Minato is hated by the Stone Village, so Naruto is called Uzumaki to hide/protect him from his fathers enemies.
I actually never caught that. Naruto Namikaze would’ve been such a cool name too.
It’s also because kushina was from an actual clan. Minato was just some guy that happened to become one of the strongest shinobi in history (in my opinion that makes him even more dope btw) so it does kinda make sense that they never showed kushina taking minatos name and naruto getting the “clan name”
Notice how only the most skilled shinobi (kakashi, itachi, and hiruzen) felt the ominous chakara. Too goated

Minato seems like such a cool,happy and nice guy but this episode shows if you face him as an enemy you're royally fucked

@@nowabugale5951 It didn't take long at all actually He was the 1st one to land a blow on him and all in 1 day unlike Kakashi, Yamato, Sai, Kiba, Shino, Hinata, Sakura, and Naruto which still didn't figure it out. Kakashi didn't figure it out until months later( The war).

We all know Nine Tail needs to be the final tail beast to seal inside the Gedo statute in order to balance, so to Madara, it actually doesn't matter whether he can take the Nine-tail now or in the future, he did it only don't want to waste this golden opportunity.

In truth, the meta plot of Naruto did not exist until Shippuden. Prior to Kishimoto writing the middle of the Wave arc, he had a vague idea that the Sannin would come in and Orochimaru would be a villain. Naruto was not even the 4th's son yet. Because of that, a lot of stuff he did early like the 9 tails attack and the Uchiha massacre had to be retconned massaged to comply with later events. Like the 9 tails attack on the day of Naruto''s birth...what was Obito going to do with the Kyubi. The fan theories are either that he would have Nagato use the RInnegan to control the Kyubi (since we know it is the next up state from the EMS and Nagato had not been taught all the RInnegan abilties or that Obito was going to harvest Uchiha eyes from the corpses of the Uchiha after the 9 tails to see if any were close enough for Obito to get an EMS).
Minato was so feared ...that it was a adviced to leave the battlefield upon seeing him.. once a 1000 stone village shinobis didn't do it.. and paid the price for it

Imagine meeting Minato in battle after you heard all the stories about him and even ordered to flee whenever you see him. Many shinobis definitely shit their pants at that moment.
I might be biased since Minato is my favorite naruto character, but I feel like most of the scenes with him are dooooooope!

@@axel9473 I think they are talking about just the time he grabs Naruto. You actually see him mid teleport. He has to take the explosive tags away from Kushina and get the Naruto away from the tags.
this battle is one of those that incorporate true ninja moves, not shiny as dragon ball typical fights as in another naruto battles. this requires strategy precision calculation etc you name it but yet so simple and superbly cool at the same time. the panshot when minato swings his rasengan on top tobi body is just so delightful scene.
this kind of fight is what made me in love with the series. But now they are just typical anime fights.
Yess i agreed @@quicklittlesnail1616 it would be fine if that kind of fights happened in dragonball. But in naruto we expect trickery stuffs happened, like forst battle against zabuza, or like against kakuzu-hidan, or this minato-tobi

@@mp6640 Yeah, but he's not good at it. Rasen Flash Super Circle Dance Howl Stage Three and Scorch Style: Nimbus Gale Jet Black Arrow Formation Zero certainly come to mind. Although his second attempt at naming the latter; Scorch Style: Nimbus Tempest is certainly passable by comparison.

that Flying Raijin jutsu is perhaps one of the more impressive non-broken moves in Naruto, and this is just the Fourth Hokage: no tailed beast, clan enhancements or magic eyes, the dude was very much something else.

17:14 So, just FYI, in the manga? He hit Madara with Rasengan first, then caught the kunai, to show how instantaneous this moment was. But the way they showed it in the anime, it looks like a good second passes.
THANK YOU! Not many people recognize this, in the manga it's so much cooler. Still one of the coolest scenes in Naruto up until this point in the anime though

@@AlanJia8 And there's the problem. Trying to make things look "badass" or "cool" at the expense of them making sense (most of Naruto's anime in a nutshell right there). The way it's presented in the anime it looks like Madara had time to switch back to being intangible.

@@catxborsuq1 It works out either way, as soon as he went to grab Minato, Minato teleported to him. It showcases even more how much faster he is in that moment. It's not like he could've become tangible while a kunai was through his head. Both instances were plausible.

We gotta think about it that this fight happened years ago he definitely learned and improved from this battle with the Yellow flash
The move where Minato let his kunai go through Madara and then he teleported at the last second and rasenganed the heck out of him is the absolute most clutch move EVER! Especially when Minato's theme starts playing in the background! Minato was such a genius to have figured out Madara's move and how to counter it that quickly! This and the next episode are where we see how much of a BOSS Minato can be!
Oh, and Naruto has Kushina's last name because Minato was too well known across the Elemental Nations and had too many enemies, so giving Naruto the Uzumaki name was safer so that nobody would know that he was Minato's kid.

Besides being fear as the dude who with just two jutsus (Basic Rasengan and Hiraishin) can obliteraty a whole army in a day by overexxageratting the TP and grafitty the back of the npcs xD
