I love watching you and the kids, Peter. I told my best friend about you. I was a foster parent years ago and her eldest sister was a foster parent of two boys at one time too. My one teen aged foster daughter was PLENTY enough for me. When she finally moved out she went back to her mom, she got a college education, then she got married. She's almost 50 now. She's a lovely woman and a great mom. We still have the best relationship. I'm glad I was her foster parent. You're a great example for people to see that it can be done. Love from Boston. 🙋🏽♀️🌺

We are very lucky here to get people from all over the world coming to holiday/ live as we are so far away from a lot of countries that it's not unusual for kiwis to have never left the country except to Australia. I'm lucky to have been to Europe and America but still only the tourist parts and it's not until you live amongst the people that you really get to see how others live. So much goes on when you take a child shopping. You show the child that you love them. You show the child that they are worthy of your time. You learn about the child in ways that you might not when they are just left at the home. The child might offer more information about how they were when they were with mom and dad. They might say my parents never took me out of the house. I’ve never been in a grocery store. I’ve never had the opportunity to choose what I wanted. They might say papa I don’t know what these foods are. I don’t know how to choose. It’s nice to see you take the boys that are new to your home along with the two children that have been there a while. That is therapy for them. They can see how things work in this family they can see that you are truly a father. There is much more going on here than what we initially see. You are teaching these kids how to be a family. The good and some of the bad because you gave those rules and I think sometimes the kids break them. But in the end you always show your love for them in whatever you are doing with them God bless.

I always took my kids shopping with me. It was an educational experience because they learned about sales, budgeting, etc. Also, being included in making choices made them feel important.

I love the way you think and some of it is probably because of the way you lived as a child. Children can see food and know they can have it anytime they want it. Beautifully done. Some foster homes lock everything so the kids can only have it if they give it to them. God bless you. You could be living it up. But you love kids and it shows!❤ ❤
Your approach towards food and kids is absolutely perfect and the right way to do it. Kids should eat and sadly you have some parents locking up food and forbidding this or that, it caused eating disorders.
The food lessons are so important so they know they will never be hungry. We had a food hoarder and it was heartbreaking seeing her fears that there wouldn't be enough food.
Better get those costumes; they will be gone next time! Keep receipt in case they change their mind about what they want to be. Street tacos back by the roasted chickens are sooo good. Spicy salsa.
I think Anthony eats about $400 a week😂 Anthony wants way too expensive things , boy he’s getting so tall , he’s such a sweet big brother too😍 Bella is so cute , I love to hear her call you daddy 🥰 your new boys seem like they fit right in with the family really fast. Even before you parked the car, I felt like $800 is going to disappear in one trip. Meanwhile it's hard to shop with all the kids present excitedly bouncing around asking for every which thing and yet you do it with miraculous patience. God bless you buddy, you're an Angel for your kids. Also, Anthony's little Dad face had me laughing "When I have kids, you're coming shopping with me"😂 P.s You should invest in a chicken coup, get yourself 5 to 10 chickens and they will reward you with a tonne of eggs. Good protein for growing bodies and the kids will love the novelty and it's a chance for them to learn responsibility.

There is a youtube channel called "Our Tribe of Many" she has 11 children from 19 to 1 yrs old. She has a lot of great tips on stalking a pantry, so you are never without.

I think Peter is an incredible man because I've fostered children and parenting can be hard however he takes the time to explain things to the kids and his subscribers with a lot of patience, experience and knowledge. I used to think that I'd get married to a like minded man and in some way foster, have a safe drop in centre for all kids etc. Unfortunately for a few reasons this didnt happen so I became a teacher and foster Mum which gave me many opportunities to support my kids (my students) and their family unit. My classroom door was always open, the class pantry was always stocked and when needed social services were called in to help some struggling families. Sorry I went off topic a bit, that normally happens when i talk about something I'm passionate about. Can you imagine how amazing the world would be if every child was loved by many, they always had a meal and needs met but most importantly if every child felt the love that Peter gives to his kids even though his childhood was t the best he was blessed by one man and is passing that on to his kids and his subscribers. He is educating current and future foster parents without most people realising as he is humble, calm and a supporter of kids having rights. We need more people like Peter. That was rude. Obviously you have not seen that he has had black children. He takes whatever kids they ask him to take. More white kids than black are in foster care where he lives. If he waited for JUST black kids he’d have an empty house a lot of the time and other kids wouldn’t get a chance at a great life with him. That wouldn’t be fair to the kids who need a home.

Baking soda can be used for almost everything. I use in for laundry, baking, drain clogs, dishes and probably a few others I've missed.
Hi Peter, you can pour baking soda down the sink to unclog it, clean a washing machine, etc. Very very useful.
