Same. INTJ/5w4 here. I've been analyzing my co-worker's character all year despite realizing his attractive traits don't add up to being an ideal match as we're both introverts - personality is something neither of us can change. In the end, who he's proven himself to be has added confidence to my intuitive ability to read people and, well... I can't shake the fact that I still like him, darn it. Striking up conversations about mutual podcasts we both enjoy to actually KNOW what he believes is now the second half of my plan. Then, if that goes as I hope it does, our family life and why we've both chosen to still be single. Podcasts on the modern dating culture will prove to be a natural shoe-in to graze the surface of that topic...

This is exactly how an INFP would act, INFPs are either too relaxed or too stressed about a date. If they DO like this person, they stress about it and run all over the place. If they DON'T like this person or if they are just meeting randomly most likely the INFP will be like ' Eh '.
INFP me... I'm ready in 30 min. or less. "Let me put on my shoes, brush my hair & teeth." Shouldn't of asked me out if you didn't want to meet up with "me". After 3 weeks of dating I will dump you or spend more time altering my appearance for our fun & pleasure on occasion. lol
I like how the ENFP is like "getting ready". She probably will forget to wear her outfit till the last minute because she's either worrying about some other detail she fantasized about before she had that first date or thinking about all the ways the date could go wrong OR right until it's time for the actual thing.
Also an ENFJ and recently had a two hour coffee date talking about my date's trauma and recovery from AA in her mid-twenties (she's doing quite well now). I... don't know how we got there from talking about scuba-diving, but... It just happens. It... always happens. :')

Haha, as an INTJ, I wish I had the stability to think that's a win, win situation, but I'd probably be traumatized for life if it didn't work out properly because as you said, I'd have been analyzing them for a year and already know if the first date would work out or not. But I'd definitely have a back-up plan in case the date didn't work out and I did have to never talk to him again.
As someone who dated an INTJ it really hurt how he used things against me to break up with me when he knew those about me going in… I was thinking that he chose to date me knowing those so why is that a reason to end things?? I know he thinks ahead so I figured he thought about that… it was frustrating tbh

that's why the saying "don't sh*t where you eat" exists. I'd never date a person that I can't avoid when things don't work out (e.g. colleague, roommate). I don't understand why people make their life unnecessarily difficult by doing that.
As an ISTP I'd like to state that I'm not only chosing the least smelling wardrobe item, but I also take a shower and (if I think it might be serious) I also shave the 3-4 days old stubble off my face. This is the sufficient amount of preparation for any date. (Of course if we are going somewhere specific I also make the necessary reservations.) Othervise, the video captures the mood and invested energy perfectly!

People are saying how great it is to be an INFJ, because “we’re rare”. But in reality, we’re such a mess. We have ridiculously high expectations for our future partner. We make up these unreal, romantic scenarios in our heads, imagining a future with an ideal partner that doesn't exist. We idealize people we barely know or create someone entirely new. Or imagine ourselves in a romantic relationship with fictional characters (I admit to all of these, especially the last one). And then we are met with the harsh reality. Depressing things aside, I loved your video! Keep up the good work!

ISTJ was spot on. How can you plan anything for a "surprise"? Do you want a casual flirty girly girl or an elegant glamour queen? Are we going to a 5 star restaurant or mud wrestling? Do I need to be chill and conversational or let out my adventurous party side? C'mon man, at least give me the attire to not disappoint you at first glance.
Things the ENFP will probably say on the date (and in most conversations): “Ooh you know what that reminds me off you know [insert something that only seems to link to us]” “Omg I know exactly what you mean. I [insert experience that vaguely relates]” “So what are your hopes and dreams” “Yeah that makes sense. Ooh did you know [random facts] Acts out entire monologue while sat in front of date (by that point if they don’t get weirded out you’ve found a keeper) Will probably debate about something I’m passionate about or even just for fun and not pick up on the other person (yep ENFP’s like debating too I actually thought I was an ENTP for a bit) Will almost defiantly knock a drink over or something at one point and/or spill food. Love the ENFP doing the monologue in the mirror- knowing full well we will never actually stick to it. The dilemma for wanting to be your authentic self- but wanting to make a genuine connection with everyone and having to deal with not being able to (the Fi- Critical Fe struggle so real). Also the Te “how should I act on this date” But in the end Ne wins and you end up either completely over sharing or contemplating the meaning of life, making a ton of pop culture references only you seem to find the link, and acting weird and not realising it. And obviously being oblivious to social and emotional boundaries (oopsie)

And 100% agree that this pretty much applies to any conversation we have with someone weather it's a date, convo with a friend, or random person at the supermarket who happens to like the same cheese as we do. And I also think it applies in text / IM conversations too... Ne knows no bounds!
In my earlier life, when I was ENFP, I went on a date and thought, at the beginning of the date, getting out of her car, that, for conversation, sharing the recent factoid I'd heard that maggots only eat dead tissue so you could actually throw a baby into a vat of maggots and it would be okay was a wise idea. It was not.

Yeah! I wanna see more ISTP too! My roommate is an ISTP. A ramble is coming... hehe Some observations: It's interesting how we both don't like planning things, like going to dinner/to an event. We'll talk about it sometimes, but normally don't figure it out until right before. She actually is more social than me (I'm ENFP), and makes me go out places, she remembers things super well (even remembering my class schedule) peoples names, etc. She's more organized than me. The "I'll fix it" stereotype is true. She wrapped a gift for me that I was wrapping because I didn't care about making it look nice XD She laughs a lot and has this duality of memes and strong political belief (same as me, it's amazing). She also says "no" in response to things that are definitely yes, with a blank face to be funny. *thinks* She asks me sometimes to not do things that are probably embarrassing, but I find hilarious. (like taking plastic knives from the Dinning area and keeping one in my pocket), but other things I do don't bother her and she laughs. Anyway, ISTP appreciation *applauds *

The INTJ is so painfully real that I can tell you: if I said yes to the date, it's because I made sure in advance that they can keep up with me messing with them. And yes ENTP, that and the "looking for a genuine conection" are one and the same. To me, at least.

Wow INFP is so accurate- I literally just gave casual dating a chance for over a month. And just yesterday completely cut Eve off with everyone and told them I’m not looking for a relationship. Also yes to me not being ready on time. This is so sad cause I really just want to find my husband but dating is overwhelming and time consuming… also ESFJ was relatable when I’m all giddy about a guy I talk him up haha
God it's not even dating and I'm already backing off I download dating apps, talk to a few people, 3 days later, delete the app And continue this vicious cycle a few weeks later

Honestly, being too timid to ask anyone out (even though I crushed so bad on many young women in high school and college) was the reason I didn't date anyone until my 20s, and she had to make the first move... Ended up marrying her and we're still married over 15 years later. So I was fortunately able to jump the casual dating scene altogether.

As an INTP, I'm a mixture of the INTP and INTJ here. I view dating as a great burden, so before I ask someone out, I already know that dating them is worth it. This tends to backfire, however, because in the period where I was deciding whether to ask her out, she has already gone and gotten a boyfriend. It's a rough cycle.

As an INTJ the analyzing someone I like and have known is so accurate, but for going on a date from an app I'm way more like the INTP. Finding a place to park is one of those thoughts that has literally been a part of me canceling a date.
How are all ENTJ skits exactly like my ENTJ friend?? She is EXACTLY like this, she perceives and handles EVERYthing like a project. Everything is planned, and her communication skills are so on point, she'd make anyone agree with her in any of her ideas. Even a trip to a café becomes a lesson about the economic value and properties of a slice of pie (I remember you had a skit about a similar situation in one of your videos Kristin, where the ENTJ was at an outdoors café with a friend - that's exactly how she is!). Hahaha as an INFP, I never casually dated. My friend set me up with her brother because she thought we would hit it off. We talked for 6 weeks before we even went on a first date to make sure our personalities, values, and goals in life were compatible. Once we determined that they were, and that we both really liked each other, we started dating, but there was nothing casual about it. We were dating with the intention to see if we wanted to get married. We were married 8 months after we met lol. It's been 11.5 years, and we are so happy together. He's an INTJ. We both wanted to be married and were serious about it which his sister knew, and it's why she set us up. Neither of us wanted to waste the other one's time or get too emotionally and romantically involved if we weren't compatible. I honestly think everyone should do this. By getting to know each other first, I feel like our relationship is based primarily on a really good friendship. Like we are best friends who are also completely smitten and in love with each other. It's so great
ENFP having that Te+Si organised rundown of things to keep in mind is spot on 😃 this is how I’ve been able to consciously change my habits - being 100% present in what I’m doing and saying and thinking and adjusting as you go, though I had to take breaks because using these 2 functions forcefully and at the same time is exhausting.

So funny I've been into various kinds of ENTPs and I totally agree to INTJ internal dialouge. And I relate to INFJs mirror self talking. BUT I'm an ENTJ.
As an INTJ, I can appreciate the pursuit of a win-win scenario, although I somehow find it easier to accomplish in a game of connect 4, or chess, then in a social situation. That being said, I think it makes sense when planning a date, to figure out a way to make the experience enjoyable for yourself, regardless of what the other person does. For example, if they don’t show up, you were meaning to check out this new restaurant anyways, and now instead of having to talk to someone, you can read while you wait for the food to arrive. Or, you wanted to go see that new movie anyways, so it’s still going to be an enjoyable time. Frankly, I suppose it’s simply a matter of “looking on the bright side” but I prefer to think of it as “hope for the best, plan for the worst”. Disclaimer: I’ve never been on a date, so take my advice with a grain of salt, although I think it makes sense regardless.

Most INTJs will be pretty up-front to let them know that they don't want/prefer to have a conversation with someone (if that's the case), and if the other person is unwilling to get it (usually an ExxP who thinks they can just come back later and the vibe will be different/reset) then you need to add jackassery according to taste, so they find it distasteful to keep coming back to talk to you. Summary: INTJs don't ghost you. They make you ghost them.
@@ninaportoc Deb answered the question well. I personally do not identify with that. I have a pretty small social circle, but even with them I’m not the most social. Overall, I keep myself relatively busy, and have a bad habit of not answering calls/ messages because I won’t have my phone on me, or around me. I will call back, or reply, when I do see my phone though. I will say though that in my limited experience, I do not ghost people, people will simply stop talking to me, which I honestly don’t mind at all. 3 is already a very sufficient number of friends for me, and I know with certainty that those friendships are real and genuine, through life experience with them. Quality will always trump quantity in that regard, and the pursuit of a high number of friends can sometimes look like the pursuit of an ego boost, or an attempt to fill a void, at least to me.

Personally I think INTJs are super smart, dedicated and loyal overall so your friends are lucky to have you. As an ENFP, I always fear I broke someone's boundaries, or I'm annoying them... I try to ask to know and make the person comfortable to tell me what they're thinking about my behaviors, that's why I had a hard time with ghosting being an INTJ behavior, because you all have the fame of being honest.
At first I thought I saw myself in the INTJ, ISFJ and INTP, but then the INFJ did the same "mirror-self talk" that I've done... oh so often and well.... You got me again Kristin. Although now there's only approximately a 25% chance that I'll break down crying, so I guess that's progress!

Thus we can deduce that the most common type´s are: ENTP, ISTP, ENFP, INFJ and INTJ. now this has only been conducted over this video so this may be uncerten. (INTJ in case you where wondering)

My last SO was an ISFJ and he 100% did this on our first few dates, and I 100% psychoanalyzed him. On our second date I remember he said something along the lines of "why am I pouring my feelings out to you I hope you don't mind." Spoiler: I don't mind. It's a hobby. - enfj
1:10 and 4:20. Again, are we really so predictable? I did try to cancel and she was singing my praises before I met her. To sing someone’s praise before they meet implies that she had met me without me knowing. You know what that means. Three people assisted me (actually her) to prevent cancellation of the blind (to me) date by me. These ESFJs have an unnatural social skill. She even convinced the person who set us up that she had not been stalking me but somehow just acquired the information.
_So I was sitting by the table at the restaurant waiting for my date to arrive, when I saw this girl come in dressed as Hinata Kaho from Blend S. "I didn't know there was anime convention happening nearby," I thought. Thinking nothing of it, I continued to ponder on the new project I would be starting that coming weekend when my ruminations were cut short by the cosplaying girl, "how dare she!" Just as I was about to give her a piece of mind she spoke in a devilishly sweet voice, "Hey, you're ENTP right? I'm ISFP, I hope you'll take 'good' care of me~". With one sentence she caught me off guard tore through all my expectations and created a vacuum in my mind. _*_WHO IS THIS GIRL?!_* Hope you guys enjoy xp
Loved this INTJ enactmt. I'm sure one of my friends has INTJ preferences. He was pretty particular about who he chose to be around. When we met the 1st time I could feel him analysing me(he was the one that introduced me to MBTI, but I didn't take it seriously). We got to hang out in mutual friend settings, he realised quickly I (ISFP) was not the ideal match for him😞, but we became cool friends & I learned a lot from him. He even invited me to his wedding when he met is ideal match. )

During my subtitle rewatch it occurred to me, what if all those people were preparing for a date with each other? And if so what would be the pairings? @Kristin how about a mini series with a continuous storyline? Doesn't have to be about dating necessarily. I know you have included hints and references to earlier videos before but a continued story with the same characters in each episode could maybe depict even more depth and complexity of the individual types. And yes I know that something like that would mean way more work for you than the usual videos. But maybe the patreon community can help if they are up for it?

This is exactly how an INFP would act, INFPs are either too relaxed or too stressed about a date. If they DO like this person, they stress about it and run all over the place. If they DON'T like this person or if they are just meeting randomly most likely the INFP will be like ' Eh '.

Haha, as an INTJ, I wish I had the stability to think that's a win, win situation, but I'd probably be traumatized for life if it didn't work out properly because as you said, I'd have been analyzing them for a year and already know if the first date would work out or not. But I'd definitely have a back-up plan in case the date didn't work out and I did have to never talk to him again.
As someone who dated an INTJ it really hurt how he used things against me to break up with me when he knew those about me going in… I was thinking that he chose to date me knowing those so why is that a reason to end things?? that's why the saying "don't sh*t where you eat" exists. I'd never date a person that I can't avoid when things don't work out (e.g. colleague, roommate). I don't understand why people make their life unnecessarily difficult by doing that.
As an ISTP I'd like to state that I'm not only chosing the least smelling wardrobe item, but I also take a shower and (if I think it might be serious) I also shave the 3-4 days old stubble off my face. This is the sufficient amount of preparation for any date. (Of course if we are going somewhere specific I also make the necessary reservations.) Othervise, the video captures the mood and invested energy perfectly!

People are saying how great it is to be an INFJ, because “we’re rare”. But in reality, we’re such a mess.
We have ridiculously high expectations for our future partner.
We make up these unreal, romantic scenarios in our heads, imagining a future with an ideal partner that doesn't exist. We idealize people we barely know or create someone entirely new. Or imagine ourselves in a romantic relationship with fictional characters (I admit to all of these, especially the last one).
And then we are met with the harsh reality.

But in the end Ne wins and you end up either completely over sharing or contemplating the meaning of life, making a ton of pop culture references only you seem to find the link, and acting weird and not realising it. And obviously being oblivious to social and emotional boundaries (oopsie)

Some observations:
It's interesting how we both don't like planning things, like going to dinner/to an event. We'll talk about it sometimes, but normally don't figure it out until right before. She actually is more social than me (I'm ENFP), and makes me go out places, she remembers things super well (even remembering my class schedule) peoples names, etc. She's more organized than me. The "I'll fix it" stereotype is true. She wrapped a gift for me that I was wrapping because I didn't care about making it look nice XD She laughs a lot and has this duality of memes and strong political belief (same as me, it's amazing). She also says "no" in response to things that are definitely yes, with a blank face to be funny. *thinks* She asks me sometimes to not do things that are probably embarrassing, but I find hilarious. (like taking plastic knives from the Dinning area and keeping one in my pocket), but other things I do don't bother her and she laughs.
Anyway, ISTP appreciation *applauds *

Wow INFP is so accurate- I literally just gave casual dating a chance for over a month. And just yesterday completely cut Eve off with everyone and told them I’m not looking for a relationship. Also yes to me not being ready on time. This is so sad cause I really just want to find my husband but dating is overwhelming and time consuming… also ESFJ was relatable when I’m all giddy about a guy I talk him up haha

Honestly, being too timid to ask anyone out (even though I crushed so bad on many young women in high school and college) was the reason I didn't date anyone until my 20s, and she had to make the first move... Ended up marrying her and we're still married over 15 years later. So I was fortunately able to jump the casual dating scene altogether.

As an INTP, I'm a mixture of the INTP and INTJ here. I view dating as a great burden, so before I ask someone out, I already know that dating them is worth it. This tends to backfire, however, because in the period where I was deciding whether to ask her out, she has already gone and gotten a boyfriend. It's a rough cycle.

As an INTJ the analyzing someone I like and have known is so accurate, but for going on a date from an app I'm way more like the INTP. Finding a place to park is one of those thoughts that has literally been a part of me canceling a date.
How are all ENTJ skits exactly like my ENTJ friend?? She is EXACTLY like this, she perceives and handles EVERYthing like a project. Everything is planned, and her communication skills are so on point, she'd make anyone agree with her in any of her ideas. Even a trip to a café becomes a lesson about the economic value and properties of a slice of pie (I remember you had a skit about a similar situation in one of your videos Kristin, where the ENTJ was at an outdoors café with a friend - that's exactly how she is!). Hahaha as an INFP, I never casually dated. My friend set me up with her brother because she thought we would hit it off. We talked for 6 weeks before we even went on a first date to make sure our personalities, values, and goals in life were compatible. Once we determined that they were, and that we both really liked each other, we started dating, but there was nothing casual about it. We were dating with the intention to see if we wanted to get married. We were married 8 months after we met lol. It's been 11.5 years, and we are so happy together. He's an INTJ. We both wanted to be married and were serious about it which his sister knew, and it's why she set us up. Neither of us wanted to waste the other one's time or get too emotionally and romantically involved if we weren't compatible. I honestly think everyone should do this. By getting to know each other first, I feel like our relationship is based primarily on a really good friendship. Like we are best friends who are also completely smitten and in love with each other. It's so great

So funny I've been into various kinds of ENTPs and I totally agree to INTJ internal dialouge. And I relate to INFJs mirror self talking. BUT I'm an ENTJ.
As an INTJ, I can appreciate the pursuit of a win-win scenario, although I somehow find it easier to accomplish in a game of connect 4, or chess, then in a social situation.
That being said, I think it makes sense when planning a date, to figure out a way to make the experience enjoyable for yourself, regardless of what the other person does. For example, if they don’t show up, you were meaning to check out this new restaurant anyways, and now instead of having to talk to someone, you can read while you wait for the food to arrive. Or, you wanted to go see that new movie anyways, so it’s still going to be an enjoyable time.
Frankly, I suppose it’s simply a matter of “looking on the bright side” but I prefer to think of it as “hope for the best, plan for the worst”.
Disclaimer: I’ve never been on a date, so take my advice with a grain of salt, although I think it makes sense regardless.

Most INTJs will be pretty up-front to let them know that they don't want/prefer to have a conversation with someone (if that's the case), and if the other person is unwilling to get it (usually an ExxP who thinks they can just come back later and the vibe will be different/reset) then you need to add jackassery according to taste, so they find it distasteful to keep coming back to talk to you.
Summary: INTJs don't ghost you. They make you ghost them.

I personally do not identify with that. I have a pretty small social circle, but even with them I’m not the most social. Overall, I keep myself relatively busy, and have a bad habit of not answering calls/ messages because I won’t have my phone on me, or around me. I will call back, or reply, when I do see my phone though.
I will say though that in my limited experience, I do not ghost people, people will simply stop talking to me, which I honestly don’t mind at all. 3 is already a very sufficient number of friends for me, and I know with certainty that those friendships are real and genuine, through life experience with them. Quality will always trump quantity in that regard, and the pursuit of a high number of friends can sometimes look like the pursuit of an ego boost, or an attempt to fill a void, at least to me.

Personally I think INTJs are super smart, dedicated and loyal overall so your friends are lucky to have you. As an ENFP, I always fear I broke someone's boundaries, or I'm annoying them... I try to ask to know and make the person comfortable to tell me what they're thinking about my behaviors, that's why I had a hard time with ghosting being an INTJ behavior, because you all have the fame of being honest.

My last SO was an ISFJ and he 100% did this on our first few dates, and I 100% psychoanalyzed him. On our second date I remember he said something along the lines of "why am I pouring my feelings out to you I hope you don't mind." Spoiler: I don't mind. It's a hobby.

1:10 and 4:20. Again, are we really so predictable? I did try to cancel and she was singing my praises before I met her. To sing someone’s praise before they meet implies that she had met me without me knowing. You know what that means. Three people assisted me (actually her) to prevent cancellation of the blind (to me) date by me. These ESFJs have an unnatural social skill. She even convinced the person who set us up that she had not been stalking me but somehow just acquired the information.

Loved this INTJ enactmt. I'm sure one of my friends has INTJ preferences. He was pretty particular about who he chose to be around. When we met the 1st time I could feel him analysing me(he was the one that introduced me to MBTI, but I didn't take it seriously). We got to hang out in mutual friend settings, he realised quickly I (ISFP) was not the ideal match for him😞, but we became cool friends & I learned a lot from him. He even invited me to his wedding when he met is ideal match. )

During my subtitle rewatch it occurred to me, what if all those people were preparing for a date with each other? And if so what would be the pairings?
@Kristin how about a mini series with a continuous storyline? Doesn't have to be about dating necessarily. I know you have included hints and references to earlier videos before but a continued story with the same characters in each episode could maybe depict even more depth and complexity of the individual types.
And yes I know that something like that would mean way more work for you than the usual videos. But maybe the patreon community can help if they are up for it?

My INTJ husband told me that when he was dating within his social group, he'd take six months to get to know a woman's stats before asking her out--very similar to what you've portrayed here. I bypassed this process by meeting him online on a dating site where all that information was already available.
