Its possible to get Chinese made copies of Foredom pendant motors, and even 90 degree grinders, and straight handpieces to fit Foredom flex drives. A reasonable set-up costs about £200, consisting of pendant motor, flex shaft, footpedal, quick release 2.25mm collet, straight handpiece, chuck type straight handpiece, 3mm right angle grinder, and a good selection of carbide burrs and grindstones. You would find that would be far better than Dremels, and well worth getting if you do much more than 3 or 4 porting jobs a year.
@@TheSteelweasel Other alternative is pro type gear. Then a right angle grinder alone costs nearly £500! Who makes the pistons for the cylinder you are working on? Dont recognize them?
Like yourself I've never done any tuning work but from the magazine articles I've read the output is dependent on size / type of carb and what performance criteria of exhaust you want . E G high reving, top end power or a low down torquey touring type engine . I would think that the output is dependent upon which combo you choose .
@@tonyobrien5295 here we go with the Charlie comments lol Raced and worked for a well known scooter shop and had experience with many combinations of set ups and study lots about tuning haven spoken to the likes of Fritz overmars Jan thiel and other known tuners all cylinders have there pros and cons so not going to get into keyboard fight Charlie had his ideas and success as many other did I'm just giving some of my research and development improvements to Steve I don't want to here about who's the best ect I have improved the power delivery and rideability and just passing it on my old group 6 is the fastest supermonza both ways at snetterton over 5mph faster up hill than the SSR 265 LC

Supplied tuned barrels and hand made expansion chambers to cj scooters . Race group 6 for three years . Also drag/ sprinting success in 1995 Avon Park fastest lambretta . Fastest overall and fastest street class . Making me the fastest road scooter in the country in 1995 ..... tuned all my own race and sprint scooter and always ran my own hand mad pipes ..... also 9 years racing endurance 6 hour in Spain....... all scooter prepared by me suspension. Brakes tuning etc ......
@@tonyobrien5295 well Tony ever lap record Charlie had has been smashed by us 7 time champions every UK track apart from Caldwell we hold the lap records for in group 4 and group 6 for you to say the standard kit is better than a modified one goes against the championships I'm not sure why your so up Charlie's ass slagging every other tuner off if you could achieve over 50 whp on a dynojet I must add was Charlie's previous Dyno you wouldn't be going on forums saying i couldn't get heat in the pipe to make the hp blabla why did Charlie design the exhaust duct wrong and not 75% of the port area why is the intake at the wrong angle why have the subs so wide it can short circuit why does his pipe not work i could go on but like i say 45+hp from theese kits on 99 unleaded we must havent a clue about tuning when Jimmy's runs methanol and makes 39hp at a push 🫸 I really don't get why you have to be so abusive and negative to everyone else
Howdoo Looks like you are having fun. ✌🏼✌🏼 Not sure if you realise but it’s Darrel Taylor (Taylor Tuning) he’s the Daddy of two stroke tuning, and Chris Sturgess Two different people although they do know each other very well.
Years ago as a yoof I had a paper thin 72mm cast iron barrel with a Bultaco single ring piston, the exhaust had a diagonal bridge brazed in to stop the ring falling out, I ran a twin plug head, and a 1" 3/16" Wal Phillips with a 48mm Fresco. Bonkers in a straight line, but horrendous to ride anywhere else, and drank quicker than Oliver Reed and Shane McGowan at a free bar!
In the next episode i will build the motor and give for the first time my story , life with lambrettas, racing , sprinting and tuning .
That looks as mad as a box of frogs, I can imagine the power output will be quite large

i think Tino uses METOR pistons but this one has no markings ....@@humourless682
