Thank you Peter for letting Kai stay until he can find his footing. Even though an 18 year old is considered an adult, it’s really not easy for him to just be out there on his own with no help or guidance. Once again thank you Peter for your support for Kai.

Would I be right in mentioning that Anthony has held much of the space for Kai to thrive and develop. They are both incredible young men but I would like to commend Anthony for his maturity and understanding in sharing his own space with his father. Especially after enduring his own foster care story and journey. Well done Kai. We know it hasn’t exactly been easy and YOU deserve the best, which is Peter, Anthony and family. ❤️❤️ with love from 🇦🇺 Australia.
Anthony was the one who opened his heart and told his father that they should bring a teen into their home from foster care and that’s how Kai came into their lives. I don’t think any of them would want to go back and change anything because this is their family now. I wonder how the little kids may factor into this family from now and into the future?
Here in the UK the fostering system ceased at 16 - imagine that ; then they had what was called the 'Staying put' which went to 18. My lad is now 19 and off to University later this year. This will always be his home as long as he wants it. Hopefully Kai will know the same thing about your home and family, Peter.
I hope so too. I hope he doesn't feel like he has to leave home until he's ready. Thank you Peter for saying that's his permanent home. He feels he belongs hence the "Now I am known" because he is known.

I hope he stays too. He should know that many people don't really become independent until they graduate from college. After the 2008 financial crisis and the economic problems that accompanied covid, many millenials and others, have actually found themselves moving back home as they try to get back on their feet.

It is so amazing how peter excepts them for who they are, and embrace their differences. I can feel the love through the screen, Peter is truly a blessing to this world.
Kai or Zay looks to have grown up, fleshed out a bit and seems to be very well balanced. Good for him. He looks so happy and joyful.
That's what happens when these kids get placed in a great home with people who truly love them and care about them....and now that he's 18 his forever home struggles are over, he knows it, and he knows he's loved and cared about...stress alone will do horrible things to a child regardless of their age, but more so for the older kids, and the older they get and longer they're in the foster system bounced from house to house the harder it is for them.
I hope Peter can adopt the younger 2 kids too, that would be a great permanent addition for them as well.
He is such a sweet young man. I pray he has adults around him to help him make the right choices in life.

I don't mean to sound ignorant, but what's an "adult" adoption? I thought Peter had already adopted him🤷🏽? Or is adopting & "adult" adopting two different things🤔?😳
@@drekafine8831 he's been fostering him.. but he still has the option of adopting him.. He has aged out of the foster care system...but Peter opened up his heart and his home for him to stay as long as he wants to... He said he's still in school... This man is a huge blessing to all the kids..and babies..

I hope you will still consider adoption so that you are his legal next of kin (should anything happen to him, lord forbid). If not, I hope you immediately fill out medical power of attorney paperwork so that you (or whomever else he chooses) is able to make medical decision for him if he were unable to do that himself. What a huge difference from the first video with Kai on his 18th birthday. At that age, boys can be very problematic, especially those who have been through so much like Kai. Peter you are great! I wish Kai all the best on his birthday, may his wishes and dreams come true in life. I wish him that the mental wounds heal and that he still gets a lot of love in life.

I’m actually glad to hear the social workers are calling to check up on foster kids. You always hear about social workers being so overloaded with cases that they can’t keep up and sometimes kids in bad situations fall through the cracks. They are beaten, starved, drugged, left alone, and sometimes killed. While I know Zay is relieved to finally be free, let us give thanks to the social workers who are actually doing their job. Some kids aren’t as lucky. Hope you enjoyed your special day.

He never said he adopted him
He's aged out of foster care. Peter is letting him stay at his home although technically Kai isn't a foster or adopted child. Kai is an adult that has found a family although there's no legal obligation on Peter's end. It's beautiful that Peter will be there to help Kai navigate adulthood.
I would love for more people to know about Peter and for this channel to blow up so he can reach more people and receive the funding to continue doing GOD'S WORK!! LOVE YOU PETER!!!

aw we aged out at 16 here(uk) it was a scary time n many of my peers didnt make it to adulthood.... im 50 yrs old n out of the 67 kids in my unit as a child only 8 of us are still alive now...... after care has always been lacking...thank goodness the world is different for kai, what a lovely young man. happy birthday! x

I loved watching him so quickly evolve from sort of quiet to his natural talkative self. He has a great personality and happy it was brought out while living with you, Peter
My sister's boss heads a charity organisation funded by sponsors from US ,but the way he shouts, treats the kids and his staff is really hurting. The good hearted people send money to help these vulnerable kids but he diverts funds for his own things and then he tells the kids that the sponsors no longer send enough money. Sometimes my sister and i have to step in and help some kids where we can. This involves temporary shelter, school support and psychological support. I wish he could follow you Peter atleast and learn from you , but he just doesn't care. He just wants to be known that he helps the poor as he reminds them of how poor and nothing they are.

My foster mom still kept me when I turned 18 she wanted to adopt me.y biological parents wouldn't sign their rights away. My foster dad who I consider my real dad passed away in 2001 my foster mom who i consider real passed away in 2016 and her second husband my foster dad past away 2021.
