It may be of interest that the line was opened June 1st 1913, and is 1 m gauge electrified with 650 V DC. The local company Stern and Hafferl exploited the line, built to connect the touristic Attersee with the railway station, in such an economic way that it could be kept open where others had to close. Buying 2nd hand stock and combining various functions in one employee made this possible.
