    Most people are against these. However, truth me told, they are decent little guns. Mine in .40S&W with Glock mags has taken four deer 🦌 in the last two years. They all were hit in the lungs and expired fairly quickly. This is a decent survival gun.

      I don’t think many are “against them” so to speak but a lot of people don’t necessarily have a need for one so they knock it. Personally I love it as well as my ruger pc9 that both take Glock mags. The S&W FPC9 is definitely all around better than the le tech though you should definitely check it out. Only down side to me personally is it doesn’t take Glock mags and I have a lot more Glock mags than M&P mags. Build wise, it’s built how the sub2k should have been built.

    I recently got a Sub2000 in 9mm multi mag, used my armory skills to install all the MCARBO upgrades. HUGE improvement. MCARBO has a video that is step by step to get it all done. PATIENCE required, but I have accomplished the complete teardown/rebuild twice successfully. It has made the carbine a much better unit. I polished the stainless steel feed ramp/upper ramp and the hammer face, sear, chamfered the bolt to engage the hammer smoother (which enhanced the recoil speed also. smoother is faster). The MCARBO trigger (flat face), springs, trigger guard, trigger bar .. the whole kit, came with armorers tool and wooden dowel. GREAT range "toy" and as accurate as the shooter. Nice video by the way.

      Same. Have a 9mm Gen2 with a muzzle brake, rail-mount angle grip, flip-away optic mount with a 3x scope, all long Glock mag's, new bolt cushions, and a rubber stock cushion. The muzzle brake and stock cushion are a couple of the best options to be had.

    The integrally suppressed version with all those upgrades would be bad ass!

    I've had the MCARBO fully upgraded version for about three years and love it. You focused a lot on their optic mount, but I don't care for it as I don't like how much it sticks out when you fold the gun. It makes it bulky which kind of defeats the main feature of the gun and is more likely to snag when pulling the folded gun out of a backpack. I initially went with another brands mount, but have since gone to a simple 45 degree offset mount. No twisting or flipping. The red dot is snugged right up to the gun and doesn't interfere with folding. It might seem weird to cock the gun over to shoot it, but it feels very natural and is easier and more comfortable to sight because since the gun is cocked over It means I have to cock my head over less. The trigger kit might be a bear to install, but most of the MCARBO upgrades your average gun owner can do. Most of MCARBO's upgrades are phenomenal with the exception of that optic mount and their buttstock pad (that you didn't mention). I'm not screwing holes in my gun to mount a hard pad. I went with the Missouri Tactical pad.
    Nice video, but could have been more detailed. Talk about the optic mount and how difficult upgrades are to install and then mention a couple of upgrades. Too bad you didn't mention more of them and what their benefits are.

      @earldelsanto Před 3 měsíci

      Right on! Absolutely! Offset optic mount is the way to go. They are dirt cheap compared to the M carbo mount.and even more important the m carbo mount just makes a big site hanging out the side when folder. Ridiculous as the price difference. You can get offset mount for between 10 and 15 bucks whereas m carbo is 149.00 plus shipping. The offset will cost less than the shipping of the m carbo.

    Cool vid! I have two builds fully loaded w MCARBO gear on G19 and G17 and they are just plain cool kits, functional, light, easy to move and shoot etc etc. And fun to shoot happy sticks and drums too so unique looking too! Shout out to the great guys and vets of MCARBO! ❤

    "But, if you for example try to engage someone with a LVPO AR-15, you're guaranteed to get folded like an Omelette " - Brandon Herrera
    Gripes aside, I do like my S2K

    • @pinballrick6031
      @pinballrick6031 Před rokem +1

      I saw that Herrera video. Other than the obvious fact that you wouldn't put a SUB up against an AR most of his arguments were pretty lame. He was really reaching and digging trying to find negative things about the SUB. Like, "It says Glock 19 on the side in case you forget what ammo to use." (paraphrased) Uh, my Glock says Glock 19 on the side of it too. In case I forget it's a Glock? I like Brandon's videos, but he was way off the mark on that one.

    Good review but I have a question or two. I was a going to purchase one of these 9mm carbines but. the "loading lever' to insert a bullet. into the chamber kept pinching my finger. And it was very hard to pull back..... Did you replace yours....?

  • @languagesource355

    I think anyone familiar with both companies' products can't help but develop a nagging feeling - that Kel-Tec and M*CARBO should merge. Kel-Tec dudes can keep coming up with ideas and designs and M*CARBO dudes can advise on material selection and be in charge of production and QC. I understand that when you invent cool nifty designs, your mind might not be too interested by the boring stuff, like implementation. But long-term, I think buyers would appreciate it 🙃 Seems like the concept of a folding PCC is here to stay, other companies are picking up the baton and running with it, arguably doing it better. You can't win on price point alone. A Gen 3 might sound exciting and mysterious, but maybe a solid, sturdy Gen 2.2 with better stock sights, some other improved parts, recoil buffer, etc. would be a good way to go. Just thinking out loud :)

    I call my Sub2000 my "Transformers gun" since you have to transform it from storage mode to combat mode, I've added the Mcarbo sight mount, an Autobot badge, and plan to get a folding grip solely to add to the Transformers referemce

    Please tell me what brand of red dot you're running on that S2K! I've got a .40 cal version that runs S&W mags to match my service pistol and I'm in the market for something smaller or more compact than the Sig Sauer Romeo5. Looks like you might also be using some custom earplugs too.

    I am looking at the MCARBO rear sight replacement. My front sight is all the way down and I am still shooting low. I filled in the factory rear sight and drilled a new hole higher up. If that does not work the MCARBO taller rear sight will be ordered. I need the peep sight for quick response. Currently I am using a quick release on my optic. Return to zero is very good. I tried the 45 degree offset but can't get the height right. I too don't want the side bulk of the MCARBO mount.

    The pin bit that the charging handle is attached to could be replaced with one that's offset at an angle so that it's away from the face. A tiny groove could be cut into that tube to help with that idea.

    I wonder if by the time you buy all these upgrades and pay a gunsmith to install them you might as well purchase a Smith & Wesson FPC. I own sub 2000's in 9mm and 40 and have enjoyed shooting them over the years that I've owned them. I really like the FPC because of the ease of optic mounting..

    • @doughboy7686
      @doughboy7686 Před rokem

      Naw if I were you just buy the mcarbo fully upgraded sub2000. The s&w is harder to break down to me but for 1140 I have a full mcarbo sub2000 I could have left the arm strap with the connector off made it cheaper but I have every mcarbo upgrade you can have for 1100 and I would say it's as good and dependable as my cmmg banshee or my daniel defense carbine. Night and day difference

    Or you can buy all this already installed directly from MCARBO for about $1050.
    If you leave off the optic mount it's about $800. I'd recommend that and just get it and DIY.

    Or just buy a full mcarbo 2000 upgraded sub2000. I paid 1100 for my sub2000 with a addional lifetime warranty from mcarbo. Takes the sun2000 from being like tuffer wear from keltech to something major. I would say the keltech sub2000 from keltech is like buying a ford festiva. But the mcarb I makes you feel you just upgraded to a Mercedes. I have a cmmg banshee and I would rate my mcarbo right with it.
