Hi I did get 3 mangos that dropped a week ago. They were over 2 lbs The taste was so so. Still in a 15 gallon pot and will be putting it in the ground. Do you think the taste will get better? Considering selling it maybe? Valencia pride tasted much better and so did lemon zest. Do you think it was to young? Also I was told they would be ready in August or Sept? Mine let them go now. Have you picked yours? Thanks for any advice.

Good Evening Rick, sorry for the late response but when you get a mango tree in pots there, not enough in Nutrients for the mango tree to get to develop the mangoes. That’s the reason why the mango fell off from the tree. ..you put them in the ground and the tree will get more nutrients and mature ..the mango will taste better But still don’t get me wrong Valencia pride is a very tasty mango and also Lacentilla got a Lotta good different taste about five different taste but you Gotta make sure the tree is mature enough and at least weighs get 3 1/2 to 5 pounds then the mango is OK to harvest around October..And don’t get rid of it.Give it a chance put it in the ground all right. Thank you have a good night. 😊

Hello. I got 3 mangos this year that I picked Aug 1st. I'm very very happy. You described the taste perfect. Almost sweet flowery at parts. Sweet sour orange in other and very sweet by the skin. Was discouraged after last year when they fell and were bitter in late June. What a difference a year made. I'm going to put it in the ground now since I know I'm keeping it. I really enjoyed it. Would put it up there with a Valencia pride but even bigger. Mine was 3lbs, 4lbs and 4 lbs. This variety doesn't get enough credit. Read alot about this saying it's only a fair flavor and not worth the space. Not true at all. And mine was in a 15 gallon pot. Will do much better in the ground. Thanks!

Awesome looking mangos! I hought valencia prides were big but wow! How old is the tree? What state is it growing in? I gotta get one! Thanks for posting. Of why is there bags over some of those mangos.

The tree is five years old and grafted and it is a semi dwarf. I live in Clermont Florida. The bags are over the mangoes because sometimes the mangoes can be ready and they drop so the bags get them. Thank You for Replying! Stay Tuned I harvested the rest of the mangoes in the next video.

@@gsgarden6909 Well since I left my first comment I did buy a Lancetila that is close to 7 feet tall in a 15 gallon pot. After seeing your video it made me have to have one. This large one is the only one I could find. Looks like it might flower next year! Will watch for your video about this tree. Not really that many on here about the lancetilla. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos and post them. Your garden looks awesome.

@@gsgarden6909 It is a grafted. Im in Central Florida and Im hoping for it to flower this winter? Its close to seven feet tall. Also bought a Mallika and a Valencia pride that are smaller. Re potted them into 7 gallon pots. The Lancentila was re potted into a 15 gallon pot. They will go into the ground this spring.

@@gsgarden6909 The Lancentlia did shoot out two flower pinnacles. Has some babies on them about as big as little grapes. Keeping my fingers crossed.
