  • In this video I compare the famous Ontario RAT 1 to the Esee Avispa folding knives. These are both popular and budget folders that are similar but yet just asking for a VS video. Check it out and let me know your thoughts.

I have had the RAT 1 in AUS8 for a good while now and I do really like it. Mine doesn't have a 90 degree spine tho. When I have the spare money I plan to get the avispa in D2. Thanks for the video, God bless

I like both but knives with a single scale on one side drives me crazy, it's like they forgot something. I can't get past it

I agree. I personally like the rat better

Does your have a carbon fibre finish on that one scale. Mine does and it's slick as hell to handle. Wish I had a G10 scale on mine.

      Oooh, hold my beer.
ESEE Avispa in D2 Black out CF
aaaand the new Red RAT 1 in S35VN.
      Sorry couldn't resist.
The Red RAT as they've dubbed it has buttery smooth action and actual G10 scales as opposed to whatever it had before.
Unfortunately it's $100. Worth it if you really like RAT and ESEE. Ontario released this magic and I'm loving it.
