossibility, and its inclusivity didn't even go bad in the process!
You can think of pretty much anything under the sun, and fans will be able to give you at least one example of it playing a considerable role in the story. It is just that huge of a world. I hope you will enjoy your exploration of this series, regardless of the medium, because it is a story that has immense highs and crazy lows.

I want you guys to watch anime but the anime/manga is more lighthearted and colourful than the LA so idk if you will like that. Ofc it will get dark and serious when the moment calls for it but its mostly a lighthearted and hopeful journey with doses of every ugly and disgusting crime you can think of in human history.

Been waiting for this, next ep reaction will be flooding with tears for sure .. but before that aside from luffy having the devil fruit as a power he also became stronger because of Garps training methods, in anime almost everyday Garp train luffy to be a marin but luffy really wants to be a pirate.. and yes hope you can also watch the anime so you can really understand everything in detail, coz the live action is like the summary of every episodes in anime/manga with a twist and only the back story can give you the info why the characters are like this and that 😊 thank you so much again, we'll wait for the next ep RV 🥰

Honestly, I thought they were pretty restrained with the blood for Zoro's injury considering the fuss everyone's making about it. As I remember, he was lying in a literal pool of blood in the manga... Though I suppose that's a bit harder to justify in a live action show.
On the topic of Usopp, I'm actually not a _huge_ fan of how that "battle" with the marines went for him. In the manga/anime, sniping is his thing, and he is in fact proficient with a cannon from the start.
Yeah I imagine netflix probably had to tone it down, and ahhh man I want to see master sniper Usopp!!
The fact that hes the one who taught the crew how to man the cannon and then LA change that is insane.

Okay, this show is AMAZING even if you don't like Westerns you need to see this show! You WILL be hooked from the first minute to binge watch all of 1883 to find out what happens with Elsa! It starts with one season of 1883 then it goes to the same family in the show 1923, then it has 5 seasons in present day called Yellowstone... I CANNOT believe that MTV did this show! Tom Hanks, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Sam Elliot, Harrison Ford, Kevin Costner... I can't believe the lineup of talent! This is the BEST Western saga ever!
This is the worst series in the world, it has no connection at all, and it lacks a lot of important details that they never used. As for the real One Piece, the anime One Piece is just the best, nothing else, and the talk is over.
