- in this video I unveil a new trigger shoe called the vex,talk a little bit about history with ranger proof gear, go over the design rationale and innovations for the new shoe and generally pontificate on triggers and such.
Update: just got this in and installed on my Glock 48 and holy shitballs. I thought I liked flat face triggers, but I think what I actually liked was the straight bar rather than the curve. This thing is insanely comfortable, and the new springs and connector vastly improve the feel of the trigger pull. I'll have to get out to the range and put a couple hundred rounds through it to verify, but so far I'm extremely pleased.
I just bought the vex kit for my EDC 43X MOS with spring kit . How do you like the spring kit ? And I didn’t get the connector but have a ghost connector . Wonder how the spring kit and ghost connector will be on my carry gun

Been holding off on buying the trigger upgrade, but I think this just pushed me over the edge. Can’t wait for it to go live.
I just started using their trigger shoes and it makes a lot of difference. I have 2 of the task force ranger shoes and it reduces the pre travel and just makes ur trigger more comfortable. I noticed right away that i shot better. The longer the travel the more time to move and throw ur shot. Also the comfort allow you to shoot more and is just a more enjoyable experience. I love the task force ranger but i think the jg vex is going to be even better. Your not changing any of the major components so this has no impact on the reliability ( this was very important to me ). Very easy to install as well
The "JG Vex" trigger shoe looks like a great improvement on previous iterations of aftermarket Glock trigger shoes and I look forward to owning one in the future. I really like your new design features. Thank you!

I personally shoot this trigger from Ranger Proof Gear, it’s the same trigger and I’m here to tell you from experience you won’t be disappointed if you get one.
I have the glock performance trigger with johnnys vex shoe and plus connector upgrade. The shoe is what makes the whole set up awesome in my opinion.
Never had any serious gripes with Glock triggers until i bought a Glock 48. Both the feel of the shoe and the pull were terrible. Saw this video and contacted Johnny Glocks to ask which version of the jg vex would work for me. Got a reply minutes later that either version would work but the set screw version was more user friendly but was out of stock. I replied that i would wait for it to be back in stock. At 6:35 the next morning i got a text that they were back in stock!!! I ordered and 5 days later recieved the shoe and springs. What a huge difference!
The gun is now fun to shoot. Top notch customer service and quality products!
So simple but completely revolutionary! Our fingers don’t bend at a perfect 90 degree angle, so most flat faced triggers don’t really mesh geometrically with the pads of our fingers. I think this design will not only feel better, it will provide better tactile response and repeatability. Cannot wait to try one!
It depends on a lot of things. The JGFF shoe is narrower than a lot of shoes. Longer fingers will be well suited to a flat shoe especially if the pad of your finger is what sits on the face of the shoe. . If you enter the trigger guard at an angle starting from the rear, the contour of the Vex will be better for you. The overtravel adjustment on the flat face shoe really shortens the reset, which I hope will be built into the Vex (which should be on the way shortly). face shoe really shortens the reset, which I hope will be built into the Vex (which should be on the way shortly). Love to have your feedback on something. Back in 2009 after lubing my G30 with the 3,2,1 method I decided to try something. I know Glocks like to run on the dry side so an engineer I worked for introduced me to Molybdenum disulfide powder and told me the benefit for machine parts and how it works on the molecular level. I knew about moly coating bullets and never did any of that but this was different. I stripped the weapon removed all the oil and used a mixture of molybdenum powder and 99% Isopropyl alcohol as a carrier. Then I lubed the gun same places with the 3,2,1 method and then wiped it all down like waxing a car. It did leave the parts a light grey but since its all on the inside you did not see it. I shot over a thousand rounds out of that gun dry with no malfunctions and always cleaned it and the grey color was burnished in but never went away. Became part of the metal. Plus was never even slightly gummy from gun oil on the rails. Thousand rounds is not that much but just curious if you ever heard of any one moly coating the parts of high friction on a Glock. It was explained to me most dry lubes Teflon based act like molecular ball bearings and under tremendous heat and pressure actually embed themselves and can fail to roll freely. Molybdenum is like flat slippery cards that under high pressure and heat slide on each other and don't embed. Porsche coats the inside of some of their engines during MFG. Its a different process than using as an oil additive. The proof is the Glock runs amazing after coating those parts the question is I have not run 20,000 rounds through it so maybe its not out of character for a Glock dry. I wipe it down with sleight oil for rust prevention.
This has been the hold up of getting a trigger shoe for me. I'm glad someone thought of this. Promise that you will make 10 million of them so they aren't out of stock everywhere we look haha

Hope I qualify for one of the new trigger shoes. I have a JG Flat face trigger that I don't like, prefer the rounded style which I have a JG modified OEM shoe.

Now this looks interesting. I like the task force ranger a lot but there is a couple things that could be improved......well you ve fixed the issues i had. The problem with most flat face triggers is the edges are kinda sharp and irritates your finger after shooting a bit. Also it doesn t conform to your finger enough. This JG Vex is more my style and has a thinner safety, slight curve ( to fit your finger more naturally ), and smoother edges just giving more overall comfort. I ll have to get one of these and review it on my channel.

I hated the jg flat face for slimlines. Took it off after a month. The safety protruded into the center of my finger because it didn't go all the way down to the bottom of the trigger. It would always be poking the center of my finger. Hopefully the vex safety bar is long enough that it doesn't do the same thing.

I use a RP trigger shoe in a 19x & 43x. Couldn't be happier with the drop in function & grippy feel of their WIDE flat face myself.
The changes you've made with the VEX are interesting for sure. I actually LIKE the feel of the safety & flat face.

I haven t tried any of the drop in triggers yet and would definitely like to review one of your combat triggers for my CZcams Channel. There are some good triggers out there but I ve heard yours is one of the best. I want to put that to the test

With the trigger shoe, how is this trigger shoe with maintaining all glocks parts and NOT installing what you send with the trigger shoe? I am considering this for my 43x MOS but I don’t want to change any of the internals. I don’t see any videos on CZcams simply with just installing the trigger shoe only and testing this at the range.

I actually purchased this trigger without the bar. So what I ordered was just the trigger shoe. I installed it and it shoots amazing. I took it to the range and it’s definitely really good. Maybe the bar may have made it shoot better but I chose at the time to not get it. Maybe I should have but it’s cool. I enjoy it the way it is. Cheers!

I have been using glocks since 1995. However I have always placed the NY1 trigger in them. The new trigger JG VEX was ordered but I found out that this trigger does not work in glocks with the ny1 trigger...........oh well

Trigger feels great but 150 rounds in the set screw for the safety blade walked out and now I’m here without a usable trigger
Is frame scrape normal for these shoes? I've had mine for a bit, probably 300-500 rds thru it and notice there is some scraping on the frame.

What is the difference between JG convex trigger vs the JG glock performance trigger? And which one would be best for the stock glock trigger bar and connector
Any chance of getting one gold TiCN coated? I did the Cross (their gen 5 slide stop is ACTUALLY gen 5 specific) 3 piece “bling kit” in TiCN gold. It has stainless pins, mag release, and slide stop all gold. Got a gold TiCN coated oem glock extended slide release and this shoe would look perfect in gold with the safety staying black. I also have a SilencerCo threaded barrel and would like to get it coated…but it’s perfect as is and don’t want to fuck it up.
