      Sadly, aside from counting, there are many ways to 'cheat' in cards; I think this is really a part of the game. As the commentator said, it is the responsibility of the card holder to hide his or her hand. Other than holding or hiding cards, spying on cards is an option. But doing it blatantly rather than working on skill is a weak game. I am sure Skillsrock wouldn't do so well going off of his cards alone. But just the same, I wouldn't want him sitting next to me in a game either.

Getting relaxed, putting your hood up and putting your opponents in your blind spot with sunglasses was silly. He put himself in a disadvantage by not watching his opponents as well. He spent too much time focusing on things he wanted to instead of watching the table and the action.

If you're peaking your cards openly enough where your opponent sitting beside you simply has to move their eyes toward your cards to cheat, you're doing it wrong. • @titusfortunus2916
    @titusfortunus2916 Před 8 měsíci +3

    Nah, the idea of "you should protect your cards so it's your fault" is just crazy to me. That means "it's totally not against the rules for me to run around the table as each person gets dealt their hand and try to peek every single person's hand and lean over next to them, as long as I don't touch them or mess with them. It's just their responsibility to hide it from me!" The dude moved his glasses to get a better view, leaned over to peek at his cards, and then swiped thousands of dollars off it. 1: moved property, 2: invaded space, 3: acted dishonestly outside of gentleman's play. If that's "not against the rules" you aren't playing a game, you're getting scammed by being fair. At that point just bring a gun to every poker game and say "well I'm not shooting you, nor am I saying I am! I'm just POINTING IT AT YOU AND TELLING YOU TO FOLD."
    If there's no honor among thieves, then there is no clan, no rules, no game. Barry DID attempt to hide his cards to some degree. You can see him hover hand his cards. Just not enough to stop the parasite inside of his skin from seeing them.

    While it's true it's not exactly against any rules/laws to peek an opponent's cards but considered unethical. Found this: However, poker is a game where you try to outsmart your opponents. If you’ve warned a player a few times that you can see their cards and nothing changes, you can continue playing. After all, you can’t keep folding for an entire game to accommodate one player. But however often you feel you should warn a player (or fold as a result of seeing their cards) is up to your discretion. It is considered poor poker etiquette to continue playing and exploit their mistake without first notifying them or giving them a chance. The guy got caught being a sleazeball. Now everyone knows not to play with him. That's part of the game as well.

      What you have to remember though, is that this is a live stream, and so the casino is not so much interested in good behavior as they are in getting viewers to stay tuned. Because of this, far from keeping the table polite and orderly, the producers actively encourage outrageous displays of temper. This is why Hellmuth gets a pass to threaten to burn a casino to the ground, because they know that shit goes viral and they can cash in with the extra exposure.

      I was thinking the same thing...even letting him look through the deck after a hand is outrageous.
      For one thing, he could be looking at what other players had to get a clue about how they play.
      No one should be allowed to touch any cards except their own, while they are playing those cards, and not after or any other time.

Dude punted his homie 67yds and he still didn't get the message. In that regard, I don't know that Antonio was aware ahead of time what he was doing and therefore can't say collusion. He was trying to collude but it seems Antonio just got kicked instead. The way he threw his cards down like he had a straight flush tho 🤣 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

    Barry seemed aware of this and took many measures to hide his hole cards. It looks like he peeked a lot, but I don’t think it’s possible to see Barry’s cards very often. But of course just a couple times a night is a very big difference, especially with no limit.

    The commentators definitely saw him peaking those cards. why they didn't say anything just shows they aren't to talk about any form of cheating at this game probably because there is plenty mike pestle shenanigans going on. The only reason they talked about the leg kick is prob because Barry brought it up first. Now I don't think seeing cards in plain view is cheating but if you have to sneakily lean far out of your way to get a peak at somone else's cards than that is for sure 100% cheating.

    There’s a simple lesson to be learned here: protect your hole cards, period. I struggle to find any sympathy for a player who doesn’t protect their hole cards. Scummy players WILL try anything to get an advantage. This includes peeking your hole cards, under table tells, code words to other players, etc. The list is endless. Protect your hand and immediately notify management if you witness something like this at your table. Keep stackin’!!

    Everything about this was horrible, him looking at the opponent cards unfortunately its not illegal. But to act like if he bluff him without cheating deserves a slap every time he got up and threw the chips. Now him telling his buddy, I don't know how no one in charged looked into that. No one should ever get on this again if a player is allowed to reach over a grab cards away from dealer and walk away with them

    • @z17seattle
      @z17seattle Před 2 lety +1

      Even though its not ILLEGAL YET, Spying cards cheats the other 7 players. Its like noticing the shuffler is marking cards and using that advantage without telling anyone. Knowing 2 dead cards every hand provides you with a HUGE advantage, especially on flush boards when you know the nuts are in the muck and nobody else does. There is no skill in peeking, it just gives you a secret unfair advantage. It attracts bad karma and makes you dislike yourself for doing it.

    Naw that cheater was moving Barry's stuff to peek. That's not just catching an unguarded hand, that's straight up looking for it. Even worse when he tried to tip off his buddy.
    Both of them should've been tossed right then and there. Their stacks are then split evenly with remaining players at the table.

    I’m sorry but this isn’t cheating some people can see it as not honorable and not honest but poker is a game. And part of the game is making sure your hand is hidden. This is similar to a pitcher tipping his pitches. It’s on the player to make sure his whole cards are secured, not his opponent. He is literally just peeking to his left.
