I always enjoy watching Sean's videos. Even though I will never have a home with any acerage or have any animals other then a cat and dog, I learn something every time. I was happy to see that he included the safety of when working with power tools to always have someone nearby. My son works with many power tools so I do know about that. Looks like a great goat pasture! I’m glad you were working safely when you were on your own! You had some great helpers too! How long will it take the goats to clear that area? Smart to put a water trough under where the roof run off will be! Keeps it from getting too muddy and eroded and water for the goats!
Enjoyed the video…brings back such fun memories of when I was about 10 or 11 years old helping my uncle build a fence at a neighbors place. Being from a big city and my uncle living in a rural area was a new experience for me that I wouldn’t have had where I was living and a memory that I will always cherish! 😊

He used to test the fence with a piece of grass and act like there was no electric going through. So he would have me touch his finger while he held that blade in the other hand just to prove to me- and I got the jolt. I have no idea how he could keep a straight face!

In Iowa, fencing laws are strict. Does Missouri have strict fencing laws? Fencing laws in particular for country farm land, homesteads etc in Iowa have to follow rules that include getting the next door neighbors involved by informing them about their side of the fence responsibilities in writing. Unless, the fencing project is strictly-non involving the neighbor's bordering property.

I totally understand about not wanting to use the auger by yourself, if it were to hit something it could wrench your arm and break one or both of them, it really is a two person tool! There is so much work, planning and measuring that goes into a project like this, most people, including myself, just don't understand how much! I drove by a place today that had stacks and stacks of palettes, several hundred, and I thought...I bet Shawn's eyes would surely light up if he saw these!! I bet those goats clear that land faster than you think! That would be a good video on how fast they clear it! Great video Shawn!! Great to see so much progress on the Homestead!!
Krista, right now they're just clearing brush for us, but we have milked them in the past. They're kind of Sarah's babies, so she's the biggest goat-lover around here. :)
