Yeah the danish national symphony orchestra doesn't fuck around - If they do something, they do it right
I was there in the audience for this concert. Absolutely brilliant performance, as always. God, I miss concerts.
Major, major envy!!
Did you know ? ... The conductor Eímear Noone, is actually best known for her award-winning work as both a conductor and composer of video game music. Noone's composing and conducting work includes 26 film and video game titles, including being the original conductor of Overwatch, Diablo III, Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty, and not least both a composer and the conductor of World of Warcraft and its expansions.
That's badass I love the WoL OST
Pretty impressive for a "noone" - I'll see myself out...
i was in the audience when the played it live, it was an experience i'll never forget
A live orchestral piece is always best performed/recorded in an actual orchestral hall/theatre whose acoustics were designed specifically for that reason alone. The sound is phenomenal. Like you were actually in the game. Thank you.
Isn't it amazing how many people think the music, either in movie score or game just appears, where do thay think it comes from? Peaople say I don't like classical music and yet that same music told it's own story, this is modern day classical music but with pictures. Trust me, I am a Beatles, Rolling Stones kinda guy but this sort of thing brings a whole new level of understanding. I was so jealous of my son, when he told me he was going to The Albert Hall to see the Bethesda band do the whole Fall Out concert lol
Most Americans have a paradoxical relationship with Classical music. It is cool to mock it. It is OK to mock those who like classical music. Everyone thinks it is only a certain type of person who would like classical music. Most even think themselves unfamiliar with classical music.
But the paradox is that we are surrounded by it from childhood. The soundtracks of our cartoons & children's programs are classical. Our blockbuster movies have a classical soundtrack. Now, I learn that gaming systems have classical music soundtracks.
The fact is that most Americans LOVE classical music, but just don't realize it.
I remember when HALO 1 came out and it wasnt digital "beep boop" electronic music. I was blown away. I am happy to see more and more gaming companies using actual orchestral.
It is also interesting to remember that these musicians are also contemporary human beings. Statistically a good chunk of them are probably gamers
@@RaginMunchkin They did a medley where it included the theme's from F-Zero, Sonic, Mario. You could tell they all got so much nostalgia from their childhoods
I remember how big of a deal it was to me, that Jet Force Gemini on N64 used actual orchestral music. Pretty sure it was the first time I'd ever heard that in a game. I listen to the music from Jet Force Gemini as mp3's to this day, lol. Nothing Beats SS Anubis...
Listen to their Blade Runner suite, you won't regret it, It even has the voice actor from the hitman games narrating.
WaWa-Tuva still doing her thing here as well - great seeing the performers across the different shows.
Only God knew where danish went to school for musical ochestra. They so informed with grave yard instrumentals
You gotta watch more of their stuff! They are so amazing!
The sheer joy on your face is infectious, never change.
Found you from your reaction to Gabriel's oboe and the good the bad and the ugly and felt every emotion.
I don't know anything about this game of its music but this was phenominal, fantastic, brilliant.....WOW!!!
Great reaction thank you.
Fun fact: The conductor is also a game music writer so she is totally the right one for conducting game music :)
Really?! Whats her name and what kind of video game music has she written?
@@sguinn91 I know she composed music for WoW. That concert actually ends with her own music.
Danish National Symphony orchestra produces some great music.. this is what I want to hear in HALO while playing
I own the soundtracks to Halo 1-3 and listen to them regularly. I get chills and tear up every time I watch the DNSO play. Watchdog Zero One reporting: Ready to finish the fight.
(6:00) to (6:17) That's a looooooooooooooooong time for the orchestra and choir to hold that last note! Amazing! Thanks for sharing this!
Glad you found your way to that catalogue!
A pleasure listening to your reaction. There is a pleasant authenticity to your manner. Stay well.
Thank you very much!
never tire of listening to them. thanks
Absolutely incredible
EPIC !!! Fantastic track and interpretation as always with this orchestra, highly talented.
Thank you so much for this great react. Just bought the bluray of the show. 😃
we never lost classical music it just evolved into first movie music ( orchestra music is what i mean by classical) then on to video games! it's as beautiful as ever
I grew up with halo from the age of 5, for the most part I hate modern music as the lyrics are fairly vulgar in today's trending songs. Orchastral music is simply superior in almost every way. That being said I do enjoy music if its objectively good, but I always fall back to soundtracks from movies, games and the such as they just have the most soul in them and they tell such incredible stories.
They all on this set are just outstanding 👍🇩🇰
New sub here , Nice reaction 😊ya they are awesome
They will have a new concert this summer, playing John Williams scores ie, theme from Star Wars and imperial March
they did a few concerts like that movie themes everything from this to theme from avatar n Pirates of the Caribbean star wars etc etc etc
Most video themes and movie themes, like Star Wars are actually written by composers for symphony orchestra production.
Thanks for listening to my suggestion!!
Did you notice that the single vokal was the same singer as the waw waw in the good the bad and the ugly ( Tuva Semingsen)
It's amazing ;)
Did you notice that the female solo singer was the wa wa lady from The Good, The Bad and The Ugly that you recently watched?
i did!
Affectionately now known as "the wah wah lady" :)
@@donl5814 I didn't know what else to call her lol
@@donl5814 Dont feel bad, I have seen other people call that also. lol
Her name is tuva semmingsen :)
What a great music tracks ... Halo .. a legit game!
If these guys tour near me am definitely trying to get a ticket.
EPIC!
DUDE! I didnt even know they did a HALO cover! I kind of expected to see Cortana when the vocals started at the beginning. Like that is the only thing missing. Now I have to go see if they have done songs from Mass Effect, Elder Scroll Online, World of Warcraft, Assassins Creed. This is crazy amazing!
A few of those here with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra ;) czcams.com/video/-PkdLMIz-Ys/video.html
Mass Effect and ESO, no, but WoW and AssCreed, yes.
The conductor, Eimear Noone, composed some of the music for the WoW expansions herself, and the music for AssCreed 2 was composed by Danish composer Jesper Kyd, so they were obvious choices.
I´m not crying :_____
Shoutout to the person who mic’d this
This is wild.
Wha,wha chick was singing!
I almost cried everytime i watched it.
You should try out Shadows of the Colossus by Danish Symphony - another great performance of game soundtrack
I was expecting a Roman Legion to appear at my door...Hail Ceasar...Hail yes...
Man,you must to listen how they performed One Winget Angel from FF VII
W O W
Who do you think plays soundtracks to games, movies etc..?
they have made it their job to get people to listen to classical and for a chep price
OMG!! I miss my X-Box!!
Ahhhhh nostalgia! 😢...🥰
Me too!!
The fact that he is watching golden girls in the background
Is that Golden Girls on the screen in the background? :-)
Shout out to the Golden Girls playing on the TV in the background.
You'll never be able to listen to the game the same again.
Che bischero!!!
This is the only event I would gladly pay $1,000 to see...no I can't but I'd consider knocking off a gas station to do it.
If you love this and video games, you will love The Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra with Sabina Zweiacker performing The Dragonborn Comes from Skyrim: czcams.com/video/hnXD6FRZtn0/video.html
I'm speechless right now - clearly the opposite, but know that you mean :-)
Try Assassin Creed suite
Their World of Warcraft soundtrack cover is even better.
