So much variety in DD wheels these days. Still cant afford any of them 😭

Would just like to say I think it's lovely that when the wheel and base turned up at your house you did the hospitable thing and sat them on the sofa. I'd like to think you put the kettle on too.
I really had to get to know the wheel and the first step was making it feel as comfy as possible...you know the deal 😂 - thanks for watching!
@@TheCarDoc1 Ha suddenly casting couch. Yeah was a good video, I'm glad they sent you the wheel. Thanks 👍
@@TheCarDoc1 you sneaky ba*^ard!
I love the look of the wheel, the motor cover looks sick🔥, great video man :)
The first thing I thought about is how the wheel is round and would work better for drifting than some wheels. I ended up buying a 3d printed adapter and I run some cheap Amazon steering wheels on my TSPC. I have been tossing the idea around about getting a DD base or upgrading my VR.
For Australian customers, a Moza R9 will be a much better pick for price. Also local vendors means warrenty claims will be less of a headache
Yeah cammus need distribution if they're going to be successful
Cammus is absolutely trash.
@@randomchannel323 I actually approached Cammus about Aus distribution. The problem is the margins aren't there for an Aus reseller unless they can sell volume that really isn't possible (given how many contenders are in the price bracket now).
@@MrSwiftResponse Yeah simracing is already a niche market with already established big players
@@randomchannel323 I would have loved to do it. It'd be so cool to have a business in something I enjoy so much, but I couldn't reconcile the fact I was likely to lose money and have half a shipping container of Cammus products I couldn't sell for enough to recoup cost.
thanks for this review, considering this one as my first dd wheel upgrading from t150
You wont go wrong, ive actually replaced my Fanatec with this for now! 🙃
Great video dude. Very professionally done.
I was kind of hoping the wheel wouldn't specifically be so expensive, but really I think this is a great package. It is competitive with the fanatec CSL-DD while providing nearly double the max torque. While it's not as cheap as I was generally hoping for, I am glad to see some more competition in the space.
Hey bro, check out the Moza Racing it is the cheapest DD wheel that you will find and it is supposed to be very high quality, a competitor with Fanatec atm!
It seems too go to be true, until you add to cart and see that the shipping cost makes the whole thing actually more than a CSL DD or Moza R9.
Agreed, Cammus is a joke. I would never advertise this brand to the sim racing community.
@@MDaDonLegacy What the hell. You're a joke mate. What you shouldn't do is make comments like that.
You can buy this base from many distributors. It is NOT exclusive to their store like the Logitech DD wheel.
If the store you picked has high shipping costs that just means you lack the ability to find a decent shop for sim hardware in your region. Heck, why not write a message to your favorite shop if they want to sell it too or wait until stores stocked up?
They teach basic IT skills like browsing the internet to kids these days - don't be rude on the internet because you don't know how to do simple stuff like this.

Shipping costs? Can't find a store lol?
It's hard to understand what you're attempting to say.
I have 0 issues finding Sim gear. I have a G920 & G923 for my twin boys, a tmx with upgraded bearing and tensioner mod for my wife plus I just received my Moza R9. All 4 wheels mounted on metal cockpits, with Dayton Transducers, Dash hub and VR on all the rigs. 3 rtx's 3070 and my 3080. 😆 😆
If I'm the joke. I feel bad for you.

Exellent review!! I do like it
Awesome review for a less-known product. I like the dual screen segment. How do you compare this to T300RS?- Is wheel base that much of an impact? Any feedback on the pedals?

keep it up mate
not the 'cheaper' that most people would agree with for an accessory for only a handful of games... some usually need a lot of messing about in settings for a few days with possible screaming frustrations before actually enjoying a game 🙂
Good video, it looks a solid setup, do the pedals seem reliable? most gears seem loud from what i saw so far, im sure they can all make better tbh !
A shame they (probaby) dont do a small choice of color stitch, it does look good but i always preferred the blue, it seemed less intrusive yet still noticeable... but not in my budget atm so no bother.
Granted, yes, a "handful of games", but the people that buy these things play those games enough that it justifies the price. I already have spent well over 1,000 hours in various sim games, and it would be probably a few thousand more if I had a proper setup.
The wheel itself is a £35 aliexpress wheel, I have one right here, its awesome for the money, use it on my Fanatec DD (with an adapter)
Did yall see that PXN has a direct drive wheel in China its called PXN V12 its about 10NM and sales for $550 I believe. I just wonder when it will release here in the states. By the way great video man just earned a new subscriber.
I purchased the PXN V12 CW yesterday so it’s here in the US. It’s appearance is quite thrilling to say the least. Carbon fiber magnetic dual shifters and a quick release that’s designed with ball bearing construction anodized aluminum collar. Leather wrapped wheel feels quality and the red stitching is stunning. The DD also has a brilliant finish and the feel is stout and built quality seems to be on par. The real test will be when I get it all up and running. I really hope that this package delivers because we need some competition out there. I paid $899.00 for the wheel and DD unit.
hi buddy nice video, but you didnt review the pedals sir? what do they look like? are there 3 or 2?
Someday I will get a direct drive wheel but my g29 setup that is bolted to a setup that uses a 92 eclipse seat on a rig of welded together pieces of computer desk and futon from will work for now.
Well that wheel looks similar like my GT86 wheel, And personally its the perfect size and shape for me
Could i use this wheel base with the thrustmaster tlcm pedals and t300 wheel rim
i was thinking about simagic but it is a bit out of budget for me and now im really interested in this one
Honestly bro save and go simagic
I’ve used csl dd, cammus, moza r9, alpha and alpha mini
The alphas stand out in fine detail
Fine detail that was even there on a belt driven clubsport 2.5 is missing on the cammus
The moza is better than the cammus for fine detail too but not near as good as the alpha mini
With today's wheel prices, my old plain joystick will have to do for now with ETS2
I love the larger wheel, and the extra buttons on the base. I am not a fan of race sims, but I am looking for something like this for ETS 2. Larger wheel for a truck, nice accessible buttons on base that are fit for a truck... this may be what I am looking for.
You can always put a bigger wheel.on your existing rim
A DD wheel would be massive overkill for ETS. Like using an Elephant Gun to hunt squirrels. Don't do it.
This is amazing! Is it compatible with Xbox though?
the fact the website is made on wordpress and they didnt even bother to change the tab icon is enough for me to say no.
Not available in the UK?
if you can use it with the logitech shifter an peddles i might consider it since i have my ow quickrelease setup
you can, logitech just released (this week £35quid) a USB hub to convert G920. G29 Gear shifter and pedals to its own USB hub to plug directly into PC USB for PC only use
Never heard of them..But I have now...Nice....!
Cheap garbage brand, paid review.
5:59 "found settings that suited my driving style" *massive understeer*
That's actually a really great price range
please tell the price at the begining to save time thx xD
6:19 - pricings
When will they make one with a turn signal
What track/map was he sliding on?
underrated
I completely agree
The buttons on the wheels looks like M&Ms
they only miss one part before I would be ready to swap out my G27 for this one, and that is a H-pattern gearlever.
Just buy an appropriate USB adapter for your G27 shifter and you're ready to go. You can also buy the one from Thrustmaster or Fanatec.
@@dewides that's true. but the problem with my G27 shifter is that third gear is about to give out completely from way too much use.
the thurustmaster one could be an idea and it has a sequential "mode" where you just switch the top plate to make it work as a sequential instead which is cool but the feel really isn't there. the H pattern one feels good tho.
the fanatec shifter is the best shifter I have ever tried but it is really quite expensive. so if they made their own h-pattern shifter that can be converted into sequential would be ideal but as you say, it can easily be done in a different way which is nice.
but I still have some work left to do in my house to get the room ready for my computer and a home made sim rig but this might be the answer. their DD wheel and either the fanatec or the thrustmaster shifter.
Shifters look to be magnetic if I am not mistaken, that's why they are so clicky.
he said that in the video
Pick yourself up the handbrake from Amazon from the bootleg looking company. I got the one thats bundled with the H shifter box and with a bit of tinkering. they're both fantastic.
You mean you don´t spend much time in the grass, "of course" or "off course"? Nice review, thanks!
So the base+wheel+pedals costs like $400 less than the new Logitech DD... and it has 4 Nm more torque... I´d love it to be PS5 compatible
Yes but it is also from a unknown company from Asia, so if somethings wrong you wont find alot of help
can it hold up with fantech
how much is it...? took that long to mention a price i never got to it.
The Fanatec's quick release is the same, how can it be worse?? You just pull on the thing behind the wheel and it just comes off
Idk why wheel companies like to have a very clicky and loud paddle shifters. Why not just add a little tactile feel to it without a clicking noise, its annoying hearing those midnight.
Is this compatible for PlayStation??
How noticeable was the increase in torque?
Very very noticeable, it feels like double! I used my csl dd on max, whereas I use this at 70% ish 😀
Seems like an absolute bargain. You say you dont need to use a Cammus wheel? Can you use Fanatic rims on it?
Does it work on consoles?
This wheel is absolutely garbage. End of story.
$499 + 100 shipping for base only right now. Compelling price for a 15nm DD, however software support and the like is really questionable. May be worth spending the extra cash for a known brand.
is to the point, i like it
Nice fanatec rep xD
What about shipping costs? What about warranty? What about spare parts and service points? Last time i bought a product designed and manufactured in China, i had none of those and it sucked because Chinese products have a very very short lifespan.
Is it for Consoles???
Link sends me to their electric kart and some bs aircon controller unit😂
Dose it work on Ps4?
so you can use other wheels on this base? do you need a special adapter?
yes. any aftermarket wheel of any size with 70mm hole pattern. theres even a fanatec mclaren gt3 V2 with USB that works on it.
The only "adapter" you *could* need is a 10 (or 11?)-ball/pin with 70mm hole spacing quick release adapter if you want to quickly change between two (or more) steering wheels, but otherwise you can screw a steering wheel directly to the wheelbase's shaft
its work on XBOX S[X Or PS5 ?
I want to buy one so bad , but the shipping cost is too much for me
Just checked delivery to the UK.... $250 ouch. Guess there will be import duty on top as well!
Do not buy this wheel. It's trash. Buy Moza.
@@mattshiz only VAT to pay at 20%
im sorry but i didnt listen to a word you said. i was just vibing to the music
So can you use different wheel rims on it besides the Cammus rims?
Yes thats correct :)
The cammus has poor fine detail compared to a alpha mini
The alpha mini is the best bang for buck, I’ve use moza r9, csl dd, cammus and alpha mini
They are all very similar but the mini stands out for fine detail, some of the fine detail feels like it is completely missing on the cammus
Why does the thumbnail say too cheap WHILE ITS LITERALLY 1000$?!
I sold my csl dd when i got my cammus too. The shifters are noisy but quieter than the McLaren (but i love both rims)
Agreed! Do you have the GT1 of the f1 style rim?
@@TheCarDoc1 gt1 but both cammus wheels use the same button plate i believe. The f1 rim is only a new addition and wasn't available last year when i ordered. Anyone buying a wheel from cammus should opt for the f1 rim, and get a cheap round rim to swap out when needed (its harder to find cheap open wheel rims)
anybody wondering; discount prices atm: 500 for the base and 200 for the shown wheel.
normally 900 and 300
yes even in discount that's more than the total of my budget build gaming pc.
what does cheap mean these days?
Direct Drive wheels are like $2k so this is half the price
@@philspaghet I guess it's cheaper to play with my real car after all than ;)
@@pear7869 nope. If you're going to the track your car needs a lot of preparation and track expenses. $200 for a track day, $200 for track worthy brake pads, $40 for dot 4 brake fluid, $800 for 200tw tires, $40 for oil change afterwards, it all adds up so even a normal direct drive setup is less expensive than going to a track day. But if you want to save money, you can get a Logitech G29 for $310 and call it a day. Direct drive wheels are pro grade gear usually. You don't need to go that far.
@@philspaghet i was more thinking of drifting after work on empty lot.. 2k would get me some nice car parts
heck you could even buy a beater and throw on an ebay turbo kit
cant find it on the link provided
bro that buttons ar looking like simon says
I would not say 500 USD is cheap since you do not get pedals included
Can you compare it to the Logitech Direct Drive Wheel?
I have the cammus wheelbase/wheel/pedals, csl dd 8Nm, and logitech DD with pedals still in the box. I can confirm my csl dd 8Nm and V3 pedals feels like a toy now compared to this cammus wheel and pedals. I will test drive the logi DD sometimes next week.
I guess the question is R5 or this? Any ideas?
I wouldn't really compare a 5nm base to a 15nm base
@@danielfischer5800 The Fanatec CSL DD, Moza R5, and this wheel are in a somewhat similar price range so I think its a fair comparison. There's more to compare then the force it puts out.
Looks great but would you need to instal spyware from china?
$900USD plus $150 shipping doesn't seem like such a great price
For that much, might as well go with Fanatec.
From $899.00 to $499.00.. Imagine how much they were scamming before the price drop
Got mine in this week for $1004 with pedals shipped within 3 weeks. Could have been $950 with 10% coupon instead of 5%. My csl dd 8Nm and V3 pedals feel like toy now and overpriced piece of junk. I need to get rid of it without too much loss.😁
Literally every single CZcamsr who is reviewing this base, says something in the line of "they sent me the base for free, but I give you my own and true opinion"....so I wonder if that's maybe something Cammus tells everyone to say. Another thing I've noticed is that in the earlier reviews basically everyone said that the FFB to damped down. In the later ones, reviewers say that the FFB is very good,...so I thought that you maybe run an updated software version,...but you don't (you run 1.3.37). This is the problem with this reviews. We as customers who have to spend our own money on those products, just don't know who we can trust. Even though this wheelbase is on the more affordable side of things, it's still a huge investment for some people. I wish youtubers would just be honest,...but it is how it is. If youtubers say something bad about a product, the companies will avoid them in the future,...and they will miss out (not only on free products) but also on future content, so they rather screw over their own audience. So I take everything I hear with a huge grain of salt,...like a very heavy grain of salt,...5lbs or so...Will from Boosted Media mentioned in a comment that it happens allot that companies offer him something for a good review, but that he "always refuses"...
It's only $700 for that spec.
You can get a cheaper wheel and make it $550 . . .
Oh, and those are SALE PRICES at just ower 50% Off!!!
2.48 i'd like to annoy ppl lmao
Why does everyone mispronounce Fanatec? It's not Fan-a-tec, it's Fa-na-tec. It's a play on fanatic. Here's Fanatic, I mean Fanatec, pronouncing the name of their company:

Way to high price for china wheel, 250 for base and 150 for wheel and 100 pedals or so would open some door for a newcomer out of China where labor is so low, they would still make a huge profit. What are the prices in China for this product? That is the real question!
