Great story. A different one compared to other writers. The author pointed out the many positive things of humans. It also pointed out how protective we can be and our willingness to sacrifice all for another. Looking forward to another chapter.

Look up "Adopted by humans" it's the same story and has way more. I believe the channel that has it listed as that is HyFy or Syfy stories and last time i listened to a couple chapters it was in the mid-high 20s. Each episode uploaded is about 3 chapters long on the channel.

I am flabbergasted. This is an amazingly written story. I don't know why Hollywood keep churning the same tedious stories when stories like this exists. So f*cking tired of Star Wars, Marvel and Star Trek, all the same tired sh*t. Two people should have an argument twice, once sober and then drunk. Both agree only when the argument makes sense in both states. What wonderful lines.

Very entertaining to say the least. Reminds me of the hours I spent reading all those Sci-Fi short story paperbacks back in the day. I always found something mindful, disturbing, and even thoughtful in those books. Many stories would leave you hanging like this one did. But, there was never a dull moment while reading.

Sound doesn't travel in the void of space so the music should actually a jamming system used to interfere with enemy communications. Trying to understand anything over the sound of death metal is nearly impossible.

The ai narraration is spotty, inconsistent, off intonation, and frustrating. Especially for a good story.
These authors would get better reception for their bodies of work if they had friends narrate them who have good strong speaking voices.

Feels strange that all of humanity suddenly is androgynous and somehow not removing themselves from the genepool on mass. Maybe they don't touch up on that in class due to how sensitive humans must be about it.
This story reminds me of the russians that have beers with bears.
And the Swiss brought one into battle, just for him to carry ammo boxes for his fellow soldiers.
He retired to a zoo and was visited by his whole regiment to share beers and hugs, until his passing of natural causes.

This was a good story and I enjoyed what there was of it. But it seems unfinished to me. It breaks off just as the alien visitors get to Earth. There is no indication that this would be a multi chapter story or that there will be a part two. As it is it just seems unfinished, which is very unsatisfying.

I'm immensely enjoying these stories. For all the carnage associated with space battles, they ultimately show various positive attributes of humanity. That aspect is sorely missing from all of our CCP controlled media sources, especially Hollywood and Disney.

*Please* have some God damned variety and use different voices, even if you just want guys narrating, there have to be hundreds to choose from around somewhere! My phone alone can do 8 British accents, then the American ones, Australian, South African, Indian... although maybe not as fancy as these videos are using some different software, but it's literally the exact same guy's voice on different channels. It just makes all the stories seem like they're all going to be identical and low quality, just not worth the time to listen to because it's a 'crappy one suggested by CZcams'.

LOts of "ideology" built into this - to an extent that it gets boring - for example - there is no such things as a "gender spectrum" - genders are "what they are" and don;t transition across any "region" . Confusing gender with "sex" doesn't help either as none of it makes sense... just stop it. There is no need to put ideology into stories as it is not only detracting, unhelpful but also misleading. Especially when the story itself (and I have listened to later adaptions, is pretty darn good without the woke bs.
First, it is NOT ideology, twit. Second, GENDER IS a spectrum. Third, this has NOTHING to do with being "woke", stupid.
