The genius behind this music is the composer, Ennio Morricone. RIP
One and only MAESTRO 💖
Check out the wah -wah ladies colt 45 ear rings
not sure if you guys cares but if you're bored like me atm then you can watch all of the latest movies and series on Instaflixxer. Been watching with my girlfriend for the last few months =)
@Jamari Julius Yea, I have been watching on instaflixxer for since november myself :D
Ennio and Sergio were a great team in the film industry
It truly is one of the most impressive things on CZcams
The day Enio died humanity lost something very special.
RIP, maestro Morricone.
🙏😢💖👍👏
Just a year ago.
He was a treasure ❤️
I so agree!!! Genius! Ennio Morricone will be back on earth in the resurrection. Most likely, as many will! The way God originally purposed it for us....to live forever....the way it was INTENDED TO BE from the very beginning. And it's very soon to come about. "Raise your heads up as you see these things happening ( world distress ) because your deliverance is near!"
Look, when the Danish National Symphony Orchestra performs, they go all out on everything from stage decoration to lights and the actual performance
These films were called comptentously "Spaghetti westerns" because they were low budget, shot in Spain (Almeria) with Italian crew and actors. In the most famous three movies, a very young actor, unknown at the moment, was the main character: his name was Clint Eastwood and he and the movies became famous (because they were really good).
I hear the music and I see the movie in my head.
There are two kinds of people in the world, my friend. Those that see the music in thier head and those that dig.
@@cheeseburger12 gri n
Not going to listen to the Metallica version. Would just be deflating. Sorry. 😁
@@cheeseburger12 😄
For those that don't get it, watch the movie. 😉
I can see the movie in my mind and yet I can also see something in the music that actually transcends human physical sight
If you watch and listen a harmonica is being played when the lady sings the wa wa wa parts. It’s not just her voice. You can see him playing with her at 3:17.
The fact that most people don’t hear the harmonica just shows how well crafted this piece of music is and how awesome the Danish Symphony performed this peace.
this concert hall is actually designed and built so no matter where you you sit you can hear the exact same thing also meaning if you sit in one end and drop a pencil the person in the other end hears it just as loudly you do. i've been to a number of concerts in that hall and it's absolutely amazing.
Acoustics, acoustics, acoustics!!! Mics, amps, foley/mixing boards are great…but IMO can’t touch an acoustically perfect hall.
To understand the hanging man you need to watch the movie. In my opinion "The Good, The Bad and the Ugly" is the greatest western film ever made. Ennio Morricone wrote the soundtracks for many different movies. This has to be his masterpiece in my opinion. I do highly recommend that you watch the movie if you get a chance. Thanks for another great reaction.
I agree with you Rick. There are a ton of great western films out there, but "The Good, The Bad and the Ugly" is at the top.
@@dmbassa Thank´s Rick.....
You are absolutely spot on ..
well, its also tradition to "hang" the old conductor when a new one arrives in that particular Orchestra ;)
Sure it is. A marvelous movie without age....
These are some of the GREATEST MUSICIANS and SINGERS I have EVER heard!!
we ( im danish) are very proud of our national symphony orchestra..... besides performing moviescores, they have done alot of game related music performances.. brilliant
You have every right to be proud of your national symphony orchestra . Brilliant . So talented and obviously enjoying their efforts . Superb .
word. Absolutely brilliant. Tears on my face thinking that music this beautiful can mend our world. I’m speechless. Props to the Danes and peace and love ☮️
Bravo 👏 your country has something truly great.
If I'm not mistaken (I haven't checked) they were involved with the game _Hit Man: Blood Money._
This Orchestra invited the British Rock band, Procal Harum, to perform their 1967 hit "Whiter Shade of Pale" with them in 2006 !
It's a must see !
And THAT my friend is an orchestra 🤗 Ennio Morricone , the composer is a genius ! Do watch the movie...you won’t be disappointed I think 👍
Guarda anche qualche concerto di Morricone dal vivo.
Yes national orchestras tend to contain talented musicians. 😏
I have lost count on how many times I have listened to this performance and I cry every time as it is beautiful.
word. actual tears… they just sprung out of my eyes and I didn’t even notice. Music is the universal language. Maybe that’s what we need to mend our country AND the world. Peace ☮️
Same, I always cry at this song.
World class performance and production. Thank you all!
When a music makes you like cutting onions.,...it's Epic
This orchestra is the BOMB ... For me they are THE premier orchestra in the world
I watched one reviewer who commented this performance made him want to go out and do something heroic.
It's absolutely astounding. I keep listening over and over!
The 2nd piece that begins at 3:33 is called "Ecstasy of Gold" and accompanies the scene in the movie in which the bandit Tuco (Eli Wallach) is running through a Civil War cemetery frantically searching for a particular grave marker where gold is buried. I think the passage at 5:23 is exquisite.
Yeah, watch Tuva's eyes. "Ok Babe, it's all you from here on out!"
Spoilers!
The best part ever
If you wanna shoot, don't talk just shoot! Hahaha best part of the movie 😂😂
The Unknown grave marker next to Arch Stanton, as I recall.
Goosebumps when the Soprano came in. All it takes is hearing The Ecstasy of Gold and I immediately see in my head the big climax of the movie. I won't spoil it, but the combination of the scene and the music is perfection.
scena e sottofondo: la perfezione
The full orchestra and choir give the piece a grandeur.
When you study voice for years and become a mezzo-soprano with hours and hours of practice and you come to work one day and they tell you: Ok we want you to sing Wah wah wah and whistle. Tuva Semmingsen has quite a resume. She's very very good.
Actually in this concert she sang many more songs, including Kill Bill.
She's OUTSTANDING!
I just found out the other day that a harmonica backs her vocals up, and gives them added harmonics.
The audio mixer did a wonderful job balancing all the instruments and voices. You could hear individual instruments so clearly. This symphony really knocked it out of the park.
Did you notice the cool pistol earrings on the wah wah gal?
The piece has gone deservedly viral. It always blows my mind how the reviewers, seeing it and hearing it for the first time, are surprised by Mezzo Soprano Tuva Semmingsen and her "Wah, wah" vocalizations. There are no spoken words. All is emoted and builds to its conclusion. I so regret not being able to see Maestro Morricone and Susanna Rigacci perform this in Italy. At least we can see a few performances here on CZcams.
Symphony music is one of those things that you take for granted, the pure talent involved until you see it happening right before your eyes
I'm the world's luckiest SOB - I'm going to this concert when they do it again August 17th!
Four years after this recording all the talented people do the success live again, and who doesn't dream of being there experiencing it??, it is actually becoming possible 17-20th of Aug. Perhaps the only time ever in this form.
All the scenes of the moovies of Sergio Leone are in my head. Best westerns ever made. Ennio Moricone is one of the greatest composer of history of cinema.
So hard for me to pick between The Good, The Bad And The Ugly and Once Upon A Time In The West. Two of the, if not the two, best Westerns ever made.
@@jandavidson7093 TRUE. But ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST is the greatest. And this movie ranks second, and extremely close to the first.
And the rest are a great distance apart.
@@rogeliozamora9264 Well that's still an opinion. I think the good the bad and the ugly is the number 1 by far.
@@Brian-cj8qm with the movie soundtrack, yes.
But with the movie, it is WIDELY REGARDED as the greatest.
Even though TG TB & TU is my favorite; I'll have to accept OUATITWest ranks #1.
Absolutely beautiful 😻
The sound track is another character in the film
This is one of the most iconic movie themes ever done. Fortunately the movie is one of the most iconic Westerns ever filmed. If you haven't seen it, it's well worth the time to watch.
The world falls into two categories:
Those who saw the film and the rest.
Others can dig.....
Yep, they are amazing. Big Cheers from Denmark 🍻
Heard it so many times and still get chills.
Ennio Morricone wrote the music for the movie, The Danish National Symphony to perfection.
The lady who sang "wah wah", her name is tuva semmingson, a classically trained singer in her own right, she sings everything from opera to standards to pop. A diva of the 1st class. If you look closely, for this concert she was wearing little six shooter earrings. PERFECT!!!
I watched an interview with the two vocalists.Tuva Semmingsen AKA the Wa Wa Lady, as she has been called by the tube, actually likes being called the Wa Wa Lady. She couldn't believe how this performance took off on the tube. Christine Nonbo Andersen is the solo vocalist in the audience. This was her first performance with the Danish National Orchestra. Both ladies nailed their performances and added a stunning element to this Ennio Morricone masterpiece.
Ennio Morricone was a composer of film soundtracks, where he used instruments and objects that are not normally used in an orchestral ensemble. Electric guitars, basses, ocarinas, bongos ... but also whips, gunshots, gusts of wind. Entering Morricone's work is a complete immersion.
A moving tribute for fidelity down to the smallest details is what the Spaghetti Werstern Orchestra did to him.
I was impressed by the videography, too...Such overall excellence throughout the performance...
We studied this film in UCLA film school. There were 3 films in this series with Clint Eastwood, A Fistful of Dollars, A Few Dollars More, and The Good The Bad And The Ugly which was the best one with the biggest budget. All directed by Italian director Sergio Leone with music by Ennio Morricone, all filmed in Spain with many European non- English speaking actors and filmed MOS (without sound) with the sound and dialog dubbed in post production. Anyway one of the great classic westerns.
It's not part of the Dollars Trilogy, but the cinematography (and Morricone's music) is amazeballs in Once Upon a Time in The West...
And pretty amazing of the composer (Morricone) who put together all these different sounds... and the orchestra who put it together as a live performance.
he was the pioneer to integrate non-orchestral instruments and noisemaking into classic orchestra for special effects... before him (as far as i know) was no one who dared and he wasn't affraid of doing so :)
This style of music have a name: Ennio Morricone, and this orchestra nailed it!
Nothing like great musicians performing great music.
About a year before he died, Ennio Morricone visited Copenhagen with an Orchestra. I could have wished for him to have been here with, really a full orchestral performance of his works!! Finn. Denmark
I fell in love with them after listening to thier Star Trek medley and then I heard this, have not stopped listening to them ever since. Great vid man subbed for sure!
I see and watch this performance, it just puts a smile on my face!
For a piece that is at least 50+ years it's held up wonderfully.
If you want to try something really different listen to El Paso by Marty Robbins released in 1959.
This song is iconic. Absolutely beautiful isn’t it, especially when you get to see how it’s made. You’ve got to see the movie while this song plays along! Again it’s an iconic song, so is the movie and so is Clint Eastwood!❤
They did all three movie themes of Clint's spaghetti westerns at that concert.
Sergio Leone ' s movies .. Clint was along for the ride ... literately
Sergio Leone.
If you ever watch the movie, you hear all this in the background, but we don't make the connection the human voice is also used until we see something like this to fill in all the dots that make this such a beautiful piece
Shout out from Texas. I am loving this.
The music was composed by Ennio Morricone. The reason everyone is in sync so well is the conductor.
I think you would also love the Danish National Symphony playing Once Upon a Time in the West.
Go ahead and say her name: Sarah Hicks. I love how she starts to "rock out" near the end.
Every time I play poker and know I have the best cards, I have this song playing in my head.
Brilliant job by the orchestra & vocalists, one of my favorite movies, and a smokin' hot conductor. Great performance.
Another masterpiece from Ennio Morricone. He also did the theme from the western classic Once Upon a Time In the West. There's a great video of it coupling together the original hummed version from the movie in 1968 by Edda Dell'Orso with the sung version done in 2014 by 14-year-old Jackie Evancho, all backed up by scenes from the movie. The song is called "Your Love" and it is a stunning piece of music.
Fantastic !! Love this music anyway but the Danish Symphony Orchestra have just got me hooked & listening to everything they do . My eyes have been opened ! Please try a sample . What a pleasure .
I love Ennio Morricone's work. He combined conventional and unconventional instruments with the human voice in very creative ways. There are no lyrics. The human voices are basically another type of instrument. And, of course, kudos to the Danish National Symphony who did an outstanding job with this. [I tried to find out which orchestra did the original motion picture version but struck out. If anyone knows who did it, please comment.]
Guarda wikipedia Italia
Ennio Morricone composed that in 1968
Mind blowing
I have seen several symphonies perform lots of movie themes, and not your normal concert music, such as Nights In White Satin, but never this one until DNS did this. Truly amazing.
The wha-wha was made by a perfect sync of her voice and a harmonica. Damnit, my computer desk just turned into a saloon bar. Fine... Milt? I'll take another whiskey.
One of the most famous movie themes ever written, add the Clint Eastwood movie in and its a masterpiece performed to perfection here by the danish national symphony orchestra.
ennio morricone and sergio leone were classmates at elementary schools in Rome. destiny had already decided.
Interestingly, Morricone wanted nothing to do with Eastwood or his films outside of his work with Sergio Leone. And yes, Clint did ask him "nicely."
the waa waa lady, the aye ayee ayye singers, the so so serious violin
player, the guy on horn with whale lungs, and the angel on balcony. so
much talent with all involved. (the blonde on balcony always makes my eyes water.)
I have the same response to the angel on the balcony. Every single time. And I have listened to this one a lot in the past couple of weeks. The whole performance is amazing, but she gets the price.
Make sure you see Susanna Rigacci with Ennio Morricone perform in Venice. You will melt!

The Good, The Bad & The Ugly - Reactions and the singers
They have lots of great performances of movie soundtracks-I just finished watching their performance of Alien. It’s even more amazing!
Susan Hicks is an extremely talented musician/ conductor!
Sarah.. but close anyways :)
Joy to my heart to see someone who doesn't usually listen to symphony get WOW'D by this.
Great to see your reaction. You really seemed to FEEL the music on an emotional level.
7:00 oh nice, weird how it never occurred to me that it makes perfect sense for reaction channel to leave a comment on the video being reacted to. maybe even a link could be nice since it is a review of sorts so the original author gets some feedback especially if they're new.
Absolutely beautiful I can listen to that over and over ❤️🐨🇦🇺🇦🇺🐨
OW! It is so rare to see someone reacting to this video, I have liked it for a long time, thank you.
This is a Masterpiece by Ennio Morricone, composer and conductor. Along with the tracks of the other films in Sergio Leone's nameless gunslinger trilogy, he established the paradigmatic Western Movie Music. Every time you listen to "Western Movie Music" anywhere, it is a work by Ennio Morricone.
This version is an arrangement for a full orchestra, the original soundtrack of the film is a little different. This one is more majestic.
It is difficult to know for sure how the original sounds were produced for the film, because there are no footages from the sessions.
The fact is that Ennio Morricone did not have a very large budget, so he could not hire a complete orchestra, as would normally be done.
He used creativity and a group that made very different sounds, made all the unconventional parts. Which turned out to be a very impressive result, never seen before. And not afterwards either.
"rare"?..... There are 1 billion of videos reacting to this performance on CZcams... Lol
It reminds you that back in the 60s, when Morricone wrote this, it took a whole lot of actual people with a lot of actual talent to create something like this. Now you can do it with a computer, synthesizer and some algorithms but it's really not the same.
As a Gamer, this one must be right up your alley: "Halo // The Danish National Symphony Orchestra & Eimear Noone (LIVE)"
"Everything in sync." LOL! That's what musicians do...when they've rehearsed. Hahahaha...
People aren't used to symphonic orchestra's.
@@DjTonioRoffo - Nonsense. Symphony orchestras have been around since the dawn of music. Only unrefined clods have never seen a symphony orchestra. And everyone has heard them. Where do you think the soundtrack to most movies and TV shows come from?
@@ProdigyBowlersTour don't assume I'm stupid, please. I'm a big fan of movie scores. Still, reaction after reaction, people are.gobsmacked when watching what a symphonic orchestra can do.
@@DjTonioRoffo - I don't assume anyone is "stupid." And I didn't say that I thought you (or anyone) is. I said "only unrefined clods have never seen a symphony orchestra," and I stand by that. Furthermore, I asserted that "everyone has heard them." Indeed, almost every motion picture you would ever see and hear utilizes some form of a symphony orchestra to score the motion picture. If you've ever watched the Academy Awards on TV or the Emmys or even a dramatic series of any kind, you've heard a symphony orchestra.
Do people -- and especially people doing these reaction channels -- seem to flip out over symphony orchestras? Yes, quite often they do. And the fact that they do tells me they have very limited exposure to them. That alone does not make me rethink what I've said. It just reaffirms it. A person would have to have led a pretty sheltered life to know so little about music that a symphony orchestra would seem like a completely new and unfamiliar art form. Yes, I stand by every word of that.
for a non studio-mixed rendering this sounds superb
This is my favorite Saturday afternoon movie . I am in my 60's and was floored when I heard this fir the first time.
Got to love the silhouette in the background. Fantastic , thanks for the reaction
I have loved this music since I was a teen. I am now 68. I have all the original albums still. I love to listen to this music on long car trips through the West. I have listened to pretty much all the You Tubes related to Ennio's music. If you have not seen the Movies then I suggest you give them a try!
Can't go wrong with a Amazing Western Theme!
Geno Morricone D.E.P....Que maravilla para los sentidos la orquesta, los coros,y la cantante
Ennio Morricone, the composer, passed last year... He was brilliant and will live on as long as his music is played and appreciated.
My Dad had this soundtrack on record back in the 70's and as a kid it was my favorite!)))
The first half was the theme of the movie, the second half was "The Ecstasy of Gold". The theme was actually played on the popular AM radio as a major hit when I was a kid. The Ecstasy of Gold, well, what can I say, I have always loved it. But between those two, in the movie, there are other major musical pieces, all worth remembering. And the end, with the three-way shootout, fantastic music. If you can listen to this music without seeing Tuco running through a cemetery, or seeing a grave marker with "Arch Stanton" at the end of the piece, then you are culturally deprived. There are two kinds of people in the world my friend, those who have seen this movie, and those who haven't.
Apparently the soprano and the wawa woman, this was a job they got, they came and did it as told, then went on with their lives, both where stunned about how it took off!
music of ennio morricone
I've watched a few times. It's brilliant.
Beethoven,Mozart,Chopin and Strauss,Morricone right up in that company!!.
I know this is 2 years ago but please please go and experience a live symphony orchestra live. It will make you realise that the world is beautiful
I got to listen to this the second time the show was put on. Ennio Morricone was my favorite film score composer and I cried when I sat there, in the cheap seats, and heard this live, that's how good it was. And still is.
Please listen to the soundtrack of the movie “The Mission”. Also by Ennio Morricone & absolutely gorgeous. You’ll love it. Brilliant movie worth watching too.
uploading it today actually!
As a Dane I grew up with the DR symphony orchestra and choir and they are pros to the bone with anything they do 🤟
waa waa lady, so so serious violin player, horn player with whale lungs and angel on balcony.
they also released a video interview with the singers in this. very good information
YEAH. That english horn soloist was incredibly talented!
I've watched this reaction several times, really enjoy it :)
Wow, thank you!
Now you're ready for the version by The Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain!!
Yes, on ukeleles!! 😲
I agree fully. I've seen The Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain live on two occasions. They make music enormous fun.
That's like watching a kid with Tinkertoys after the launch of the space shuttle.
If youre a gamer, check out the video the Danish National Symphony , they performed World of Warcraft and did an AMAZING job with it, it blew me away and Ive been playing it since the beginning =) They als have performed other video game tracks in their concerts. I love this
This video perfectly shows the difference between "composing" music and "arranging" music for movies.
To "compose" you must KNOW what each instrument is capable of, how it can highlight another instrument OR counter it, as well as how it can emphasis specific emotional responses. And you must KNOW how to do it note for note, bar for bar, piece by piece.
To "arrange" you must KNOW how each sound works with or against each other. And you must KNOW where your "power" comes from.
Composing is like a hand written letter to a dear friend or loved one. Arranging is simply typing a form letter. Both can be moving, don't get me wrong. But the "composed" version will always feel more emotionally connected to both the composer and the listener.
Right-on Cyneward.....fantastic!
Thank you kindly!
Hi
Cyneward thank you so much for reacting to the Danish Symphony musik, love testen movies i live.
Greetings from Denmark SIR
Besides just listening to the music you see it also. Never thought of what went behind making this song.
I love your "waving kitty!" so cute
2:43 "There's so many involved into this... everyone is in sync with each other.". Welcome to orchestral music mate!
I love beautiful music
Long Live the Man, The Myth and The Legend of Ennio Morricone.
Everybody should go to a symphony orchestra concert at least once in their life. If you are lucky, they'll be playing music you didn't know you knew, such as a lot of music from the Bugs Bunny cartoons where I learned I liked classical music. eg. Barber of Seville.
