I always had medium to large dogs growing up. They were always trained and well behaved. Gotta love those big pooches!

All of this is too true. I've also been attacked by small crusty dogs as a kid. The first time, I was genuinely scared for my life, and I never again ran as hard as I did that day.
People were afraid of my old lab/pitty mix but the best boy literally flopped over and let kids all over him, didn't even complain when they pulled his ears. Absolute snugglebug didn't deserve the hate.
Meanwhile a few doors down there were morbidly obese beagles that NEVER SHUT UP and one of those crusty little demon mutts that only encouraged the beagles with its own hellish screeching. People PLEASE train your small dogs before they turn to nippy noisy devils!

oh man, I hate when anyone in public tries to touch my dog. I have her on a leash, right by my side at all times. She does not like other people - they make her nervous. But they still come and try to touch her. I had one kid run up to her, and even though I said no, you can't pet her, he did anyway. If she bit him, it would 100% be the mom's/kid's fault, but the punishment would be on my dog. If you see people walking a dog, leave them alone.
