- Here's a song that is a funny / cute Halloween song, recorded in 1983, by Bobby "Boris" Pickett, as a sort of musical "sequel" to his 1962 hit, "Monster Mash". In this song, Bobby teaches the Frankenstein monster to speak through rap music. Although not as popular as the original "Monster Mash", this song is heard on many radio stations at Halloween time. A very good article on the life of Bobby "Boris" Pickett is online at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Pi...

This song was popular all my senior year of highschool. Every party this was bumping!
and horrorcore was born
I miss rap music from the 80's.
Back when it was creative and men controlled machines instead machines controlling men.
This shit still slaps
I can't unhear this.
Chavs should blast this out of their cars instead of the usual (c)rap! 😄
I vaguely remember this when I was a kid and it was like on for two years and then nobody ever play it again
Thanks for posting this! I hadn't heard it for 30 years...was starting to think I imagined it.
Same here!
I remember this playing on the radio in the 80's. I thought it was pretty cool

It's not the Monster Mash
It's not the Mash
I needed some quick cash
Normally you'd criticize something like this but for some reason I love this too much and come on... It's by Bobby Pickett! The Monster Mash guy!
Bobby Picket was my aunt's cousin. He wasn't money-minded at all. He did this because in the early '80s his Monster Mash album found a new audience of young kids & he wanted to do something 'hip'. He actually listened to groups like Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five & was pretty aware of what was new & popular. He paid for the studio time out of the dwindling royalties he got from sales of his first album but outside of a few hundred pressings, the album never became a hit. The only reason it got any airplay was because of his friend Dr. Demento.
Really sweet guy who doesn't deserve to be called greedy.
@@Arcademan09 This is much better than the Monster Swim.
@@ZiddersRooFurryI saw a video of him performing the Mash at a Hospital fundraiser. Rest in peace.
Who is here from Um, Actually? ify has created a monster.
So fucking random, this was on my recommended. CZcams your high, yet I love this shit
I'm a somewhat young person 24, and this is one of the weirdest things I've ever heard
hibbsification You haven't lived much than....by 24 you should have seen stuff way weirder than this...lol
Make sure you check out the original Monster Mash from 1962 if you're not familiar with it.
It's a Halloween song. What else should it be if not weird? You wanna hear more weird? Go look up Dr. Demento. Dr. Demento the DJ featured this tune on his show back in the 80's. I listened to the Dr. Demento Show every weekend for several years...when we had cassettes and vinyls, not CD's or mp3's.
It’s so weird 😂😂😂😂
Apparently it's from something called the doctor demento show! 'Nuff Said.
SHOCK THE BODY SHOCK THE BODY BODY

@@jasonninja55 what's the phrase, if you comment, they will come 😂?
Eminem been real quiet ever since this dropped..
Im gonna tell my kids this is Tupac.
I'm surprised someone as "white" as Bobby Pickett made a rap song in 1984 when rap was still very new. Cool lol
Same can be said for Mel Brooks he did a rap album in 1981.
Rap was novel and unique for a bit but quickly became very "gimmicky" in the mainstream in the 80s until gangster rap came out. Then it became more hard edge and less consumer friendly for a while. They used to use rap to advertise for kids and made jokey albums back then.
Shut your racist ass up …
Rap was invented by white people so...
@aboutashow Exactly; lots of quirky stuff, other examples Malcolm Mclarin- buffalo girls (1983), Wikki rap- by evasions (1981) & dont forget Shawn Brown in 84 immitating John Wayne with Rappin Duke, daha daha
