    C'mon ... just sub and help a brother out:
    bit.ly/3eB0cnd
    #Honda always had a fairly simple lineup, with the #Accord being a staple in their sedan offerings. This 8th gen #HondaAccord is a good example of what you can expect if you decide to pick one of these up. So is it worth getting an older #Accord ? Or should you look at the competition like the #Toyota #Camry or #Nissan #Altima ?

      Ours is the same model, only we are the original owners and ours only has 90,000 miles on it. It’s been a great car and I’ve done all of the maintenance: oil changes, brakes and break fluid, power steering fluid, coolant drain and fill as well as transmission drain and fills. We just can’t part with it because it’s been so reliable and trouble free.

    Hey there! Just test drove one of these the other day. Mind telling me if the brake pedal on this is on the softer side. The car stopped fine but it seemed less firm and touchy than ones Ive used in the past. Also, is the shifting pretty noticeable through the first 2 or 3 gears? Cause it didn't seem like it was slipping but the shifts were noticeable. No idea if you'll even see this lol but I just wanted to throw it out there anyway!

    • @ObsessedAutoReviews
      @ObsessedAutoReviews  Před 3 lety +1

      Hello! I hope I can help!
      Brake pedal: be sure pads and rotors are in good condition, brake fluid has been changed, no air in the brake lines. Aside from that mine has never been crazy sensitive unless brand new parts.
      Shifting: For me, it changes at an average speed, not the quickest but shouldn't be taking abnormal amounts of time to shift. Transmission fluid changes help from what I hear.
      Aside from that I would encourage you to get a private inspection from your mechanic to double check. Thanks for watching!

    I bought my ‘08 Honda Accord EX-L as a secondary vehicle for $3400 earlier this year. It has 223k miles but has been well cared for both maintenance and exterior/interior. I like that it has the 2.4 engine and it’s been solid. My only gripe is my Honda has the popping noise in the steering column when I turn sometimes which was an issue but not a safety hazard, not a big deal if I absolutely wanted to I could replace it since I have the part number. These are great cars for a secondary vehicle or maybe a teenager that just got a license.

    • @wreckagevic
      @wreckagevic Před měsícem

      @@chadthecreative two things to look for when you find one, the popping noise in the steering column I mentioned isn’t a safety hazard, I had my local Honda dealership look and confirm it’s just an annoyance and people who had the warranty years ago had it replaced for free but everyone else wasn’t covered and another thing is with the AC system, it makes a chirp noise because under the glove box on the passenger side they didn’t place a cover over the blower motor but it caused enough stir that they made the part available for purchase and Amazon has it for $70 and it definitely cancels out the noise. If you find one it’ll last, very reliable these Hondas are.

    Replaced factory radio with 10 inch android unit
    Full black "leather " seat covers
    Leather honda arm padding for centre storage console
    Replaced those same alloy wheel covers with a black, sporty version. As you said, looks like an actual rim... But cost $44...yeah
    Replaced stock grill with a black fully badgeless grill
    3rd party angel wing LED taillights, which I tinted black
    Full LED 3rd party headlights (now looks like modern Acura lights, with superior performance... The lights actually have a welcome sequence that you won't find on any car on the road... Beautiful!
    Black face mask
    Upgraded Sound system, of course
    Replaced stock rear view mirror with a digital mirror dash cam, rear facing camera feed so I can see the whole road behind me. Lots of awe when people see that!
    Black weather guards on each window for a more stealth look.
    Just need to bite the bullet and get a new paint job ( my car is blue) and get rid of rust spots and dings here and there... But living in ny I'm hesitant to get a paint job where people play bumper cars with your shit in order to park.

      I, personally, would pick the 09 Accord over a 2011 Civic. If the Accord is a 4 cylinder, than you really can't go wrong with either. The V6 Accords are more fun and faster but less fuel efficient and a little more maintenance. Of course pick what you like best because the Accord may be a little more expensive. But if you want to spend as little money as possible, the civic is a great choice too. Don't forget to get inspections done regardless of which you buy. Thanks for watching!
