House of the Dragon season 2 is almost here, and promos for season 2 keep coming out.
Here we can see Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen with her son Prince Jacaerys, but that's not all we can see.
If you look closely, you will notice that Rhaenyra has a bandage on her hand and a bruise on her left cheek.
Why, what happened to Rhaenyra you might wonder. Rhaenyra Targaryen survived an assassination attempt that will happen in season 2 episode 2, orchestrated by King Aegon Targaryen and Criston Cole. Who tried to kill her? A member of King Aegon’s Kingsguard, Ser Arryk Cargyll.
Why they chose him? Because Arryk looks exactly like his twin brother, Ser Erryk who serves as Queensguard to Queen Rhaenyra, hence why he's able to infiltrate Dragonstone and come so close to Rhaenyra unnoticed, because everyone thinks he is his twin brother.
Arryk Cargyll, posing like his twin brother Erryk, will try to kill Rhaenyra Targaryen, and who will stop him? Well, the only person who can really tell that it's not Erryk but Arryk, his twin brother Erryk of course.
Erryk fighting Arryk is a legendary event from the Game of Thrones world and it will take place in House of the Dragon season 2 episode 2.
Ser Arryk is coming for revenge against Queen Rhaenyra on King Aegon’s and Criston Cole’s orders. He is pretending to be his twin brother Erryk who serves in Rhaenyra’s Queensguard but while he manages to lightly injure Rhaenyra, cutting her hand and bruising her face, his twin brother recognizes him and fights him to the last.

As much as I feel its justified that Rhaenyra and Daemon will orchestrate Blood & Cheese, and kill Aegon’s son, pretty much a son for a son, I can’t help but feel bad for Haleana. She is so pure and innocent, she doesn’t deserve it, escpecially having to witness it first hand and choose which son to lose :(
Her children don’t deserve it either.
Helaena and her children are innocent and Blood and Cheese isn’t justified.

I get that Rhaenyra and Daemon wanted revenge for Luke’s death but did Daemon have to kill one of Aegon’s sons to do that? He could have just sent Blood and Cheese after Aemond, Aegon, or even Alicent herself since she and her dad started all of this.
Then Aegon, Aemond and Alicent wouldn’t feel the pain of losing children as they did. This revenge makes the most sense to me, an eye for an eye, a son for a son.

Maybe it happens in episode 2, this shot is just aftermath.. if it happens in episode 2 ending, Jace comes back to Rhaenyra at episode 3 and this is them meeting or discussing stuff

I’m shocked at Aegon’s stupidity, thinking he has any right to avenge his child. Him losing his children was literally Rhaenyra’s revenge for losing her kid. How do you want revenge on revenge.. Rip Cargylls and little Jaehaerys.
