In yellow it looks like a cheap and cheesy Mansory tuned Porsche. Maybe in silver, but it's far worse looking than a V10 mid engined supercar built in Italy.

It's just amazing how much traction the gt2rs has with 691 bhp and rear wheel drive. Complete efficiency. I guess the only way to make it quicker is to keep all the technological advancements and drop weight.
Would be even more if it had the same tires as the Lambo.
Porsche uses special Cup2 Tyres for their Record Car. I guess they are equal;)

The 911 gt2 RS is one of the coolest cars in the past 10 years. Not saying the huracan isn’t impressive, it is, especially it’s aero system but the 911 puts nearly 700hp down on just two driven wheels.

Plus, The Sound, The design, The drama, the interior, THE V10!! Man, its just more of my stile!! People in the coments are just like "ah, its slowest, blá-blá-blá"... Man, just have fun!!

the power difference is enormous.
the gt2rs finishes at 209kmh,
the huracan at 197kmh.
seen over a whole laps it becomes pretty clear, why the porsche is ahead.
downforce should be neglectable since it's a rather slow track.
so it's mostly about power/weight and mechanical grip.
xI2aiizza what? the downforce is THE most important factor on this track..and pretty much every "slow" track.
Porsche is faster mostly due to traction and downforce..those two simply give it a much greater speed on the corner exit which it can then carry on through the straights.
+darko sam well, traction consists of more than downforce, e.g. tires, weight, suspension etc.

Hmm from these results of the Huracan beating the 918, the Nurburgring lap time seems to be real.
so these 3 notarys do know something about cars? can they measure how much bhp the car had? Their job was to read a clock. You could even batch a race car with a gt2 rs badge and they wouldn't get it. At the end it means nothing if you think about it.

The PDK shifter didn't look like it was in sport +mode? IIRC the PDK shifter locks to the left rather than central??

Possibly, possibly not. In Sport+ the transmission can be so abrupt and aggressive that on a smaller track or certainly a gymkana, it can upset the chassis. Although I really didn't run into it so much with my car.

That GT2 RS is an incredible piece of engineering. But I still think that the Performante looks better, sounds better and it's nearly as quick. Great video. Very exciting stuff.

Porsche is way better then any car manufacturer out there...they keep confirming this since the 918 which murdered track focused cars like the P1 and LaFerrari on the track despite being less powerfull and having a lot more weight..
futmut1000 actually p1 did beat 918 on many tracks. Some tracks p1 is faster and others 918 is. And they are not track focused. The p1 gtr and fxxk are track focused.

Nice test. I wish they were on even terms. The Huracan had a full roll cage which probably added at least 75-100 lbs although I do believe that the GT2 RS would still be quicker.

The GT2RS lap seemed much more committed by the driver in the curve exits...in the lambo it looked like it could go sooner in the accelerator in some curves..and it did not...in the GT2..he was taking it further...

Point is that the special active aerodinamics of the gallardo, would give him an advantage on the straight line if on a launched lap, not from stand still.In any case any test done by a German magazine with a Porsche on it its not to be taken very seriously.
And before you use your small brain to retort with some shit, yes I am aware the 911 GT2 its faster. Clearly. But the conditions of this test were clearly made to exaggerate how much faster it is.Because its done by German people. With a squared shaped head and a big ego.
You are right.Still this is short Hockenheim, straight its not very long.Not even 200kmh with such fast cars.That benefits the 911, being lighter and RWD. On a longer faster circuit would be closer. 2 seconds on such a small circuit is way too much. On An enormous circuit like Nurburgring its less than 5.
That same AWD and the weight penalize the Lambo on a smaller circuit.The power advantage is less important than the Active aero of the Lambo on the straights.If on Nurburgring the diference is comparatively a lot smaller that means that on quick corners and significant straights the Lambo is faster than on a circuit where active aero has a lot less importance because you don't surpass 200 kmh.
Also the advantage of the AWD its somewhat erased by the Rear Engine configuration of the GT2 RS that gives it superp traction without need for AWD, but that same configuration will undoubtely make it less stable at higher speeds no mather which kind of magic pulls with it.
Stupid question: Why does the driver in the Huracan shift manually (and even over-revs after the start) and the driver in the GT2 RS shifts automatically (PDK)? This is ridiculous, the Huracan would achieve a better time in auto mode and without that over-revving.

Not sure if I'm the only one to notice this, but the driver brakes too early in the Huracan. Not saying it's intentional, but it does mean that the Performante's aero party piece isn't fully utilised. Also this particular Performante is fitted with a roll cage, the Porsche isn't. Roll cages are heavy, in fact in the early days of motorsport teams would make mock-cages from cardboard to save weight. Point is there's no way the Porsche is 2 seconds faster.
Just putting this observation out there: In one straightaway the LP reached 213kph while the GT2 RS reached 221kph... the GT2 is notoriously faster.

GT2 RS is mindblowing and I would take it over the Performante but what impressed me most about this video is the fact the AMG GT-R is only a tenth slower from the 918!!! I honestly look at this in disbelief...

Can't help thinking tyres were a big factor here. The Performante lost loads of time in the turns when the front end just refused to turn in. 2 seconds is a big gap over such a short lap.
The Performante was on stickier tires. The cage works tires hard, though... stiffens the chassis.
Imagine those 2 cars on the highway and they wanna race from 2nd or 3rd gear until 300 kmh. Who do u think wins?

In fact both car is really close in term of performance, anyway after a couple of laps iam sure that the gt2 will be faster and more regular than the lamb ;-)

What's great about the gt2rs, and basically any Porsche in general, is you can drive it to and from work everyday, take it to the track on the weekends and destroy everything there, and do this for the next 5 years without a problem.

Anyone else notice the driver wasn't shifting the gears himself in the Porsche? That alone is enough to give the Porsche an advantage since the driver didn't have to concentrate on shifting at all.

Zwischen den Werksfahrern von Porsche und Lamborghini liegen bei 20,5 km auf der Nordschleife 4,7 Sekunden!Bei SportAuto liegen bei 2,6 km 1,7 Sekunden...zwischen den beiden Fahrzeugen...Der Porsche hatte außerdem eine Sondermischung des Michelin Cup 2 drauf, die es noch gar nicht zu kaufen gibt. Der Lambo hatte Trofeo R, die man zum Fahrzeug dazu bekommt...Das Porschemagazin hat mal wieder geliefert!!!
