- First time fishing out at St Augustine Pier. We caught whiting, Pompano, Stringray, and what I thought was a baby Grouper. If you missed it in the video, be careful when casting out on the south side. If you cast too far, greater than 25 feet, then it is possible you will get hung up on the old pier as I did. First time trying Stringray liver.

Nice nice .. ❤️🎣🐠🐟👍
Great Multi species catches. Nice look pier in St Augustine
We had to move to the St Augustine Pier because the Flagler pier was knocked down, the end of it, by the hurricane. Because of that they closed the entire pier. They are supposed to build it again but it will probably be a couple of years. 😉
Looked like a banded wrasse you caught, pretty rare catch!
Thanks for watching!
Great catches. I will be visiting St Augustine in 3 weeks. I'll be sure to stop by this pier.
Our next video is fishing off the St. Augustine Pier. It is not a large pier but decent enough. I like the very end but so do a lot of others. If you have time Matanza bridge/inlet is a great place as well but tends to get busy quick. Matanza bridge is about 10 miles south of the pier but either go early or mid afternoon to get spots prior to Anglers coming. Good Luck and thanks for watching!
Im going tomorrow
Thank you for watching! Have you already went? If you did, how was the fishing?
Where did you get the live shrimp
Hammock Bait and Tackle. This time of year it seems it is better to get them early or later in the afternoon. If you go around 11, 12 etc... it seems they are out.
What are y’all using to catch the whiting?
Usually we use just live shrimp but you can get them off dead shrimp as well.
what bait for the pompanos?
We just used live Shrimp! Shrimp is hit-and-miss now with the warmer weather. Shrimp tends to be smaller when it is warmer and that is especially true on the gulf side. On the Atlantic side, you can get some decent size shrimp but still smaller than in the winter months.
