I am glad to have found this channel, very pleasant work.
That is worthy of being a piece of furniture in a home, just beautiful.
When it comes to "gluing" wood today; there is NO need to use copious amounts of glue. Yes, in olden days when they used mostly animal glue, the glue would dry out over time. But not today. You would be amazed how glue holds today, using only a small amount. Try it and put in a vise and use a hammer to break the pieces apart. The seam holds like bolted together; yet the wood is opened up all over the grains, but not at that seam. Oh indeed. Try it.

I was really disappointed you didn't draw board your legs in then I saw you didn't use glue, it was beautiful, it brought tears too my eyes. Good job, educational and entertaining thank you. I'm looking forward to more videos.

I built this bench without using any plans or drawings! Only my measuring tape.
I should think of that in future for sure.
I love to join wood with wood naturally without glue or screws but this is not always easy.
I have built a tool cabinet without using any glue if you wish to watch on my channel.

@@TheWoodCrafter1 Just wanted to say thankyou, I watched your videos yesterday relating to the bench and I noticed that within glue-up of the two laminated tops you cleverly used jowels to stop the lengths from slipping when glueing, a problem i had before, i used your technique today while out in my shop and it worked a treat, i still will have to surface plane but your clever tip helped me alot, thankyou again mate,regards Louie
@@louiesworkshop2023 nice, good to know that, yes you are right big laminate is not easy to glue without movement, dowels help you better control that and making surfacing much easier after the glue dries. You can later build a router sled to help you get flat top and bottom if you wish, or use a jointer plane if you like to exercise 😊. Happy to help!
@@TheWoodCrafter1 I am blessed to have a great planer thicknesser and she can handle wide boards so it will be the surface jointer on it heavy though that is, anyways pal looking forward to seeing your next video.

Very enjoyable videos! Your craftsmanship in both woodworking and in videography is top drawer. I understand the need for a small bench if you have to work in a small shop. My current bench is only 5 feet in length (~150 cm) and 2 feet wide ((~60 cm), and it is quite large enough for big projects. When I move into a larger shop next year, I may build a longer Roubo, but who knows? I really like your deadman design, btw.
