Consistent in hitting fairways and giving himself opportunities yes, does he always make the most of them? No. No one does. Zach Johnson being consistent shooting 70 or 71 is a disappointment to him a lot of the time I'm sure. No one is super consistent the most consistent player ever was Tiger. Had the longest consecutive tournament without a missed cut record, a win record that was outrageous (like 40% against a hundred other people?!?!) And he didn't play even close to the same as these guys consistency is an odd thing to try and pinpoint in this game. Tiger has all the records to show he is consistent but he hits more shots bad than most people on tour doing it outside of 2000-2003.

I got a spiritual/mental feeling with the putter that day, that I never got again. My technique was perfect, and my stroke was so smooth and balanced. I made 2 eagles and 8 birdies. I never putted like that again. It was a very interesting once in a lifetime experience. Furyk was so great to shoot 58 on tour. He will greatly enjoy that the rest of his life.

Jim has shown too, how much the game is "mental", by literally having the ball on a string and playing "outside himself".

He doesn't hit it long, not the most elegant swing. It just goes to show it,s not how,it,s how many. That round was incredible.

funny i was talkin swing thoughts on the course recently & how the swing look has nothing 2 do with the result & jim was mentioned as a great player who stuck with his own swing, despite all the advice & flew high with it!go jimmy!

Kim Jong Il shot a 34, carding a -38 at the 1994 Pyongpang Open.

The real story is that the guy keeping score for Kim Jong Il didn't know how to keep score, and wrote down pars as a 1, bogeys as a 2, and doubles as a 3 (no joke).

I shot a 56 on a Sony playstation, on the TPC Scottsdale, playing against a good friend of mine. I used to never stop the shots, a full go on everything, and figured the aiming math out, which is still a key on golf games. The hand-eye coordination isn't what it once was, and my scores are reflective of that reality.
