Great video! Love the honesty. Costa Rica is beautiful - we loved it theređĽ°
Beautiful images and great info too!
I spend five months a year in Costa Rica, and I find that I'm way more productive working in my apartment than in a co-working space. I guess it depends on whether you're going for a vacation or to be productive.
but there is no community
Excellent information as always. Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Crosby, Iâm considering CR as a destination for my work abroad program. This was so honest and helpful! Especially your feedback about the noise. The amenities sound great, and I like the option of not using the Selina as a full time accommodation. Thank you so much!
Also love your review! It was so honest and true - they didn't tell us about our included breakfast until the last day â
Crazy đ¤Śđźââď¸
great tips, as always! You are really helping me in my plans for my nomadic life, thank you! :)
Aw Iâm so happy to hear that!! Makes my day â¤ď¸ let me know if thereâs anything specific youâd like to see!
@@CrosbyGraceTravels I think information about costs, places to eat, how to get from the airport (the best way), if you need a car or can you do everything on foot. I think that video of yours from Puerto Escondido is quite complete, something along those lines about Costa Rica and other places you go might be cool :)
My biggest fear is feeling very alone, as I will be traveling solo, so tips for meeting people and making friends are also very cool.
@@AnuchaNaderi I gotchu! I have another cost of living one from Manuel Antonio coming in a few weeks :) Iâll make a video soon about making friends too! Thatâs a biggie
And a note, I know these things can be researched, but I love your videos and hearing tips from you will be different, because it's someone I trust, even if I don't know personally :) And sorry meu English haha, I'm brazilian....
@@AnuchaNaderi I totally get that! And your English is perfect â¤ď¸
Way to go digital nomads, you must be making a lot of money to be able to afford working at fancy places like that. I enjoyed the video though. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
This was a HUGE splurge for us! Iâm usually a $15-20/night type of nomad⌠and after this experience, Iâm probably gonna stick to that majority of the time! Im glad you liked the video and thank you for the subscribe! âşď¸
doood yes! Selinas are so expensive and (in my opinion) not the best working environment. the one in Medellin was the same way. Great video. Keep them coming!
YES! Fully agree. I stayed at a Selina in Isla Mujeres and in Playa del Carmen and both had music constantly going and it went until the middle of the night. Felt more like a party hostel that happened to have good wifi rather than a digital nomad hostel that sometimes hosts fun things to do. Would never go back to Selina.
There's definitely a disconnect between advertising themselves to remote workers yet still being a party hostel... not a fan of that! I wonder if there are any Selina's out there that are better for us nomads.
@@CrosbyGraceTravels I stayed at the Selina in Cusco and it was pretty calm in comparison to the ones in Isla Mujeres and Medellin
@@CoreyDrew oh good to know!!
No late nights for CGT!!
Man! They don't want Li there, he'll be turn that party offline real freaking fast and furious! Lol!
So I stayed at a nice amount of Selina's in Costa Rica. Puerto Viejo, La Fortuna, and Manuel Antonio. la fortuna location was hands down my favorite. The staff were amazing, I didn't use the co-working space, they were very good about communcating breakfast which bother the other locations weren't. But the bar shutdown at about 11ish during the week. I met amazing friends from there. I had a friends who been staying somewhere else near by and was very impressed by that location. I can say not all the Selina's are the same. veijo was a mess and Manuel was under a little bit of construction when I was there. But all in all I would go again. Just maybe to some different locations.
I am DYING to go to la fortunaâs Selina!! It looks incredible! Glad to hear you had a good time there đ
Amazing video thanks so much for sharing! I felt so put off by the extra charge for co-working at first BUT I have a theory.. for people who make a living based off of digital nomad living, $12 is a fair price for keeping backpackers (vacationers) off of the fast-speed wi-fi. I know a laggy Zoom call does not look professional in my line of work (executive recruiter)
I didn't know digital nomad visas was a thing in Costa Rica... could you offer specifics on how to do this pls? Am moving with 3 kids.
For 1200 dolares you could stay 1 month in the same room in the same selina if you had bought selina colive peckage (1 month contract) and that what makes the Selina best. (Designed for nomads)
Hi, what do you do? what is your work? what are you doing in your computer? saludos
I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU HAD TO PAY $12 FOR COWORKING SPACE!! đ That's straight up ridiculous. I would be frustrated right along side you! Haha. We've paid to use Selina coworking spaces before but always assumed staying there would include that access. But glad you still enjoyed a beautiful week in Manuel Anotnio despite that!
Guys we were so pissed hahaha so we never paid for it once out of spite đ SUCH a huge turn off!!!
Tamarindo Is The Spot.
The Wagon pizza is really good actually. Costa Rica is not cheap so yes... expect to pay more than what you would at any other country in Latin America.
The pizza was delish! And yes, itâs definitely the NYC of Latin American prices. But $7 for a Gatorade?! Come on đ¤Ł
@@CrosbyGraceTravels depends, at the supermarket probably not so expensive but you are in a highly touristic place.. that's why so expensive
@@charlitocr5209 correct
Based on your complaints in this video, it makes it seem like their co-live program is an amazing deal. It includes free access to the co-working space and even the more expensive options are around $1200 a month. Iâd be curious to hear your thoughts on their Coliving program if you ever try it
Great content, great quality, thank you ! but omg just pay the 12$ to give us the tour. Having a channel with 50K subs and great quality content, I am surprised you would not invest 12$ to provide the viewers with a more complete review. Like we want to see this co-working space ! that is a in part why I liked on your video. That said, your video was still amazing. Thank you.
I just have to say pineapple BELONGS on pizza... your DIY basil was pretty sweet tho
We can agree to disagree⌠𤪠but YES to my diy basil ahaha
Where is Dillion?
he's here too!
I should have watched the video first!đ you both look great!
That is the most expensive "hostel" I have ever seen.
ripoff Selina. 1200 bucks outrageous
LIVE MUSIC AND PARTIES? no thanks! i d prefer to sleep
3peat
Nope no amount of promotion can tempt me into going to Costa Ripoff
you are from the country that capitalism originates and are wondering that a capitalist business is trying to maximaze profits? wake up from your dream girl.
that you are complaining to pay for the infrastructure of a co-working space is a joke. wake up to the real world!
Usually it is free if you stay in the same hostel
