Kobe had amazing regular season scoring days (mixed in with some really off ones) but Lebron has more 30 point games, 40 point games and 50 point games in the playoffs where it matters most. Lebron also reached 20k and 30k points and 6000k assists faster then Kobe. What people forget is almost all of Kobe's big scoring games happened in the regular season. Same with all his clutch plays. For once I agree with Shaq on something. People keep saying Shaq carried Kobe. Shaq was a very dominant player but to say he carried him isn't exactly accurate. Kobe went on to be one of the greatest players of all-time. Ur talking about skills I was just trying to point out the "physical gifts" that MJ and more so LeBron were blessed with Kobe wasn't. Kobe and Jordan played the same kind of game but Jordan had broader shoulders and was just more naturally big than Kobe, leading to him being able to take more punishment and have less consequences throughout his career. In terms of gifts on the basketball court aka skills, ofc their mindset is what sets them apart from literally everyone EVER and they both worked ridiculously hard to get as good as they were. I kinda feel like the NBA, specifically David Stern kinda ruined the backend of Kobes career. Voiding that trade had many consequences in my opinion. The personalities really did not fit on that team, and Nash was too old to really be a factor or a definitive voice as a leader in the locker room. Cp3 replacing Nash gives the Lakers a much better player and leader at the time, allowing him to better manage the large personalities that existed, including his own. Kobe was basically doing what James harden is this season, which was carrying his team every single night, except he was older and the team wasn't as unified therefore wasnt really as good. Had he been able to relax a bit more and not put in 150% every night just for a win he probably would've played at a high level for the next 4-5 years at least, (just think about what he did after coming back from the injury), after all that I think they had the possibility of winning at least 2 or 3 more championships in that span b4 he retired, maybe an MVP, but that's pushing it, and I really feel he would've went down as the greatest ever if not a very close 1A, 1B battle with Mike

For once I agree with Shaq on something. People keep saying Shaq carried Kobe. Shaq was a very dominant player but to say he carried him isn't exactly accurate. Kobe went on to be one of the greatest players of all-time. I don't put him over Jordan or Lebron but involving him in that conversation does make a lot of sense to me because of his skillset and what he was able to accomplish.
"isn't exactly accurate" is the same thing as saying "yes he was carried" although termed in a disguised sentence. To say then that he was carried is totally false because at the end of the day, without Kobe, Shaq wouldn't have won any of those championships. Case in point... When he was with Orlando he played with Penny Hardaway, Kobe-like player with a better passing game. How many championships did they have? ZERO. So the reality is that neither Kobe nor Shaq carried each other. But rather, each was the missing part to their dynasty.
Now for you say that Kobe isn't greater than Lebron, well that's your fanboy opinion. But whatever criteria you have to try to actualize that argument still can't get over the huge fact that 6 beats 5, 5 beats 3. Winning chips involves a players contribution of course but its a team win. If it was based on championships alone Horry, Russell and Havlicek and a few others would be considered better than Jordan. Ur talking about skills I was just trying to point out the "physical gifts" that MJ and more so LeBron were blessed with Kobe wasn't. I kinda feel like the NBA, specifically David Stern kinda ruined the backend of Kobes career. Voiding that trade had many consequences in my opinion. The personalities really did not fit on that team, and Nash was too old to really be a factor or a definitive voice as a leader in the locker room. Cp3 replacing Nash gives the Lakers a much better player and leader at the time, allowing him to better manage the large personalities that existed, including his own. Kobe was basically doing what James harden is this season, which was carrying his team every single night, except he was older and the team wasn't as unified therefore wasnt really as good. Had he been able to relax a bit more and not put in 150% every night just for a win he probably would've played at a high level for the next 4-5 years at least, (just think about what he did after coming back from the injury), after all that I think they had the possibility of winning at least 2 or 3 more championships in that span b4 he retired, maybe an MVP, but that's pushing it, and I really feel he would've went down as the greatest ever if not a very close 1A, 1B battle with Mike
