- Happy 17th BIRTHDAY Anthony! 🎊🎂🥳. Who could’ve known when this boy came into my home for a 48-hour respite are stay, he had just found his forever family? Well, Anthony knew apparently!
Happy birthday to the boy who has kept me on my toes from day 1️⃣ the first thing he asked me when I brought him inside our home was, “Can I call you Dad?” and as stunned as I was- Anthony, I’ll forever be grateful I said NO at first but later said YES! 😝
Of course, Anthony never left, and he and I will be family forever 🙏🏾 six years has flown by so fast, I can hardly believe it! Im so honored to be Anthony’s dad and celebrate all his future birthdays together 💙

How I "do it" is by forward planning. I'm a huge planner and organizer. I have a box of birthday decorations and gift wrap, and others for Christmas, Halloween, Valentine's and so on... This way, there's no last minute rush to the store. I shop throughout the year for gifts. If I see something on sale, or even if it's something I know someone will love, I buy it there and then! I do the same with school supplies. All the little essentials are in a tub. The kids can easily go to the cupboard and take what they need. I hope this helps.

I grew up in a home where dreams were never acknowledged and oppressive authority caused dreams to die. My children are grown, but I carefully watch for the benefit of future grandchildren I may have.
