    I just wanted to let people know I fixed the binary fire problem with my timney by using a lone wolf housing that let's me limit over travel.

    • @5jjt
      @5jjt Před rokem +1

      How's the sear engagement? I hope the overtravel housing isn't a bandaid, but is an actual fix.
      Connector choice seems to be at ay too in terms of overtravel. This man's connector had to be changed more than twice.
      Lot's of factors, so please check your engagement for your safety.
      I had a 22lr conversion that doubled on me while using the Timney. I noticed that the Timney is on the lower end of engagement.

    • @johnp9402
      @johnp9402 Před rokem

      @@5jjt the sear engagement is good. It was only when I let the trigger reset very very slowly. There was something happening in that moment at the full rear travel on cruciform but the over travel screw stops it from going all the way back. Once I adjusted the overtravel screw I tried and tried to make it malfunction but it's good now

    • @Magneticitist
      @Magneticitist Před rokem +1

      @@johnp9402 This is common with how some tolerances work out.. the moment of slow reset can sometimes cause the sear to drop down a tad as it resets. You can watch the sear engagement from the back as the slide drops to see where it rests with the trigger fully depressed, then as you let it reset, if it wants to pop down a bit to where the engagement is just barely hanging on, it can easily double tap or even go full auto. If anything the trigger needs to fully come back forward in order for the engagement to be acceptable again in such situations. Not odd to get a trigger where the first pull is rough but then follow up shots staging the reset will be super light. Dangerous though.. can feel solid, then one day seemingly will just unexpectedly fire when slowly resetting.

    I would like your alpha kit, I’m confident I can install it the way it should be done, the timney is great, but the over travel sucks, reset gets weak, it’s marring my striker and the cruciform even after a good polish but better. 2.1-2.2 lbs pull all day, 1k rds at least, your new shoe looks like what it needs! Now they have a striker and connector to go with the alpha kit.

    Just wondering why you don't record your videos in landscape mode? It would make it much easier for us the viewers to see what you're doing without having to zoom in or watch on a 10 inch or larger screen?? All you have to do is simply hold the phone sideways which would allow you to prop it up against things as well in the instances where you`re filming by yourself.... besides that I think that your videos are without question the best there is when it comes to Glock education!

    If you like to run your Glock a little wet be sure and clean it often and even better after every range trip or competition. It's really quick and easy if you don't let the gunk build up like in this video or worse, disassemble - clean with degreaser - wipe down - re lube.

    Johnny, random question, can you foresee the Glock Stiker Control Device weakening the striker, where the lug connects to the body, by the stiker being constantly battered under recoil by the device.
