it’s about mental illness. She suffered from bi-polar disorder (that’s why she flipped out at the party) & depression. At the end, there’s a link for help with mental illness.
Truthfully as someone who suffers from mental illness I found this music video so beautiful and honest and yes even hard to take emotionally but also so important to help break the stigma surrounding mental illness. Thank you to Chris Stapleton for coming up with the story for the video.
This is almost a complete mirror of my life. I have never attempted suicide but I do suffer from bipolar it came on suddenly a couple years ago when I hit my forties (which is abnormal I believe but) my husband is exactly like the man in the video EXTREMELY Supportive and I wish I could be all better I do see how great he is and I know my life is wonderful but something inside me just will not allow me to accept it and you can not understand it unless you Go through it and I didn't understand it until I felt it inside me... I am blessed with a beautiful home a loving husband of 25 yrs and 3 amazing sons and I wish I was able to feel That
And also I view this from a different side my dad committed suicide when I was 18 I found him after he had shot himself and an only child and daddy's little girl so you can only imagine...
@@LISAGSTONE3 I’m sorry to hear that. I can only imagine. I hope it gets better for you! Best wishes! 💪🙌
@@LISAGSTONE3
Lisa, I am so sorry for your pain
You are strong.
Love from Michigan ❤️
As a person living with bipolar and a husband in the military, this video really hits home.
❤️❤️🙏🏼
Welcome to the world of Chris Stapleton. He’s a living legend that people seem to not recognize. You guys should really check more of his songs out, he has an astonishing voice. His songs fall into more than just one Genre.
That site at the end of the video actually takes you to a site to help you know the signs of emotional suffering. This was a pretty good depiction of a bipolar person - with the mania (super happy) and then the deep devastating depressions. It also shows how he's trying to be there in the relationship for her.
The record company wanted a video so he picked this song and made the video about mental health issues. What you need to know about Chris is he is just as good, if not better live. He can sing anything. His wife sings with him and her voice is gorgeous too. For a shot of real country Brooks and Dunn Believe, which is also emotional.
This made me tear up. Loved the song and yes this is so country.
😭 Chris doesn’t shy away from the tough topics.
chris stlapleton songs are always loaded you'll always find one you can relate to.
The actor in this video is one of my favorite actors Ben Foster.
I knew he looked really familiar!
You guys totally should check out “Barely Alive” by Chris Stapleton. He sang this song back when he was in a rock band called The Jompson Brothers. He does a phenomenal job!
This is a PSA for mental health illnesses. She has bi-polar depression. If you read up on the making of the video it explains that this is to start the conversation and raise awareness. Great reaction y’all ♥️
Love Christ stapleton. Have to do more of his songs because he is amazing. Some suggestions are - sometimes I cry and Tennessee whiskey
This is very realistic for mental illness. I had a sister who went thru this and we all tried to help but we couldn't save her in the end. At the time I could not understand but the last few years I have been going thru the same as she did but I thank God my family picked up the signs before I did or I would not be here today. Still struggling.
Awesome guys! Thanks. That’s definitely a heavy one.
Thank you for the good suggestions
new favorite artist, all thanks to your channel.
Whiskey Lullaby - Brad Paisley
Specifically the music video
That’s a good one
she suffered from Bi-Polar disorder, the song shows all the highs and lows. He kept trying to save her from herself, but then in the end he couldn't save her and she took her own life
You guys do reaction videos perfectly. You give every artist a chance and true listen. Not only to the lyrics, but the music and video story itself. You also don't skip through the song (huge pet peeve when other youtubers do that), usually your pauses are well placed and short. One of my favorite channels!!
Thank you very much! Thank you for the support 🤘💪
This was my favorite reaction that you guys have done so far! I came here for Billie, and stuck around for more. Glad I did!
Thank you natalie
Bowzer’s reaction Pit y’all should fix y’alls country playlist it says county lol
Ct Hubbert fixed, thank you 💪
@@BowsersreactionPit u gotta react to the world's first blk country music duo "The Good Old Boyz" "czcams.com/video/8B58nxWsFi8/video.html.
Big shout out first comment
Try Brooks and Dunn singing "Believe" on the official video and prepare yourself for an outstanding story that will keep you riveted to your seats.
Chris and Morgane Stapleton, (his wife) singing *Amanda* or *You are my sunshine* they are both great singers
Kills me every time... you guys gotta do more Chris Stapleton reactions man. The dude is soooooo great. Come on fellas jump in... the waters nice
Tennessee whiskey, broken halos... both just amazing
You’re two kind souls
Please react to Chris Stapleton and Justin Timberlake singing Tennessee Whiskey at the CMA's and also Taylor swift with Vince Gill ringing "Red" at the CMA'S.
It’s about bi-polar/depression and wanting to help your partner/spouse/whatever carry that burden. He called off the BBQ because she was losing it, chased her in to the field because she was losing it, saved her from drowning because she was losing it, and then she cut her wrists and there was nothing he could do.
Sucks, but it happens.
Chris Stapleton " Nobody To Blame " " Broken Halo's " "Millionaire" "Daddy Doesn't Pray Anymore"
Yup... this is definitely a great song! I follow all your commentary, fo' sho'.
I messaged another country song on fb, kinda similar to this one and a Joyner Lucas song too.
Great rection to a very sad song, Bipolar is not a respecter of people! Thanks!
It was depresion
this is just my guess, but I think the Woman was Bipolar, the part in the hospital where they kept asking the cop for all of her medications kinda gave me that idea, adding to the whole party thing. it makes the most sense to me anyway.
The lead man is an actor.
I just watched the THE JOMPSOM BROTHERS - BARELY ALIVE review then this. Another song for my drunk playlist
sometimes i cry by chris stapleton
It's "knee high by the 4th of July" & corn these days with all the hybrids are more like 6 or 7 feet high by the 4th of july.
The Bartender is the singer Chris
Good reaction. It deals with mental illness. Bi Polar and depression.
Mental illness is no joke guys. Sometimes all the support someone gives is not enough.
That’s absolutely true. But you never stop trying. Ever. Not to many people can be strong enough for someone else to be able to stick around. It’s hard.
Suggestion/request - I would love to see your reaction to Johnny Cash's cover of "Hurt" by Nine Inch Nails. The video is so raw and real!
*It would be irresponsible of me to not mention that some of the imagery used in the video might be offensive to some of your subscribers/viewers. It was quite controversial, and created a lot of speculation about how it was meant to be interpreted. So I will suggest that at least one of you may want to watch it first to see if it is appropriate for your channel. Regardless, though, of whether you post a reaction or not, I think you should watch it for yourselves - it brings up a lot of issues that people shouldn't be afraid to have healthy discussions about.
Would love to see you react to Tori Amos “Precious Things”, “Spark” or “God” to start. She is an amazing composer, song writer, artist, musician & amazingly talented spirit. Has so much emotion she puts into her songs, her lyrics can be somewhat like a poem but the energy she gives can completely let you know what she is singing about.
Y’all want some classic country music, listen to Johnny Cash like Man in Black, Boy named Sue, Ain’t No Grave. Another Country Icon is George Jones with hits like He stopped loving her today, If the drinking don’t kill me, She’s my rock.
Everyone talks about country like it’s some singular genre when it is just like other genres that have sub genres within it. Mainstream country has become more pop-ish and even hip hop ish. Chris Stapleton has definite influences from blues and soul. I recommend Nobody to Blame to a more country feel from him. The song is kinda humorous as well. I also recommend Eric Church. He’s got more of rock vibe, but has voice that is distinctly country. I’d recommend “Stick that in your country song”. I don’t think you could go wrong with any of his songs, but it’s his newest single and is a good representation of him, IMO.
I request PSYCHEDELIC BOYZ RAWSTARR ‘TIL I DIE” music video❤️
Great reaction, love this song. You should check out The White Buffalo - The Whistler, live at guitar center. It’s amazing. He’s alternative or outlaw country/folk.

@@emdet2234 Definitely pertinent to my interests. I wrote it down and saved the link to my watch later. Be patient with us; we've got a ton of requests! Thanks very much for continuing the suggestion train. That's the stuff that keeps us going. And, thank you very much for "hanging out" with us here on the channel.

You should listen to devil always made me think twice live on the late show or watch you burn off chris stapletons new album. I think you'll like both.
Man you want to hear his actual range? Tennessee Whiskey. You gotta!
Tennessee Whiskey live is great
Hey Bowzer's , please react to Chicosci-Diamond Shotgun; Chiodos -Baby, You Wouldn't Last A Minute On The Creek; Maximun The Hormone-Zetsubou Billy; and Finch-What It Is To Burn!!!
I love The white buffalo, he's more alt country, roots/folk type.
That’s the pain of loving someone with Bi Polar 😢
Depression
She was mentally ill. He was saying she could give him all her pain. Fire away!
What you gathered from it is she has mental issues she's not she's not I wouldn't say crazy but she's has a problem where she keeps committing suicide she is that's why she snapped out at the little gathering they had. That's why he was chasing her across the cornfield because she just went on her own and just walking.
It is about her having bipolar disorder.
Bi-polar/depression he tried to save her but in the end couldn't
If you get chance can u check out the vid “glitter” by jelly roll and struggle jennings? Its not country but they are southern boys who rap/sing. 🌹
Severe manic depression and anxiety

She's bipolar. He wants to love her to wellness.
Sounds like manic depression or bi-polar
Try that she's bi-polar.
Bipolar depression. It's horrible.
She was bipolar guys
Mental illness... depression.
She's bipolar..
I appreciate your insight on the video… but I don’t think you have a real grasp on what mental illness means.
