We moved here from North Texas. Flat and dry prairies with very few trees. Our property taxes were 4 times what we pay here. Tornadoes hit year round. Traffic was a nightmare too. Moving here has been wonderful. It was like getting a raise. The people are very kind here too. We love it.
Great perspective. Lots of reasons people continue to move to NETN.
We are moving from a Houston suburb back to the TriCities, building on five acres in Limestone. Besides the fact we have family also moving back to NE Tennessee, property taxes are insane. We can’t wait to get back.
We lived in TX for a bit and the property taxes and insurance were very high!
TN looks very beautiful to me.
My concern is the homeschool laws there, I need to research that a bit more. We love freedom!
Where are you from?
I’m in Houston, been eyeing NE TN for a couple years cause of better weather, prettier land, and less wokeness
I'm not so sure it's actual "Texans" moving here, but Californians who screwed that state up will start work on it here. The home prices here are still hotter than a junkies' spoon. The economy here cannot support such a spike in prices. Also, with the recent NAR settlement that may throw a little more shade on the prices.
