I too am a lefty but the magazine release is so stiff I really never have an issues with accidental magazine drops. Biggest problem for leftys IMHO is gas and carbon in the face. The only protection is that clugey kydex piece you can bolt on.
Ok...now fix the crummy picatinny rail on the fore grip. Because the fore grip is in two pieces, the top of the rail is not flat and has a bit of a peak. So attachments are not stable and will rock side to side. It's why I like my gen 2 with the red Lion precision rotating fore grip better.
However, they also added the option to go either clockwise, or counterclockwise rotation to lock the bolt back/open. When I was looking at the Gen 2 and Gen 3, I noticed the Gen 2 only let you pull it counterclockwise into the locking notch. Edit: lol I see them talking about that in the video now, nevermind 😂
I'm looking to buy one of these Kel-Tec gen 3 gen 1 you had multi mag Gen 2 you went to Glock mag gen 3 you stayed with Glock mags you upgraded the whole rifle but you didn't do what you should have done the first time multimag I don't get it accompany this big you added a twist on the barrels why didn't you just add the multimag from the get-go I don't understand a company this big still struggling to get a right a lot of people have 9 mm of other brands why won't you have made it so it'll be easier for the buyer to have it easy and use what they have on their 9mm pistol
On my gen 2 with Red Lion Precision rotating fore grip i can rotate the optic 180 degrees, this way it sits in line with the rest of the gun when folded.
Thanks for the comment. They told me that the front sight they had would often come loose and lose zero. They wanted to keep the price point down as well. So its up to the end user to set it up. I will end up getting a red dot and magpul flip up backup sights.
They're really targeting those who want to use optics with the Gen 3 but if you want to use irons there are plenty of inexpensive rail mounted iron sights out there.
Just buy the ones you like instead of having to deal with forced ones (that you pay in the price of the weapon anyways). This is the industry standard with picatinny rail system. Rifle is fine.
@fanbatcher Ummm that's kind of exactly what unmagnified red dot optics do best. There is a reason just about every CQB ops team uses them on their rifles.
While I too am not a fan of the plastic feed ramp and replaced mine with the MCarbo steel feed ramp, I know a bunch of folks who put thousands of rounds through their stock gen2s without issue.
Can the magazine catch be switched to the other side for us southpaws?
Sadly, does not currently.

Keltec doing good things.
got to put about 3-4 mags through a gen 2 at my local range today, so much fun. looking forward to copping one of these soon!
Awesome!!! Would love to pick up one of those!
I’ve had 2 sub 2000 gen 2 let them go unfortunately but this gen 3 looking very impressive
Great review!
Ordered one off Gunbroker should get it 1/18
How is it?
Have not picked it up yet the guy that does the transfer doesn’t get there till 2. I’ll definitely let you know.
How much did you pay for it @@bl1969
What Was The PRICE ???
AWESOME DELUX 😂
Ask him how he keeps his beard out of the charging handle while shooting?? My got caught and WOW!!!! OUCH!!! But absolutely love the Sub 2000
I want iron sights. Can I install those and will there be enough room on the front post? The guard looks longer.
plenty of room for iron sights
Does it have last round bolt hold open?? Please respond? Thanks
no it does not
If they ever come out with a version of this in 5.7 x28 they won’t e able to make them fast enough
Can we still do M-Carbo mods on it?
yes, but you would not need the trigger mod or the flip to side optics mod
@tacdad well the full trigger mod comes with different springs and improved trigger bar.
anyone know if it is still gonna be 9mm or are there any additional calibers??????
There are plans for other calibers in the future, but right now 9mm is the only one available

Still no last round bolt hold open, right?
correct, although there is a small hold on top to see if there is a round in the chamber. I will show this in my post competition shooting match video

Good gun. I just hate the plastic

It takes Glock mags just like a S&W
Doesn’t change the fact the the red dot is still sitting in a crap spot when folded up.
You can use a small profile red dot or just use flip up sights
On my gen 2 with Red Lion Precision rotating fore grip i can rotate the optic 180 degrees, this way it sits in line with the rest of the gun when folded.
Is the interviewer know anyrhing about gun?
A 9mm carbine without iron sights? A total no go for me. Bad idea.

@@benjaminb1055 A 9mm carbine is a short distance weapon. No need for optics on a gun suited for 50-100 yards maximum.

And there's still a plastic feed ramp...🤦
and it runs great!
@@tacdad until it doesn't
Honestly, I have not seen any youtube videos on that issue. But you never know.@@robertboutin6232
@@tacdad i have a gen 2 Ive never had any issues myself but it would just make me feel warm and fuzzy if it wasn't plastic lol. God bless.
