We’re introverts, of course we watched that video the second it released because we knew it’d be relatable
introverts assemble
Great Scott, that was a great skit.

Introverted dads may not be the loudest but from what I’ve seen in my friends’ dads who were introverts, they are always strong pillars of support and create a peaceful environment at home. They do build a stronghold of love and understanding for their families.
Not a peaceful home requires a lot of mental power
@@realdragontrue for a fact
my dad is an introvert, he is basically the stability that understands that i just really hate interacting with people
But a peaceful home has nothing to do with introversion. Some introverted parents can be withdrawn from their family. What is needed is emotional availability and a person actually playing their role. Nothing to do with extroversion or introversion.
@@nontoncube8450I agree and my second brother is a major introvert but is always there for family and friends too. He is just quiet, doesn’t like to socialize or go out much, etc.
“He’s the most amazing excuse that I’ve ever had for getting out of going places and doing stuff.” Is the best part 🤣🤣
Frank is narrating his experience as an introverted father, how cool
Introvert Moms be like "locking themselves in the bathroom at regular intervals to get a little I-time".
I can't even do that, toddlers have to sit next to you on their "potty" every time you have to be in the bathroom.
@@opalknight6947 Yes, that's classic. That's why you have to lock the door, you will just be seeing their hands under the door for however long you are in there, so you still will know what they are doing.
Lol it's me in future
Hand kid over to dad/other parent/sibbling/grand parent Problem solved.
@@mallagallabumbum8209 Unless you don't have any of those people available to help you. Not everyone has a support group of friends and family members when they have kids.
I cant tell you how many times my dads gotten a phone call and he handed me it saying: "Here, you deal with it. Just tell him im busy."
What would you say? "Wrong number"?
“He’s the most amazing excuse that I’ve ever had for getting out of going places and doing stuff.”
I need to borrow a Toddler
That would be called 'babysitting'.
It's great because you also get money, 'favor' points you can call-in later, or just relationship points (depending on your relationship with the parent(s) / caregiver). But if you want money or a specific favor you better nail that down in definitive terms ahead of time. 😆

A child wanting to be read the same book over & over is building their memory. Always acknowledge a child’s feelings before getting them to do something. “I know your upset right now but we need to go”
Can we communicate privately
Good points. Keeping the developmental stage in mind can help adults deal with the repetition. And a 'feelings first' attitude is a good way to go.
I've heard the word "but" isn't the best choice when talking about feelings, because it can be taken as negating the statement before it.
In your example, it's kind of true (we need to leave, even though you're upset), but you don't want to come off as not caring that they're upset.
It might be helpful to make separate sentences. "I know you're upset and don't want to go. We need to leave so we can pick up your sister, but we can do this again another time."
Or you could start by agreeing with them: "I wish we could stay a little longer too, but if we don't leave, I won't have time to make dinner."
😂 sorry I have tried this, I think this trick is more for the parents because in the end they usually can't get through their feelings. I say pick them up after saying that and quietly proceed for the exit.
@@AA123TD It really depends on the individual kid, and also what training they've received, mental development, etc.
"For the parents" (or other caregivers) is sometimes the case! I also think adults often don't realise the stress levels they are passing on to the kid(s).
I've seen this kind of calm, matter-of-fact method work on kids, and I know other times there's no reasoning with them.
It also helps me to remember that every vice has its opposite virtue. Stubbornness is just the flip-side to being determined and steadfast. It's our job as adults to help them learn to use their natural talents in good ways.
I'm an introvert and as a child I would ask my grandma to read me one book I especially loved over and over and never got bored with it. Same goes with movies. It's true you can always find something you didn't notice before. 😊
Wow, I was literally just thinking “Hmm I wonder when FJ’s gonna upload?” And boom.
Ty!
Thanks Frank for continuing to bless us with videos. Hope lil FJ is healthy :D
As an INTJ without kids, @1:25 is the conversation I have with myself about why I'm so fussy.
Nailed it! I love my introvert hubby’s sensitivity, humor, and true enjoyment just playing with our children for hours!😂❤
The “catching nuances in a book I’ve read a thousand times” 😂 as a fellow introvert (with no kids) I find this very relatable, as someone who also reads nothing but old books I’ve read a thousand times. 😁
Hehe this is literally me with little kids, even though I am female - but introverts are introverts I guess🤣🤣🤣
Yes, I think personality type makes a much bigger difference than gender.
(I think a lot of gender stereotypes are just people generalizing genders as personality types -- or assigning personality types to a gender).
Frank James, please give us the duo we don't deserve, but the duo we need: ISTP and INTJ
I second this!
PLEASE DO!!
What about ISTJ
''The crying, the mood swings, the accidental destruction of the house'' lol, really like the bit about catching new details in the book 😄 and ''so yeah, don't react'' 😂 also love that you added the part about worrying what impact you're having on them 😅 …''the boy'' 😄😊
What? Not even a second of footage of super cute sweet little Buggy? I guess I took a title of this video way too literally 😅. It’s so easy for me to laugh now, when my kids are almost grown up 😆. Love the real set! The biting part was the funniest 😂, hope you didn’t get hurt 💙
The biting gag reminds me of modern family. 😂
“People aren’t food,
People aren’t food,
Your friends will run away
If they’re scared of being chewed…
And as a side note, private parts are private!”
😆😆
Introverted dad sounds a lot like introverted mom 😂
Hi Frank I'm glad ur taking a break, you were applying too much pressure on yourself.
Never feel bad about taking a break.❤
Agreed! I just selfishly miss his face on my screen lol
I hope everything‘s going OK for him, he deserves a break 100%.
Yeah thats true , you deserve it frank ♥❤️🩹
That book part is the one only true intuitive introverts get. Thanks, FJ!
I love these, Frank! Reading the book 3000 times and still finding things you missed? Yep, that's so true. Hilarious sketch! I hope Dad will be okay and not stress too much about the irreparable damage he's doing to the kid. 🙌
Not a dad but I can definitely relate. When my kids were younger I used them shamelessly to get out of stuff. It was great! And I still check for 'foot traffic' days in advance for most places.😅
Frank, you're the bestest. Related to Introvert Dad 100%! Introverted Mom who raised a lovely ADHD child: That bit of time at night after the kid's safely asleep & the hubby was also asleep and I had NO obligation to do anything for anyone for 3 hours was frankly, delicious. 😂 But I'm also a night owl...
This also applies to introverted moms. 'Playdate' and 'birthday party' are words that still give me chills even though my children are grown and gone.
I love my little siblings because they are perfect for getting out of situations I don't want to be in anymore
I know I sound like a broken record but, you know it’s gonna be a good day when you see that FJ uploads😁
Why did my brain think that in Buddy the elf’s voice?
@@Alystra7 why was I thinking the same exact thing as I said it???🤣

Big sister here, I constantly think about damage to psyche 😅
I bet FJ is a great dad. Fatherhood looks good on him 😊
OK I laughed way too hard at this! The same thing goes for Mom’s too introverted Mom’s versus extroverted Moms 😂
Ha ha, funny, especially the introvert and book on finding new things no matter how many times it's been read. The same goes for movies watched 1000 times! Have a great day Frank, get some rest. :)
It's heartwarming that there are some things that all toddler-dads have in common, whatever their personality is ☺
Gotta say, some of these - especially the allusion to parent crying meltdown and the happily reading the same book a thousand times - had me wondering if this was not just "introvert parent" but "undiagnosed autistic parent" (speaking as someone who had that belated realization myself)
1:05 Great example of "Do as i say, not as i do"
I was looking forward for a surprising cameo from your little bug 😅 Not gonna lie, I am a bit disappointed 🤣 On the other hand, I think both versions of being a dad may (secretly) be based on your own thoughts and reactions. Buggy will watch this someday and have a list of questions for you. Good luck 😂
ikr 😁
An introvert's reason to having children.
1. An excuse not to go to social functions.
2. An opportunity to have minions that you can raise to like the same stuff you do.
3. To be like László Polgár and try out your random theories that you believe will create child prodigies.
"Don't React" the reason I relate is because I'm afraid I might be a bad influence in ANY sort of way... lol
1:35 for a second I thought that blue blender in the background was a wooper
This is so true! Especially at 0:38
Wait why do you look so neat here? Like you look flawless!! 💅
Lol, this is perfect!!
His introvert dad costume even looks like my dad.
My video paused at 1:38 and I totally thought that was the joke 😂😂😂
Frank James thank you so much for putting so much effort in these wholesome videos and even caring to give us custom subtitles!!
As someone with an INCREDIBLY introverted dad… yes. Just yes. I have even seen him use me as an excuse not to go to a social event. Too good 😂
Frank, I had the most amazing conversation with a random grandma this week. She told me the reason grandparents are so soft and easy on their grandkids is because after their kids grow up they realize that all the ways they were afraid they were going to screw up their kid never actually manifested. In the end, it was all the kid's own personality.
Yay! Needed some laughs. Just got out of a super long meeting. The introvert dad was my dad. Good memories! My dad is an ISTP. Super chill.
Can we communicate privately
Introvert mom here. As tiring as it can be to socialize and be out in public with kids, I've learned that keeping them at home is even *more* exhausting, because they have too much energy. My kids (all boys) were sick a lot of this last winter and were inside a lot as a result. They've been going nuts with so much energy, and really struggling with listening and obeying.
And turns out, a kid's attention span and behavior is much, much better when they get lots of exercise.
So even if it seems like it'll be too much effort to get them out of the house, remember that they'll actually be easier to teach and manage if you do take them outside.
The introvert dad’s look reminds me of the dad in the 90s Casper the ghost movie
Can we communicate privately
I'm an INFJ mom and I completely related to this video! I love using my kids as an excuse not to get together with people or go places that I don't want to go. However, I rarely need to take the kids on a trip to the library, because now I own almost as many children's books as the library has. My kids spend all the time there playing in the toy section anyway, even though they have closets full of bins filled with toys. Basically I could go through an apocalypse (or another Covid-like lockdown) and bunker down in my house for a decade and my kids would be entertained even if the whole internet was down!
Love it!!
When my niece was a toddler she randomly started playing with a steak knife and laughing…. 😮 she’s chill now luckily.
Also.. new haircut? :)
The trick is to find the least used playgrounds if you're an introvert
Google Maps says, "Much busier than usual". 💯☠

"Going to bed at 9 o'clock"? My dad is a night owl...🤣
OMG brilliant! I'm a combo of the 2! 😂
I just want to say I love you so much James you are the best actor😢❤ Thank you a lot for making us happy
Yes, absolutely. Introvert mother here. So so so true.
As an INTJ I discover you if you get a new dog you could give it to a trainer for a few weeks and when it comes back its potty trained, well mannered and so on. I would like to propose a business idea to create a program to do this for new babies.
Why do I get the vibe of Clockwork Orange here?
If this could be like that, i might even consider having a kid someday 😂
I'm an introvert mom and this is so relatable 😢
You're literally the person who makes me funny the most 😂❤
Me for years. Overthinking that I'm not a good mom, and everything I do is causing them childhood trauma 🤣
As an introverted mom, I completely relate ❤
Hope your baby is healthy FJ❤️
loved the video😊
I felt the psyche damage fear one ;_;
Whats really fun is when they start to get invited to birthday parties and you have to find things to talk about with all the other parents you've never met before in a setting with oodles of stimulation. Yaaaay!!!
😂 always a good laugh! 🧡
👨👧👦😄 Hilarious comparison between a normal dad and an introvert dad with a toddler! So relatable! 🤣
Love it so MUCH.

2. Personalities in an Art Gallery
I love both these dads.
I love how the introvert dad is not normal lol

This introverted dad confirm the accuracy of this video 😂 the sheer amount of times I check maps to confirm if we can go or not due to the busyness is insane 😆

INFJ mom here with a 3y and a 5y kids and I have never felt more related to one of your videos before Frank well done. It´s a daily struggle but hey at least they introduced me to Bluey and I introduced them to pokemon and Star wars ;)
Both true true❤😂😂 love em up 🎉cause they grow quickly
Introvert dad is me as a mom, no joke 😂 except I never go to bed at 9pm 😂but I also don’t spend that time getting stuff done 🙃

As an introvert mom I fully identify with an introvert dad in this skit
As an ESFP mom, I can relate to the normal dad

My dad is the definition of an introvert dad lol.
All I can say is...YAAAAAAASSSSSSSS
You would be an amazing dad 😄
I wish we could see your cutie toddler 🥰
Totally identify with the introvert dad 😄
I've even done that with my dogs too 'just don't interact, act like you didn't see it' lol

Yep, introverts LOVE children
I was expecting the introverted dad to say he'd take a nap when the kid takes a nap.
I have an introvert father so this is pretty accurate.
The opposite of introverted is not "normal". It is extroverted. Introverts are just as normal as extroverts. Period.
People who form an identity around their introversion are *NOT* normal
I'd swap the "introvert" dad for "extrovert" so us introverts are normal 😁😁😁
😂🤣😂 I must be an introverted dad... Hopefully, my kids will survive the confusion.
That is so accurate 😂
INTj: If he's having that big of an issue with biting you, just keep a plastic bag of hot sauce in your pockets and dip your hand in when he looks like he's going to bite you. It will be a learning experience.
"Don't react." Calling out INXPs big time.

Hey since you said you were interested in making different content I watched a video from Marcus Jones “21 CZcams settings that f*ck small channels” and the very first tip really reminded me of you because I saw some of your newer videos being pushed out to subscribers of course but you probably want it to hit new audiences too.
