    In order to view your own Admission file if you are currently a student at U of M, all you have to do is email RO.FERPA.Request@umich.edu and ask them to view your file. They should respond within a few days (if not sooner) and allow you to make a time for your meeting. Hope this helps!

    On their website, they like clarify how they grade, outstanding is the highest, excellent is right under. also, wish me luck, bc I’m applying and it’s my dream school!!!

    It's your student information. The school is just trying to avoid admissions files ending up as evidence in lawsuits against the school. That is totally calculated.

    Idk how much things have changed since I went there like 10 yrs ago, but I was accepted as a sophomore transfer student from a different 4-year university (I didn’t apply out of high school).
    I had a 3.7 unweighted high school GPA (with a 3.5 avg my first 2 years and a 4.0 my final 2 years). I had a 4.0 during my first semester of college, when I submitted my application.
    I honestly didn’t do that many extracurriculars in HS. I did track for a year, golf for a year, and equestrian team for another year. I was also in key club. I took 2-3 honors classes and 2 AP classes.
    Oh, and I only scored a 28 on the ACT.
    I didn’t submit SAT scores-I technically took the exam but had a fever on that day and gave up about halfway through 🙃
    Other details: I was in-state but had no connections to U of M. I went to a public high school with a pretty good academic reputation. My lowest grade in HS was somewhere in the range of a C, in honors biology-during my freshman year.

    The ranking system is actually 1-15 with 1 being the best.

    My daughter is goin to a university and is in 1st yr. And will be leaving for good soon. But wants to take a class at Western. Would they allow her to do that?

      Absolutely. Just make the sure that the credits transfer to the university and she’ll be all good 👍

    Thanks for the video :) one question do you think taking the sat functions as compensation for a b? :))

    • @katehsia
      @katehsia Před 5 měsíci

      I'm not entirely sure but I feel like, for instance, if you got a b in math but then did really well on the math section of the SAT, that could act as some sort of compensation.

    I got a E in online health because I was unaware I even had that class and a C+ in ap physics how much will this impact my admission?

    • @PinkSweatshirtGuy
      @PinkSweatshirtGuy  Před 2 lety +5

      That's definitely not ideal. Your C+ in AP Physics is probably quite similar to mine in chem, but I would definitely try to explain somewhere what happened with Online Health. It's not a core class that they will care a bunch about, but an E is not a grade they will like to see on a transcript without a strong explanation. Good luck!

    • @maximilienrobespierre7595
      @maximilienrobespierre7595 Před 2 lety +1

      @@PinkSweatshirtGuy I got that E in my first semester of 9th grade but then I got a A in my second semester. I took health again in my sophomore year for one semester and got another A. Will this substantial hop be enough to extenuate my E? I don't think saying that I wasn't aware of that I had that class is a good explanation. They could say that I should've double check and ask a staff, which is definitely true. However, the reason why I didn't ask anyone is because it was online and I receive absolutely zero assistance, guidance, and monitoring. There also wasn't a single zoom meeting for that class.

    • @maximilienrobespierre7595
      @maximilienrobespierre7595 Před 2 lety

      So I basically just assumed it wasn't a required class :(

    • @PinkSweatshirtGuy
      @PinkSweatshirtGuy  Před 2 lety +1

      @@maximilienrobespierre7595 I think even just saying that, is better than just letting the E sit there with no explanation. The fact that it was freshmen year and you easily recovered a semester later should be more than enough (in my opinion) to make any realistic admissions officer understand.
