Hi mate, just installed this but the horn is now stiff and barely works, I think my issue is the connector stoping the horn from engaging so Im going to have to try and move it, did you have this issue?
@@NarBrosGarage Yes i have them. I used pin 2 but when i have some problem, the leds and display turns on and turns off leds frequently, for example when i turn the steering wheel in the in the narrow cruve. What pin number do you used?
I bought it from a fellow dubbed that sold it to me for 800 if I recall. He payed 1200 I think but no one had done one before so I was a test mule lol 😂 but I got it to work.

I would deff hit up the company that sold you the wheel see if your sold you a multi function. Some of these are different.
Do you need to remove airbag to remove the GTI emblem insert on the bottom of the wheel?
No just pull on it hard towards you. But there is a small hole left behind.

If you do all the clocks spring and everything you can even do the mk7 one which is cheaper and it’s starting to grow on me.

Try to move it out of the way of the springs

Any of the steering wheel control cables. But if you don’t have them. The the horn.

Could be one of two things bad ground or bad connection. Double check both.
I just checked which one gave me 12v constant. Your best be might be the horn

Just make sure with a volt meter that’s it’s not a constant power. And only gives you a reading with the key in the on position
That's the only one with 12v and 0 without key but some how the battery died and that's a new battery,
Test that your alternator is not going bad. Or for a drain of power at the fuse box
Also I noticed when the car is complete shut off the led lights up when I open the door

Find which cable brings power to the airbag. That’s the one you need to use.

Check voltage with the bolt meter. One of the cables should be a 5v source.
