- After 170,000 hits here's a new version, hopefully with better resolution, of Vincent Price's 1977 version of the Boris Pickett song, mashed up with clips from The Monster Club and the lovely Pan's People dancers.

Vincent Price is the coolest human being who ever lived.
TOTALLY 💜
He so was 💜 he was a king of horror, absolutely down to earth and a hell of a cook!
Christopher Lee for me. But an excellent choice, no doubt
I have the same birthday as Vincent, which has always made me love him just a *little* bit more.
@@cjhooversd And the same date as Christopher Lee of course
I loved Vincents voice. Its so scary-soothing
Good description
It's kind of eerie how Vincent Price lists off all of those things humans can do. But he does it in a positive voice!
That was his charm.
@@miriamjewett5438 Listen to him talk about his admiration, almost love, for the Black Widow on Alice Coopers 'Welcome To My Nightmare' album. The man was a master of his art.
that man could narrate your worst nightmare and you would beg to have that nightmare every night for the rest of your life lol. that was his skill level within the horror genre
He was wholesome like that.
Vincent Price had humans all figured out. 🤣
VINCENT price DANCING and singing is the coolest thing IVE ever seen!!
He looks like he's having SO much fun!!
IM 68 YEARS OLD & IVE LOVED VINCENT PRICE SINCE I WAS MAYBE 9 YEARS OLD ! HES TH MASTER OF TH VOICE FOREVER ! HES GOT AN IMMORTAL VOICE ! NOBODY CAN CLOSE TO COMPARE !? VINCENT PRICE FOREVER !
Vincent price had a unbelievable voice like no other
The opening is a classic prosecution of humanity given by Hollywood's first REAL Box Office Idol.
Mr. Price mastered all genres of film.
Loved his voice. It alone was genuinely creepy.
Yeah probably why he was done so many horror themed things...seriously it just doesn't seem like Halloween without seeing or hearing ol' Vince at least once..and you gotta have a good Vincent Price Cackle to round it out ya know? I remember hearing him in 13 Ghost of Scooby-Doo and even though it was campy it just kinda fit him. He was a good actor and singer but he really shined doing horror related things.
vincent van ghoul always in my heart
The best place to hear Vincent Price’s voice on Halloween is in the music video for “Thriller”, with the verses he narrates. I believe these are his lines:
Darkness falls across the land
The midnight hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
To terrorize y'all's neighbourhood
And whosoever shall be found
Without the soul for getting down
Must stand and face the hounds of hell
And rot inside a corpse's shell
The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of 40 thousand years
And grisly ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom
And though you fight to stay alive
Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of the thriller!
(Edit: I searched for the full lyrics for “Thriller” and found all of Vincent’s lines.)
A true talent, gone but not forgotten.
Mr Price is obviously enjoying himself in this interesting production. What a great actor, what a career, what a neat guy ! He is missed.
He loved playing the villain!
Loved him on Alice Coopers 'The Black Widow' preamble. So Delicous. Lol.
RIP Vincent . He had much talent not just in the horror genre.
This was good. I was lucky enough to have met Vincent Price at Texas Tech University, in the '80's at a talk he gave and obtained his autograph on the insert of an LP album, "Witchcraft an Demonolgy" that he narrated. It is one of my prize possessions. Price was such a talented actor when it came to "horror" genre films.
James Armstrong I was too young to meet him. I got to meet his daughter, Victoria, though. She's awesome.
James Armstrong your so lucky to have met him. My favorite horror movie actor. I remember seeing House of Wax in Pocatello Idaho years ago in the Chief Theatre. It burned down sometime in the late 1970s. Them paper glasses were funny, but Man the experience of 3D back then.
Oh Crap, I just gave away my age.
James Armstrong
That was so awesome.
I got to meet Jean Shepherd the writer/story teller (A Christmas Story) and I implore anybody whoever has a chance to attend an event such as this to do so without hesitation.
Nice if I recall right didn't Victoria do a biography on her father
James Armstrong he certainly was, he wasn't gay, he was married to Coral Browne, but he could be as camp as a row of army tents😂 plus he wasn't a luvvie and never took himself seriously
I saw Vincent do a reading of "The Raven" with an orchestra for Halloween. He was enthralling. Just killed it. He does this here with the perfect mix of camp and menace. Good stuff from a master of the genre.
"We don't like to boast..." How wonderful line!
Vincent Price.... the TRUE KING OF HORROR!!!!!
Yes he is
The Queen of Horror is Nancy Pelosi
And dnt forget about Stephen king
@@jeujeu97 I could never forget him!!!
Vincent price is the best!
😎👍Very cool and wonderful revision by Vincent Price indeed!.
I remember watching Vincent Price in "House of Wax" at a slumber party! That was 40 years ago and i still love it every Halloween, not to mention Dr. Phibes! He was a gourmet chef and a funny man as well! RIP Vincent🎃
an idol growing up in the late 60s-70s
He also had a huge art collection he donated to colleges before his death. Sometimes he did a movie only to get money to buy a piece he wanted.
Vincent Price was the best when it came to horror and Halloween. R.I.P.
Absolutely the best!
"The Master of Horror" is a fitting title for Vincent Price.
Miss you Vincent, thank you for everything you left for us.
I never get tired of V.P. I hope his legacy continues for many decades to come.
What can I say but wow. Glad to have found these old relics from childhood creepiness. 💕 love it! But best of all his hypnotic and captivating voice.
Loved Vincent He scared the crap out of me when I was a kid going to see the movies. He, Peter Lauri and Boris Karloff were the top best of the best.
How can l like this a million more times, Vincent Price has one of the coolest voices l have ever heard as l kid l would watch his horror movies just for him
Classic voice. Miss you Vincent.
Two of the best, Vincent Price and John Carradine, still love this song.
Thanks for the Awesome Entertainment Mr. Price. RIP.
OMGossshhh! Vincent Price is actually doing the infamous Monster Mash! He was most likely in his 70's here..& he looks cool doing it! Far Out!! Groovy!..& Trippy!! He's my fave horror movie star..always! ..& greatly missed.. 🙂🙂💕💕🎃🎃
One of the greatest actors of all time! 😱
He's awesome and very creative!
R.I.P
A true Legend, his narrations were always as phenomenal as his voice.
I’m 22 and I’ve always been obsessed with Halloween.. when I see Vincent price I see such a beautiful energy and it gives me nostalgia for a time I was never even a part of...
I'm 48. Vincent was all class and played his horror roles with a nod and a wink. That's what makes him so great. He loved his work, he had an extensive fine art collection he donated to colleges before his death, and he published gourmet cookbooks. In fact, he did a skit on the original "Muppet Show" about cooking.
Same
Through the magic of CZcams you can be a part of it.
I never knew Vincent did a version of this! Thanks for posting!!
you should check out his reading of the raven. by edger allan poe
There something in Vincent Price, just comforting.
No scary voice. Like. Vincent. Price. Legend. Number. One. In. My. Book
Vincent Price is the Halloween Man! OOH! Just imagine being around this creative soul !!! He was here for all of us!! No Bull!! BOO!!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Melinda Nichols He is the man of just about anything! He was so sweet to watch - he was having a blast!
Melinda Nichols thanks but it's a month away
wish he came back from the dead...
Agreed 💯
Just when we think Vinnie could not prove his awesomeness anymore...love him!
To dance with Price, memory of a lifetime.
I love Vincent Price! He was my next door neighbor. His daughter; my friend. He taught me how to tell a moonstone from another rock walking on the beach one day.
I adore Vincent and all of his movies!
Big Vincent Price fan here!
Vincent sounds utterly delighted as he lists of methods of carnage. Reminds me of his turn in "The Comedy of Terrors" with Karloff, Lorre, and Rathbone.
I am 52 I remember this as a kid, I had the 45, that is the single at that time. I loved this I remembered it word by word including tonight, and I am Canadian, the monster mash it was a grave yard smash.
He spoke the intro on Michael Jackson's "Thriller".
MJ ripped him off of Royalties...........
@@shilothepup9357 Did he ? That is infuriating.
actually there is a video really audio of him and Michael working on the Thriller voice over. so it wasnt a rip off
@@ashleyvictoria1539 You didn't understand the comment. He said ripped him off on ROYALTIES. Meaning he wasn't paid properly.
@bim bam. He didn’t actually speak the intro for that song, but he did speak some of the verses. These were the verses that Mr Price spoke:
Darkness falls across the land
The midnight hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
To terrorize y'all's neighbourhood
And whosoever shall be found
Without the soul for getting down
Must stand and face the hounds of hell
And rot inside a corpse's shell
The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of 40 thousand years
And grisly ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom
And though you fight to stay alive
Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of the thriller!
How can Vincent be soo handsome😍
I love Vincent Price's diction. It's so perfect.
Wonderful actor and a great man
How on earth could I have missed this? This is amazing -then again, it's Vincent Price, so duh - but-but...his delivery is stellar, the consant, suave half-smile, part smirk uncanny and his voice...*sigh* They just don't make the like that, anymore. Don't rest in piece, Vincent; keep Monster Mashing and rocking that eternity
Vincent is arguably the greatest Horror actor, He's who I think about when it comes to Halloween
One of my favourites has to be 'Theatre of Blood' with the gorgeous Diana Rigg playing his daughter (just as evil as her daddy). Vincent really gets to show his unquestionable talent in this movie.
It's just not the Halloween season unless you listen to Vincent at least 2 or 3 times no matter what he did. Be it singing or acting, you're almost compelled to watch or listen to something with him in it if you know about him and his work.
"Come on, my Pretty, do the Monster Mash! It won't hurt, I promise..."
-I love how Vincent said it in a way that was so scary, yet so funny at the same time.
I NEVER GET TIRED OF SEEING HIM .
Vincent price scared me when I was watching his movies, and I loved how he played in the movie. I love him.
Vincent is like: "look at these adorable humans! what funny things they can do!".
Gotta love this man!
My favourite version
The monologue he has before the song is terrifyingly apt, especially in 2020.
The world still has a hole in their tainted black hearts where the king of deliciously dark stories... Once filled in their youths... Thank you price family for sharing these ole favorites i remember soooo well...😎
Oh, weren't we so fortunate to be living in that time ? he was such a classy gentleman .
Brings back more memories than you can imagine. What a time of life. It will never be the same. God what I would love to do a monster mash dance in Nacogdoches TX and get all the college kids in on it. That would be the best EVER.. lol thanks from the bottom of my heart to all here. God Bless
I love Vincent Price! He's such a versatile actor.
A true horror icon my favorite horror movie idol! He is truly missed, loved his work! This version of Monster Mash is pretty hip I love it!
My favorite Vincent Price role was when he was in Edward Scissorhands.
YES
That was his very last role. He suffered from COPD and they had to cut his filming schedule short. I heard there was more of his character planned for the film but they couldn't make it happen.💜
The inventor 💜
The initial opening is actually quite grim and really makes you think ‘Wow we are a terrible species’ and then jumps into a rather amusing jam
What a brilliant actor
A masterpiece is everything with Vincent😍😍
Vincent Price, what a gentleman! He was awesome and unique.
Thanks for this, happy memories.
Vincent really looks to be having a good time dancing with his 'monsters'
Too bad Christopher Lee wasn't in this!! There is a cute clip of V P showing up in England to surprise Lee on his This Is Your Life show in 1974.Its here on YT.Now Lee is reunited with his buddies,Peter,Vincent and Boris.
Hattie M. Hey, ya can't forget Belo too. 😀
Oops I ment Bela. Shame on me.
Is that Peter Cushing or Lorre? Both were great at being creepy.
I've loved this man since I was a little girl. Thank you Vincent!!!! ✌️💕
The king of horror for sure.Saw his "Wax Museum" movie as a very young kid.Was still scared at night for 3 days after, lol.
Love this song. I am a DJ and play it at all Halloween dances.
Loved Vincent Price. Didn't know he done the Monster Mash too. I wonder how many versions there is. lol.😆❤️
he speaks the truth...that Vincent
I never realized humans could be so scary.
Melissa Marie Martinez Longoria he's absolutely right the Humes ills the Zionist occupied the United States government
Good Stuff. Vincent Price is one my all-time favorite Actors.
The best Halloween song by the best horror actor of all time. Bravo for posting.
Kris Olheiser I agree
Kris Olheiser this song was made by Bobbie Pickett. But yeah Vincent Price is a great singer too.
Love Vincent soo cute😍
Just isn't this hallowed time of year without hearing this.
I always remember that ending of Monster Club. Made me think about our species.
I miss hem soo much
For years when I was a kid I could've sworn i'd heard a version with Vincent Price, then over time when I heard/saw the Bobby Picket version I thought I had been mistaken, so thanks for confirming this!
He was the best 😁 I loved his voice could listen to it for hours😀
Apparently my humble rendition of ‘Monster Mash’ is getting some suggested views off of here. Thanks! Vincent Price was a great actor!!!
Thx for all Vincent!
Man, I hate it when Vincent Price passed away in 1993.
Ya, not to long after Edward Scissorhands
@marty mcfly
Ah, tony Todd is friggin awesome! I remember him in the Wishmaster and Candyman
@@hollywoodsaint57 he wasent in candyman what are you talking about?

Do your research, Sonny Boy
@@hollywoodsaint57 jesus christ calm down man i was just saying price wasent in candyman
"We don't like to boast."
WOW.
Vincent Price rules.
So much to see and hear on CZcams.
Wish he had been my dad!
I wish he had been my dad too, because my earthly father molested me from the time I was six years old to the time I was thirteen years old. I needed a decent father figure, and back in the 1970s, I imagined Vincent Price as one, and a classy one, too. I even had a crush on him from late 1973 to mid-1978.
Love the fact the guy that the wolf man had his hands on well he was talking is John Carradine one of the werewolves in the howling 😊
He was also in black widow by Alice Cooper he was my favorite actor growing up house on haunted Hill is my favorite movie
I loved Vincent Price RIP! He was truly creative, one of kind! Everyone followed his talent including Michael Jackson's thriller RIP. You can't find talent like this anymore! Now is just profanities rap with no thought of real musicians. Once in a while, I do like some new music is using when it's accompanied with orchestra. But nowadays everything it's just light affects it's not tell involved in the actual concert is being made. For example Tina turner, Jean Lux Ponty electrical violinist, Harry Chapin the storyteller, bolero, queen, the who, band on the run, Rolling Stones, the Moody blues, frank Vincent supper, etc.❣️🇨🇦
That's Jean Luc Ponty......not Lux Have loved his music since the 1970's.
The master of horror rip Vincent price 🎩
it does look like a family reunion
Not to mention that voice!! I've always loved the old radio shows he did especially with Peter Lorre.
I loved Vincent Price also a great actor in other movies in the 40s. He is a very talented.
Cool I loved Vicente he was my favorite Dracula in the black and white movies.
This is great, and horror legend Vincent Price definitely does the song justice.
When Monsters had Class! :)
Wow what a flashback... Vincent was indeed... one COOL GHOUL! 🦇
Vincent Price and John Carradine,, fantastic.
He is the coolest person with a great voice he is in thriller he’s the best human being ever
In 1987 my soon to be wife and I went to a place called Spooky World in Berlin, Mass. I had a bad cold. As we waited outside in the freezing weather for a hay ride we passed by a stage area. The door swung open and the man himself, Bobby Boris Pickett, came out and sang this song. Suddenly I forgot all about my cold and the cold. What a treat not a trick! ALL true!
Timeless 😊😊and so prophetic
Prophetic words by Vincent.John Carridine came out of the basement for that one.
Vincent Price did an opening speech about spiders as a lead-in for the song The Black Widow on Alice Cooper's album Welcome To My Nightmare. Apparently , he was a fan of Alice Cooper and was very excited to lend his voice to the song. I truly miss Vincent Price, he was a remarkable human being. 😔
Vincent is the man!
I will always love this and MR. Price.
