I have an older garage door opener by Sears. It doesn't have the sensor stopping the door should something be blocking it.
Is it mandatory I have the sensor for this to work? If so can you recommend another unit that will work.
Unfortunately what your describing is a door opener that’s not compatible for this
I wish they would have multi user accounts. That way the main account could let user sign in without adjusting anything. Now it’s just the same account signed in on all devices.
I love the idea of controlling my garage door (already enabled with MyQ) from my phone, but YIKES! that sound warning/beeping sound that comes from the hub is a deal-breaker for me (and for my neighbors as well, I bet!)! Is there any way to disable that?!
open the device, find the speaker, and disable it.

I've seen some small communities, but it's strange to imagine that your local garbage collector would call you personally to ask about garbage retrieval. They're pretty busy guys, and it all falls on you. Can you imagine stopping these guys in the middle of their job to explain to them to call you so you can open your garage so they can take your trash out? It just seems like an uncomfortable conversation.
imagine someone pretending to be the sub for the regular garbage man and ask him to open the door. He comes home and the house is empty.
I have had trouble signing into my Q account and cannot make any changes. My old android phone when out and was replaced, but now I can't get into my Q account for some reason. Chamberlain tech support couldn't help me other than try to send temporary passwords, which still wouldn't allow me to sign in. So I am having to trash this piece of junk and will get something that will work with my Smart Things hub, which MyQ won't do.
i wonder how many people really forget to close their garage door and drive away??? And if you did and had to drive back, why get out of the car to go push the button to close it, don't you have a remote in your car?
Dang my trash collector never calls me to open the garage door to get my trash. You must live in a make believe neighborhood. Do you also give your cell # to your trash guy?
