Wished I had you, your tools and your expertise here right now. A squealing fan belt led to the discovery of a loose alternator on my 2006 Toyota Scion XB. My son was going to tighten the alternator and before he could put a wrench to it the broken bolt (into the engine block) fell into his hand. I have an aluminum block so the only technique anyone around here uses (welding a nut to the broken bolt) can't be done. I'm sharing this video to him now so he can see how you do this and maybe he can find the necessary tools/bits to get the little piece out. There isn't much room under the hood of my little car so our major problem is finding a drill small enough to fit the space to be able to drill out the piece to replace the bolt. No one in our little town has any helpful advice for removing this bit of broken bolt. We are in a real pickle if he can't get this figured out! He leaves this weekend going back to work out of town so we have ONE DAY to fix my car before he leaves. DESPERATE IN ALABAMA!!

I'm dealing with a similar problem.... & some how my drill isn't able to drill to much of a deep hole, my bit to my drill will drill slightly then stop
I don’t know much about cars, but why is a car not able to be driven if the bold breaks like that?
The oil would all leak out........
