Who remember J Reese and Studio 720 ?? Scrap Dogg. The ARABS Mysteri and Mz Mystory SOSC Filthy Corruption DJ Taz Ex999. Konfusion ( Tone) Big Lou Ghengis Khann (!Jeremy) Mann I miss that place ..
Growing up there, I never thought any side of town was shady. Then again I had relatives or lived in each part at one point so I felt safe. I didn't venture to the Jets though, I didn't know anyone over there. A mix of old houses a new ones all around the city. At that time, most folks worked at US Steel, Ford or the hospital so everyone knew someone at least in passing. I guess you had run down neighborhoods and petty criminals, back then, but I never felt unsafe anywhere in town. Even the South side where I got call N++++ quite a few times hahahaha. That 7-11 om Meister has to be pushing 50. That same store was there in the early 80s at least.
Thanks Mann you went past my old studio on Broadway also a past house I had in 9th and Reid . You hit all the right spots I see the Jets is still the same . 21st st used to be busy now everything look peaceful. You were on the West side Oberlin Ave Ashland where the classic Adrmiral King high school was . This video brought back memories. Going back to visit soon after as 15 year departure to NC
There are a few sketchy places in Lorain but its a huge city area wise much bigger than people think. Generally a good place to live overall hard working middle class blue collar people for the most part. And downtown is being revitalized down by the river.
Spent many years driving those streets and alleys, great memories.
Beautifull the city of Lorain Oh😊😊😊
