- Pingyao Ancient City (600 km southwest of Beijing) is China’s most well-preserved city and it is truly a labyrinth of history with the first modern bank of China, China's best-preserved town wall, , an ancient martial arts bodyguard shop and temples full of fascinating class sculptures and much more.

Sooooo interesting Noah 👍🏾
I feel the same way about Anthony Bourdain. He's the GOAT. His medium was cuisine but it was his means to understand the world and its people. Love how he said, "Chinese food is the mother of all cuisines. Even if you've never had Chinese food, you've had Chinese food." And this was coming from a French chef!
RIP
作为一个平遥人,我很高兴你能宣传我的家乡!❤

Ancient 🇨🇳❤️
I would love to visit in December. Would it be difficult for non Chinese speakers?
It might be. For me that’s just part of the adventure! Otherwise, I’d recommend getting an English speaking tour guide. You should be able to find one pretty easily through searching online.
