A good friend of mine recommended this song to me years ago and when I heard it I stood still and listened.. Then I played it again and again repeatedly on that day and I cried. My interpretation after all this I can't blame my father either as he had a tough life with all his faults. Like we all do. My dad was hard and tough. Now old and soft and I'm going to play it to him. This is the greatest song of my life across all genres as It touches me personally and I am not a soft person. Nothing else has before throughout my life or since. Just this one for me in Northern Ireland

I had the pleasure to see this great guitarist and storyteller for the second time last night, this time at The National Centre for Early Music in York, and both gigs goes on my all time favourite gig list. This is such a beautiful, moving and well written song. He truly paints pictures with his words and music.
