Lloyd is literally the most chill dude on the planet, and his voice is super relaxing, too.
Lowrider shows are a blast!! The car clubs all pulling up together, the music, the food, little kids running around, freestyle dancing contests, 50/50 raffles, and then cordoning off a jump area, pulling out the giant rulers, and bring out the purpose built competition hopping cars and putting on a show!! Solenoids sparking, hoses busting and getting some real distances off the ground. Then there's the mini-trucks section with the dancing beds!!

I had a lowrider when i lived in California. I spent some time looking for a fabricator to do the full frame wrap, reinforce the a-arms, rear end, slip n stubb, etc. I couldn't find someone i could trust with my car.
Most lowrider owners you see in Cali are quick to spend their money on candy paint, chrome undies, and interior. However their cars were not reinforced and their trunks were fire hazards. Wires everywhere, batteries not secured properly, and oil leaks like crazy.
This was an awesome video. Sandro was in his element and the other guy knew his stuff. Just listening to them talk about something so passionately was awesome. I learned a lot..

Although I was born in East L.A. and grew up in that general area, I always owned Mustangs and Kawasakis & Ducatis. I was definitely not a lowrider guy. But when my son turned 12 and he begged me to take him to a lowrider show. I only did it for him, but it was a blast! We used to go to like 20 shows a year. You gotta go to one. There's no street take-overs. It's all low and slow with lots of music, lots of food, very family oriented with kids running around. Lots of cool cars and mini-trucks. Freestyle dance contests, 50/50 raffles. The hopping contests are done in cordoned off areas for safety. Most of all, lowrider people are truly nice people. And they help each other out. They have awesome toy drives for Christmas. If you're in the L.A. area, I suggest that you Follow Angel One on IG to find all the shows.

@@8tonystark8they allow him to say whatever he wants because that's how he would normally communicate. Makes the content more authentic. Bleeping is also among the easiest things to do when it comes to Donut's production team.
Sandro has been cool from day one, every new vid he seems more comfortable and quick on the draw. Love to see more with him, like shop tour or a day in the life typething.

A dude with a low rider used to come into our shop once a month to mount tires on his little rims. Everytime he came in we knew exactly what tires to pull out of storage and then mounted them immediately cause he was there so often lol.
Sooo... all that jumping around damages tires a lot I guess?
How ridiculous. He can piss away his money all he wants, keeps yall busy 😅
@@grimm00002 His tires were wearing out fast cause they were stretched and really small. A smaller tire rotates more and wears out faster but these tires are crazy cheap though. Its been several years but I recall them being around like $50 -$100 a piece.
Lloyd was a sick guest! I know he's specifically associated with the lowrider scene, but he said he's all about cars in general so I think he should definitely come back thru for some other topics!
And Sandro, as always, is a pure joy to see 😂 dude's energy is unmatched so far!

There are a few diffrent styles of Lowriders, diffrent scenes even, this is the most popular, you can call it the Lowrider magazine scene, they call it traditional even though it ain't really, it certainly is the most flamboyant. I personally like the Bomba and old school scene a lot more.
I don't like lowriders in general, but this was super interesting. I'd be down for more of this.

Seeing all these clips makes me wish I had more low riders in my state. but also makes me wish I didn't because of how crazy some of these clips can get.
