What do you mean hardly heard about?! It's almost as overtouristed as Venice. Easily the most touristy country in all of Central and South America and sadly quite ruined because of it.

Our property in Ecuador is almost ready for you to park at if you are coming after May 22nd as I will be on vacation in Canada from April 16th until that date. There are many free things to do in our area from nature walks, night walks which include the insects that glow in the dark, waterfalls, rivers, the unknown Santuario Católico de la Pasión de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo - El Calvario which has a path of mini churches and more.

If anyone is considering Cost Roca, I urge you to come and research things before moving or even visiting. It is extremely expensive to the point that’s irritating. Especially the costal areas. Restaurants are more expensive than California. Same with groceries. Housing too especially near the beach. The worst part is drug related crimes are also increasing.

How do you know which lakes/rivers are safe to venture in?
It's best to ask the locals and follow their guidance. Some rivers have big populations of crocs. Usually you can find lots of locals at the rivers, swimming, etc. so then you know its safe.
i just got back from CR Caribbean side.. Honestly, it is super expensive everything without delivery a quality. I enjoyed the national parks beaches and of course Tortugerro., nice video!

@@NaickKim I live on the pacific coast so I prefer the caribbean side. Worked well in Mexico (tulum area) but I guess not for Costa Rica..

In 10 days you could probably cover pretty much all of them, two weeks would give you a bit more leeway in terms of weather and relaxing. If you've got one week, I would stay on the pacific side and not go to the Caribbean side.
@@NaickKim Why you choose the pacific side over the caribbean side? I was assuming the beach on the caribbean side will be better.
When are the Panama episodes dropping? I'm going to Valle de Antón tomorrow and would love to hear some tips.
We have video about getting our van from Panama to Colombia coming out in a couple of days. We haven't been able to make a video about traveling in Panama itself, because of the time it took to ship our van.

We didn't have any issues at all. But no place is 100% place, so it's always good to keep your wits about you.

No, not in this area, just some smaller caymans said the guide, but they are harmless.

You should update the channel description and cover. "Driving our campervan from Alaska to Argentina by the end of 2023!" is clearly not true anymore and "Publishing a video every week" has not been true either, more like every 2 weeks or every month.
You are right, we had to change our planning. We updated it to 2024 :)
Unfortunately we can't post as much as we would like anymore, since we have to do a lot of freelance work to pay for the thousands of dollars in repairs and shipping (shipping prices have increased massively since we planned the trip).

I saw shitloads of wildlife in Manuel Antonio but Cahuita and Punta Uva were far better. Best thing in La Fortuna is also the Cerro Chato hike.

That is great news haha. We hope we're able to enter Ecuador as there are a lot of border restricitons right now. Fingers crossed.
They are free is pretty much every country apart from Costa Rica.
Another video in the overrated Costa Rica. 2 videos only in El Salvador (which has so much to offer if you don't stay there only one - two weeks and if you bother to research about what it has to offer beyond Wikipedia), Nicaragua etc. but 5 videos in Costa Rica, typical for CZcamsrs that only focus on overhyped countries. A pity to see this channel going the same predictable direction.
In the last 2 years we have spent 10 weeks in El Salvador and made 8 videos in total on El Salvador, you can always watch those as well :)

Honduras is probably the best country apart from Guatemala south of Mexico but so many tourists skip it altogether let alone get to know locals and find out about the best parts of it.

Did you drive yourselves to Manuel Antonio Park? Did you encounter the parking scammers before the entrance? It's stuff like that that makes me wary 😬
Yes we did. We also saw a lot of reports, but when we arrived, around 7 am there were 0 people trying to get us to park somewhere. In any case, you can just drive by them and go to the parking lot in front of the entrance.
Where did you guys stay?
We have our own campervan, so we slept in our van. I think we included it in our video.
