In this easy tutorial I’ll be showing you how to trim a Yorkshire terrier’s face. This is a simple but cute way to cut your dog’s face at hone too. For this you will need your 5 in 1 clipper or your regular clipper with you 10 and 40 blade, your curved scissors, straight scissors and blending shears, also a comb and brush. We use the 40 blade to clip the inner part of the tip of the ear and the 10 blade to clip the outer part.
This video is great, but if you are not professionally trained, please do not use a 40 blade to clean out your dog's eyes, or even to shave the inside of their ears. I am a professional groomer who has been grooming for about 5 years.....I do not use a 40 blade to clean out a dog's eyes even. I use a 10, it is the safest blade. You can cut a dog very easily with anything shorter than a 10 blade.

My dog is sooo squirmy and jumpy he never stays still... only sometimes which is a surprise when it happens. I think he is scared of the tools. He has no problem in the bath

He is adorable! Nancy, there is no pressure around the trachea at all. I do this to perk up the ears and see if I have to take the hair around shorter or not. I don’t choke him at all.

Is there a need to tug on this poor baby’s chin fur that hard? Jesus! I couldn’t even keep watching after 3 minutes! I groom my yorkie at home and he’s super hyper but I DO NOT grab him rough like this! This is a reason I do it myself bc i don’t trust ppl roughing up my pup like this!

I can’t get my yorkie to keep still. He’s very sensitive and I’m afraid i might hurt him 😭 how do i get to calm him down when grooming him? Any advice? 😩
Try with someone holding him. Some dogs are just too hyper and you have to be calm and patient to work with them. sometimes takes a little bit longer. Best of luck!
Give him to a groomer.. The cutting around the ears is nerve wrecking 😂😂

@@linatoka9927 me too, and my Yorky just lost an eye I over Thanksgiving so I don’t want to hurt any of his extra senses he uses to get around
I am sorry about your yorkie. I was trained to trim hair and wiskers. All the dogs I groom are fine and have not lost their senses. I hope this helps.
