Best band I've heard in many years. Instantly rocketed into my top 5 of all time (closer to 1 than 5). They could play a cookbook and it'd be amazing. Nemophila absolutely rocks everything they touch.

I love the fact that you have the Golden Girls playing on the TV behind you! Great reaction! Nemophila's cover of a BABYMETAL song is how I came across them, and I have been a big fan ever since. Her screams and cleans are so fucking good and of course the band is amazing. This song really hypes me up!🤘
An overlooked part of this song - the lyrics. This is anti-establishment, anti-press, anti whatever the hell you want, and it’s great we’re back to powerful music having a powerful message for today and being done better than anyone. I loved Nemophila so much I started a Facebook fan page six months ago and they just get better and better and make me love them more and more.

Nemophila is projected to achieve its true potential, topping most of other Japanese bands in a very short time. In addition to their skills in playing instrument and compose brilliant songs, each of the member also has such a beautiful and humble personality. Combination of all those will bring the band to the new height internationally. Nemophila really remind me how much I love heavy metal and trash metal music in the 80s-mid90s, as if I just met my 'old flame' that I left in the 90s without a proper closure.

Nemophila were founded in 2019. There are a supergroup composed of:
Mary's Blood guitarist Saki (second solo)
ex-Lipstick vocalist Mayu
ex-Disqualia guitarist Hazuki (also plays with Lisa-X) (first solo)
ex-Hölderlins bassist Haraguchi-san, and
ex-Soramimi drummer Muratatam (also does other projects)
Other than Saki, none of them had previously been with a breakout band, despite having amazing chops. Getting these five together did the trick-they are just exploding.
Initially, they were just a side project, co-organized by Saki and Mayu. They started off posting metal covers of well-known rock, pop and metal songs. Then they began posting originals, starting with “Oiran” czcams.com/video/eyb2NtPwcxc/video.html which would be a good one to do next. Their originals show a trend toward harder and heavier.

Thank you for reacting to my favorite band! They are pure talent! Their originals are metal and their covers are from pop to rock to metal and they have a blast doing them! Originals to listen to include Oiran and Raitei and Sorai or their ballad Life {emotional as they are singing to the drummer that just had a baby}.
