Kushina is an Uzumaki. They have an unnaturally strong life force. This allows them to heal quicker and have longer lifespans than normal people. This is why they sealed the Ninetails in an Uzumaki. That's also why Kushina was able to do what she did despite the ninetails being taken out. She would have died anyway, just not immediately like Gaara.
Nah, she's just a badass.. the same thing happens to an Uzumaki and they just collapse and while not dead immediately, they are dying.. Kushina gave birth, had 9T removed, and still had power to spare. That's pure badass.

There are a few moments where you have to use the "sad" word instead of the "fun" one for a fact..... this is one of them.

Kishimoto is really good at the art of keeping key parts of the lore vague enough when introduced so that he can add stuff and connect events that he'd come up with later and not feel like retcons and look like he planned it all from the start, not 100% success, but works well enough.
There isn’t quite a lot of retcons. There’s about 3 from early in the series, when Kishimoto didn’t yet know it was going to be a long running series, and that’s it.
He planned more particularly further later on. It has nothing to do with leaving things vague.
Any other claims of ‘retcons’ is simply poor memory/understanding.
Supposedly it was Danzo that revealed the classified information that Naruto was the 9-Tails jinchuriki so that the Village ridiculed him. Once again, thank you Danzo

According to Itachi's novel, The reason why people in the village knew Naruto was the Jinchuriki was because Danzo spread the information, and considering the possbility of blaming the Uchiha clan. The novel has this passage:
“Lord Danzo did one thing. He simply made it known that the Nine Tails that plunged the village into terror was housed in the body of that child. The people of the village then made their own judgments, and decided on their own to discriminate against Naruto. With this terrifying child as their just cause, they shifted responsibility to someone else, and now the people turn a cold shoulder to Naruto. And by looking down on the poor child, they maintain their emotional equilibrium. Your clan fulfills a similar role to Naruto. Isn’t that so?”

i mean if that was danzos plan, then it worked, cause right after this event happened the Leaf ostracized the Uchiha from the village as they weren't trusted, after it was found out that an Uchiha can control the nine tails.

This episode really tugs at your heartstrings. There was a scene in the third Ultimate Ninja Storm game where Kushina struggles to comfort a crying baby Naruto with a children's toy, right after having the Nine-Tails ripped out from her. It was pure depression just by how heartwarming it was. 😢

I have seen this episode so many times in both sub and dub, but whenever I watch it in dub, I get a bit teary every time.
Kushina's eng VA "Laura Bailey" is phenomenal.
The only thing i will never forgive that character, robbing Naruto of a cool dad and a kind and loving mother...Nothing is more powerful than a mother's love i guess ! Too bad Minato didn't have enough chakra left to have more time with Naruto. That ending still hit me like a truck even now...

The best version of the heros journey ive ever seen. So much told through the eyes of Naruto being alone to being cherished by everyone. Sounds so obvious but the way he struggled was so relatable

The whole idea about how Naruto does not know who his father is. It's to protect him from people who would hate Minato - ergo he got named after his mom.
I love how all Kushina said for Naruto really happen in Naruto’s life. The Mother instinct is indeed amazing 👏❤
One thing I've never seen anyone else talk about is Naruto's expression when his mum hugs him. He finally experiences what he'd always craved for - a mother's embrace full of love. His expression to me must have instinctly became that of a newborn child when Kushina hugged him and that allowed him to live a lifetime as a child loved by a mother in that second. He wasn't sad, conflicted or fearful of losing her again; Naruto was just appreciating the chiildhood he never had.

@@catxborsuq1 Hiruzen wasn't the best at taking care of Naruto but that's why Naruto is Uzumaki and not Namikaze, that way he's not known for being related to a hokage. Other villages didn't know he was the jinchuriki, if anything only the Akatsuki members later on
Iruka's story just like motoi's story. Their father died in bijuu incident, and they grow up and have a great relation with the jinchuriki
yeah, there are quite a few reused themes in the show.
The people who say the Pain arc was the last good one only say that because they were bombarded by fillers throughout the rest of the series. The people who binged the series and skipped fillers like you guys are still love the rest of the series because they don't have to deal with unnecessary fillers. The 5 Kage Summit arc was great and the Great NInja War arc probably has the best emotional writing in the entire series so you guys will definitely enjoy it. Don’t let the people blindsided by fillers convince you how most people actually perceive the rest of the series from the Pain arc and onwards.

@@yashaoftheflames8475 I agree but I still think the peaks of the arc far outweigh the lows of the arc so all in all it is still a good arc. People over hate the arc so much because it’s not the best arc in the series and is the climax but that tends to be the case with majority of series. Most stories don’t have their best arc as their last arc but for some reason Naruto gets more scrutiny for that being the case than any other series.
This is true until Kaguya emerges.

you are so right. i binge watched all of naruto in 2 months, and after finishing it, the war was my absolute favourite arch. sure it has its flaws, way more than pain's arch, but it has SO MANY great, legendary, hype, emotional, heartbreaking, wholesome moments. i can't even be mad at the kaguya plot twist because it was followed by Naruto Vs Sasuke, arguably one of the best fights in the history of anime.

also, one of the best things about the whole naruto series is kishimoto written them in reflection to his life, naruto (esp early naruto) was based off of him, even the clothes he wore - kishi said he used to wear trackies like that as a kid and that narutos relationship with his father was based on his own relationship with his father. additionally to that, naruto's relationship with his own son boruto, is based off of his relationship with his real son as well which is dope cause it draws partially from real life which is why it truly hits in moments like these.
Minato took one look at Kushina and decided he can die if only to give her more time in the future with Naruto. That's how much he loved her.
Are family, is Shinobi. I think that line is my favorite line in the whole show.

I was playing one of the naruto ultimate games and was playing though this part and all my friends was playing there own games and paying attention to what they where doing and the game played that whole part of this episode , and I put down my controller to watch it and when it ended I picked up controller and heard some one sniff from crying and I looked back and saw all 6 of my friends stopped what they where playing , doing , ect and watch it with me and one of them said “ why was that good “ lol I just responded “ IDK that’s naruto “ and continued playing 😊

Sure she is, Almost dead still hold Full kurama, With a little Chakra that Minato put in the Seal still able to hold haft kurama to Naruto get his powers.. show doesn't show how skilled in battle she was, but for sure she have a great amount of chakra, knowledge of jutsus, and like Naruto Guts

These three episode's always makes me cry. Even more after having a child of my own. My husband and me both immediately cried after Karin was born and we heard her first cry.
I am currently re-watching Naruto Shippuden with a friend, she's never seen Naruto. I'm glad to experience it with her, but I do feel bad that's she's cried almost during every episode.

Can I just say what we've all been wanting for years now "Just make a series about Minato and Kushina already!!!"
I was a kid the first time i watched this scene and now i'm 20 and there was not ONE time i didn't cry in the 29193394734 times i've watched this, without fail I always cry bruh, it always hit different depending on where i am in life + where the story in this universe at the moment. regardless of the faults in kishimoto's writing sometimes, everyone has their strengths and weaknesses and kishi's emotional writing and skill in story-telling is definitely one of his strengths. also yes, mfs who keep saying naruto does downhill after pain arc are tripping, its fine to not like a show/series but they're usually people/hype beasts who stopped watching after that arc anyways so they wouldn't know shit, i mean they're mostly mad cause this arc kind of dragged a bit but they don't have a connection with the story due to that reason so don't take their word for it - they just like to ruin other peoples experiences due to their own selfish pride. at the end of the day it's best to always decide for yourself whether you like something or not, cause people be robbing themselves of experiences by listening to other people without even questioning it and its a damn shame.
I personally don't think it's fair to write off his entire anime due to some flaws, he def could've done better with certain things or certain characters but it's rare to ever have a whole perfect product and that usually rarely exists, that was just his weakness and other authours have that weakness in a different areas. after all it was only just him writing the story with ikemoto, not a whole team - ur bound to miss things, and in my personal opinion now with boruto as well, kodachi being added to the team have improved certain aspects of his writing and fill some gaps/develop certain characters in the story in which he didn't have time to do before, esp has he was rushed and working 24/7 with this manga/anime. anyways, this anime will always be a treasure to me, re-watching moments like this with yall remind me of how much this story means to me and helped me through life.

The reincarnation stuff is really not right, and breaks Naruto's speech to Neji in OG Naruto, and all the teachings about naruto overcoming its problems.
But the profecy stuff here, for me it is still digestible. With effort, we can make it make sense. Because even he being the child of the prophecy, he suffered a lot, and had to work hard to become strong, he had a lot of chakra? Yes, but it isn't enough to save the world, and not even to become a Hokage, he was dumb, everything was hard to him, and on top of that people used to hate him due to the fear and hate against the "demon" he has inside of him. So the prophecy exists, but we see Naruto's difficult journey. If Naruto stayed at home doing nothing, he would never be nothing, it's not like he was the savior no matter what happened, he only is because of his determination, guts and hard working. Prophecies can be wrong.
The prophecy never said that the chosen one would necessarily be Naruto.
And if you take out the prophecy of the story, as if it never existed, everything still makes sense. But it's impossible to take out the reincarnation part of the story, because it is what solves the problems in the end, unfortunatelly.
In my mind, I just ignore the prophecy thing, Kishimoto should have done the same, it's not necessary.
@@Blade57331 no...cycle of hatred was more an a pain arc theme. There is no such thing later...well, there is but that's not how u deals with these themes. Vinland saga is doing a great job with "no enemy no vengeance "... here was done decent in pain arc. Later it was Just...I don't even know what it was. It seems like kishimoto was trying to talk about a lot of things but failed miserably.
The message of AFTER PAIN is basically "I understand your pain" but was done in the worst way with madara being the clown of clowns aside with obito. Kisame was the last good character that died

Because Kushina is a full blooded Uzumaki, she is the only jinchuriki to not die immediately after the tailed beast was removed, she instead had enough chakra to help seal the nine tails. The Uzumaki are crazy I wonder what happened to them
